These segments are awesome. Next video should be on a some privateer bikes. Would be cool to see some of the stuff those guys run and can help them get their sponsors out.
Great video Ping, but @ 2:45 that's a O2 sensor not a heat sensor. It does allow them to collect AFR data for tuning or use closed loop feedback on the EMS.
Glad to see Kawi giving Tomac some help with his front brake protection, a season too late unfortunately. Also good to see the low profile skid plates with ears to protect the cases/covers, hopefully they will spill over into the consumer market for us off road guys to have more low profile options.
This tiny holes drilled in this bracket drastically improve the handling of the bike? What? Very cool bikes. All those little things add up to an improvement I'm sure I think most of it psychological though.
I'm surprised how stock Cooper's bike is, but anyways 1/2 the stuff they put on is for show not go, we know the speed is in the rider, i wish them all well..
The 70s and 80s were the years where it was big differences. Old stock bikes were so heavy and there were no weight rules. Works bikes were sometimes 30 40 lbs lighter
Rules are implemented so privateers aren't completely screwed, two big examples are the chassis (swingarm, cases and frame) must be the same as a production bike and that their is a certain weight the bikes must weigh, too little and the bike wont pass inspection.
That’s the main filmed for all racer x films and their main photographer. He’s probably using a lens with a lot of zoom so any movement at all makes it look crazy shaky.
Awesome vids, but also be good to know a bit more info on the trick stuff re the suspension, KTM, Husky not even mentioned using Traxx shock and Cone Valve Forks pretty much what all the teams off road SX MX use, but we can actually buy that too if you have the samoleons to afford them. Re KTM and Husky ya hear from haters all the time how unreliable they are yet prob never ridden or owned one, yet as the Ping says these guys do very little to them esp the 450s to race SX, that itself speaks volumes! But the Factory teams have an even bigger advantage as they are running the new motors not 2018 very, but sup 2019 versions, lighter faster stronger again, also be interested in getting some feedback on the new shock positions on the Husky and KTMs Factory 19prod bikes. Quite different to the 18. That Akrapovic Silencer on MMS bike wow that is so sick, how a Silencer should look short, not like a Bazooka out the back, all the Factory bikes look great props to the mechanics and teams.
If your talking about the welds running with the length of the pipe at the bend, it's a outer rock/roost guard welded to the head pipe. If your talking about the welds in general that's tig.
mean those weld that run whit the lenght of the pipe! But i wached whit phone i didint notice that there was roost guard!! Because any stock pipes dont have that kind of guars! Thanks for pointing that out
In europe mxgp and enduro gp guya allmost all run Renthal Twinwall 999 bars so why not in america? Do those guys need littlepit flexier bar to supercross? And all the bar have way more rise do that help whit whoops or why because little pit lower bar would make more front wheel friction?
Actually 997, 998 and 999 have all the same sweap, width, rise, and all the stats but 999 is the slowest and 998 is 0,6cm higher and 997 is 1,5cm higher if i remeber right! But still ama guys run mostly higher bars that euro guys and the run fatbard not twinwalls!!
Life On Two Wheels ? i know 4 MXGP riders personally that use twinwalls I trained with a few for the us gp at ww ranch every rider has a different set up not everyone likes same thing
FlmxFilms i know that its personal preference but my originally guestion was why euro riders allmost all use twinwall and in america no one runs. And why americans run higher bars. Because on mxgp guys run similary bar setup and in america ama guys run similary bar setup but if we compare america to mxgp no one rides same kind of bar setup there must be a reason? Maybe twinwall too stiff? Maybe ama rules say that you cant have that crossbar? That was my question not anything to do whit personalprecerense
Hey Ping, "If Bob Hannah would have run for President agasint hillary, would he make her cry?" (a question to "Electronic Ping" hard copy years ago, that was me). Trump? Close enough. :) Nice vid. Thanks Ping and RXI.
I'm not buying the whole "very little done to the engine" thing. I seem to remember all the time seeing dungey and some other rider (fill in the blank) in a drag race to a corner and the KTM would always win. They're doing a lot to the engine. Port, Polish, special map, probably a high output stator, specially designed high-flo head, piston and so on.
coming from the MTB world where carbon rims are the default for high-end bikes, is there such a thing for dirt bikes? And if so, why is no rider using them? A lot of these guys ride MTB to train, likely with carbon rims, so certainly it's not an "awareness" thing. Any ideas? Can't be price either...maybe they're worried about catastrophic failure? (cracked versus bent rims?) Or they need heavier rims to be able to control the bike in the air?
Can't stand how fast the bikes are progressing so fast. Eventually In a couple of years these bikes are gonna be ugly as hell and there is so much useless shit you don't need already
