Honestly one of the coolest videos you guys have posted! I like how you showed multiple bikes and got in depth with each one. Personal favorite was the Justin hills bike you can tell JGR is trying to squeeze every bijt out of that rmz
JGR, even before their partnership with Factory Suzuki, has had insane technology that they developed themselves. Now that they are a factory team, I can only imagine the secrets that those bikes hold. Makes me want to nerd out to the techs!
It is cool to see which rider prefers the things that you as a rider like, like the rubber boot on the shifter end of Craig's bike, also the level, his is much lower compared to the others. When you grew up doing your own wrenching while racing you learn more about each little thing that you can do different on your bike by seeing the factory bikes, so getting to see up close each one of these bikes is a real treat thx RacerX n Ping. Notice what looked like a heat-thermal coating on the KTM cylinders too, Kawasaki had huge cylinder bolts too. Suzuki hubs were smaller, got to love that Titanium. Nothing like those PC Kawasaki so much more work, even green coating on the rear shock shaft. Also looks like KTM uses more stock parts, oh also the huge counter-shaft sprocket on the Yamaha w/o holes drilled Titanium? Renegade fuels for Honda, I bet Honda has a secret mixture. Also Honda's front fender has more holes for cooling maybe they need custom radiators like PC Kawasaki. Big thumbs up Ping for the extra insight !!! Oh another thing I noticed the Yamaha had the inside links on the chain drilled super trick there.
Great video! Love all the little random/detailed pieces of info you give, like the Peg to remind a rider to turn on his Data Acquisition Box, or why Geico chose to go with Renegade fuel, dope shit RacerX, dope shit.
Ping stated that the holes drilled in the chain roller were used for a different feel when the shock was deeper in the stroke. I do not believe that since the chain will not be in contact with the roller in the deeper stroke of the shock, so how can it be compressed if it doesn't touch it ? Only when the shock is at full lift does the chain compress on the roller. Anything that spins creates weight mass and then you have drag on the chain which then creates drag on the engine. Like drilling the inner chain links making the overall weight of the chain lighter therefore freeing up horsepower. Put steel sprockets on your dirt bike and go ride then switch to aluminum it makes a huge difference. I remember when I bought a wreaked Ducati that had Magnesium rims and I switched them to my race bike, it made a world of difference not just in acceleration but going from side to side switch up in the corners was a whole new world on the track. After that I looked at everything in a different way, if it spins it needs to be as light as it can be.
Well nothing stock about those bikes .. but dang they are beautiful machines , would love to ride that kx to see how much different it is to even the SR , there production top of the line race bike .
Connor Overstreet a custom made procircuit holeshot device they sell them on there website or can also check out Tammer holeshot devices they have a rear holeshot device to lock the rear shock down I use them on my race bikes
Im surprised that nobody is using any grip for the sides of the bikes. I remember when you used to see grip tape on the sides of bike all the time. I tried it one time and loved it but it was destroying my moto pants. I found Stomp grip since then and cant ride without it now. I feel like my bike is like slippery butter without the Stomp grip on it.
It's almost like the exact same factory is pumping out ALL the frames for ALL the different manufacturers...except Husky and KTM which have AWESOME bikes, frames, parts etc...ready to race. Honda...not so much anymore. Back in 1998 u buy it, put on boots, race it!!! Like what KTM is currently doing 🍻
Some teams will sell them, but they'll take off all of the works parts and sell with a stock motor or suspension. You cannot purchase those exact bikes.
Google User you can build one but cant buy a already built factory bike they keep them or take all the factory parts off put it back to some what stock and goes up forsale
Google User i doubt you would, because if something breaks you cant replace it , engine wise. They use unobtanium parts, specially made for the specific engine package and with that goes certain amount of hours on different parts, they tear the bike apart after every single race to get data and check for possible wearness. The guys pushing these bikes to the limit and it wears, not much of you see is showroom stock they touch literally everything to make it better and more compeditive, and if you would buy one of those and go to your local gas station you would not be able to run pumpas without it denotating on you. There is some stuff you can but because of the production rules Showa A kit for example. You can ask for similar engine package but it still wont be the same, factory transmissions, electronics, race team specific cams - Pistons, you name it all tailored for rider and teams preference they sending alot of it back to austria or Japan depending on the manufactures One good example is the exhaust, they might look what you buy of the showroom floor but there is different internals and endcaps and non stop testing to produce better sound restricion and power That is why there is no price tag and you never rarely see anything on the market that is factory parts. But if you want you could always build replicas and you would be good cause only a minority could use a full blown racebike anyway. Lets say if you would get a hold of one you would literally frame it.
blomgren182 all it takes is money & the right connections if you got that you can get anything i have one of Austin forkners race bikes but i also ride for team green amateur program
Ping has become one of my favorite dudes in the industry. Racer X has been putting out some really good content, I love watching the Preview Shows

YZF51 I definitely agree I'd love to be able to walk around with pingree while he checks these bikes out
I feel bad for JGR, its an uphill battle to get a suzuki to be competitive
Just remember JGR gets a lot of their stuff also from their Nascar shop...

Pro circuit kaw has a cosworth 3 speed gearbox
Did ping really say again that the carbon fibre allows it to flex more?
when will factory teams make there own tires?
Ping what type of triple clamps, offset, ect. The little chassis details that make these rockets work. Does Aron run the suspended Nekkens?
Yamaha & KTM & Husky Run Nekkens while KX,CRF,RMZ run X-trig triple clamps as for the offset every rider is different
Emil Opffer p
Emil Opffer II
I just realized that the yamaha factory 250 isnt star racing it has a big monster logo on the side and they didnt have that last year

Connor Overstreet problably a pro circuit holeshot device. not being a smartass just saying it is probcircuit race team and i do believe they make one
Not sure what one is on his bike as shown, but Pro Circuit does sell a holeshot device that looks to be a rebadged Works Connection piece.
Connor Overstreet a custom made procircuit holeshot device they sell them on there website or can also check out Tammer holeshot devices they have a rear holeshot device to lock the rear shock down I use them on my race bikes

Who gets to buy these bikes when they’re done with them?
Some teams will sell them, but they'll take off all of the works parts and sell with a stock motor or suspension. You cannot purchase those exact bikes.
UndyingEuphoria that’s too bad. Would love to buy one!