Dude you gotta talk louder, saliva drooling out of my mouth is so loud I can't your audio...its no shock that the stock motors are plenty strong,I started on 1975 Honda 125 four stroke,it was supposed to be 1978 RM-80,bought with my dough, from my paperoute job,but I could really complain, the old Honda had 625 original miles on it,after racing two strokes it was about 15 years that I'd been kinda curious to ride new four strokes,I really want a 250four stroke race bike, but I was fortunate to have couple of close friends who had 450fours, 06 yzf426,and 07 CRF450R,the Honda was near open area, where I could twist the grip off it to see what it had,and it felt like I could take it right to the starting line at outdoor nationals, wow, traction was outstanding first thing I noticed, handling was Honda steering geometry which I love, power was there and so strong and very useable, not hard to control I had to keep my right foot on the rear brake to keep the front end at the one foot level and no higher, giggling the whole time, okay okay I want one, every time I try to get free they pull me right back, like crabs in bucket...awsum I'll take a 250f thank you,I'm sticking to the 125cc two strokes I can twist the grip off it and not feel too much like real work, although a 450four isn't out,I'd rather have a smaller, and lighter built toy to play with, pro circuit I need your help...just kidding maybe later..
Youd be surprised. Remember these guys are holding on for 20+ laps. The mapping adjustment is genius because with the push of a button you can have a rocket for a good start then a comfortable manigable ride for the rest of the race.
Best segment RacerX has ever produced.
These segments are awesome. Next video should be on a some privateer bikes. Would be cool to see some of the stuff those guys run and can help them get their sponsors out.
Great video Ping, but @ 2:45 that's a O2 sensor not a heat sensor. It does allow them to collect AFR data for tuning or use closed loop feedback on the EMS.
if they are so into saving weight to go as far as hollowing out bolt heads why do the Honda's run a a dual exhaust?
I love the color of the anodized nut HRC uses on the rear master cylinder, looks so nice
m1ke2001 what bout KR94 front Titanium billet caliper tho so sick🍻💪
Thank you RacerXIllustrated for the amazing coverage keep up the great work💯🍻💪
Factory Honda and chads bike are sick.
Glad to see Kawi giving Tomac some help with his front brake protection, a season too late unfortunately. Also good to see the low profile skid plates with ears to protect the cases/covers, hopefully they will spill over into the consumer market for us off road guys to have more low profile options.
🍻💪
Thanks for the upload :) Knew you guys wouldn't only cover the 250's!!!!
Casey Lee They already did.
Casey Lee oops my bad
The biggest difference in those bikes is the talent you put on the seat.
Cool coverage. Can we see bikes like the 7 deuce deuce and Matt Biscegleia ?
This tiny holes drilled in this bracket drastically improve the handling of the bike? What? Very cool bikes. All those little things add up to an improvement I'm sure I think most of it psychological though.
All that money and ingenuity and your pants still come undone.
The probe on the exhaust in a O2 sensor, you use that to know how rich or lean the bike is running.
Those JGR bikes have a lot of work done to them. The others had a small amount in comparison.
most of their bikes are made in house!! At lease they have a nascar side where they can get parts and don't have to spend money on them..
I'm surprised how stock Cooper's bike is, but anyways 1/2 the stuff they put on is for show not go, we know the speed is in the rider, i wish them all well..
I see why it’s so hard for privateers now
The 70s and 80s were the years where it was big differences.
But again, stock bikes are so good now, KTM, Husky......
The struggle is real for us privateer's 🍻💪
i didnt know you race supercross?
Great stuff, really cool to see & have explained! Excellent work.
PING,
Awesome bikes, but I'm missing the stache bro. What happened?
great stuff! please continue
Man it’d be a dream come true if I got to ride one of those
lol i love how in the begining a uhaul truck goes by
That kawasaki kx450f is really stunning beautiful dirt bike..but why kick start, not electronic start?
Are they going to release those Akrapovic Carbon chain guides out to the public? Those things are trick!
missing exhaust spring at 17:58
What finish are you talking about at 9.10? Sounds similar to anodizing, but different.........
PLEASE tell me where you found the white gas tank for the bradshaw inapired yz 125. I need it badly.
Tomac bike looks like a piece of candy........
mmmmmmm that thing is beautiful
Damn them bikes are worth some money holy shit.
Camera guy was shaking from excitement probably, but cool to see all the bikes up close!
That’s the main filmed for all racer x films and their main photographer. He’s probably using a lens with a lot of zoom so any movement at all makes it look crazy shaky.
Anyone notice the "KTM Racing" rear disc on deano's bike? interesting.
The Kawasaki runs a sic clutch cable..awesum
Sooo..... is Michael j fox working as a camera man for racer x now?
Those bikes sure do look really nice... if I was a billionaire I would buy all brands.
What exhaust did the crf have on ?
JGR makes nice stuff. I would love to see their shop.
i would like to see both of their shops!
The Honda skid plate isn’t in carbon fibre??
Awesome. Who makes the stickers on the bike?
Awesome vids, but also be good to know a bit more info on the trick stuff re the suspension, KTM, Husky not even mentioned using Traxx shock and Cone Valve Forks pretty much what all the teams off road SX MX use, but we can actually buy that too if you have the samoleons to afford them. What is achodized? does Ping mean anodized ?
Great job, Ping..
Everything but the swing arm looks new on the Honda’s the swing arms still look like there from the late 90s lol
Heat sensor? You sure it’s not an o2 sensor? Cause that would make more sense
how do not mention the recluse clutch?
Man what kind of transmission is he saying is it just works or something else with it. Help please
dope vid
WTB Vibration Reduction. Great video, but camera man has some shaky hands and focus issues. Sweet bikes though, love this stuff.
The husky pegs are not standard, akrapovic footpegs
Why kennys exhaust had those little welds ? It to make it stronger whit lighter materials?
If your talking about the welds running with the length of the pipe at the bend, it's a outer rock/roost guard welded to the head pipe. If your talking about the welds in general that's tig.

Awesome!
Someone should show Ken flexx bars, I broke my arm last Easter and now I have them on all my kx250 and my bike.
The First clip isn't mine. Props to the guy that hacked that together😂✊
Charmiachle had data collecting stuff in 1999 lol

Chad Reeds pegs look like a Burger King Crown 👑
Wasn't sure there was a need for "extra volume" on the ignition side. Haha
Just wished that Honda would a 2 stroke, dam
There are Honda two strokes called cr
🤙🤙🤙
Lightspeed used to make a lot of carbon fiber parts. Are they not in business anymore?
You'll see a lot of LightSpeed stuff on the 250f's in the other video :)
They supply star Yamaha
Still around
Cooper Webb had lightspeed chain guide
Ok thanks guys!

i run 997 1 1/8" bars all depends on what the rider prefers some do run 999 bars there just slightly shorter and have a different bend

Hey Ping, "If Bob Hannah would have run for President agasint hillary, would he make her cry?" (a question to "Electronic Ping" hard copy years ago, that was me). Trump? Close enough. :)
Nice vid. Thanks Ping and RXI.
Ping on the way to the far corner to see Chad did you stop for a "puff" ? You must be high hoping Chad gets a win.

I have only crf 150 L 😢
Who ever is behind the camera needs some practice on focusing the lens quicker 😵
The front of the K R Honda seat cover looks like I fitted it..lolz
All that expensive trick stuff and Tomac still runs a cable clutch?!
i ran zip ties on my spokes back in the late 80s
I thought Ken has KYB... well...
SpiderMonkey he used to, changed this year because he like the feel
SpiderMonkey alot people are switching back to Showa,Ohlins or Factory Connection also
"the Astericks disk guard, this thing is rigid"
*taps carbon lightly*
I don't understand why they couldn't achieve some of this technology in the 70s and 80s especially in the 70s when bikes had shit suspension
Can you spot the hot dog on the Suzuki? Like if you found it
Can't stand how fast the bikes are progressing so fast. Eventually In a couple of years these bikes are gonna be ugly as hell and there is so much useless shit you don't need already
Omg kenny's bike 😍💦
Please learn the correct saying for Akrapovic it's not pronounced how it's spelt 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Interesting, as spelt while interchangeable outside the US would more likely make a hearty roll or pancakes here.
stock valve stem caps, are you kidding me? EPIC FAIL
Tomac is kawasaki bike
if ya love 2 strokes check out kaplan america on youtube
Really interesting stuff. But that cameraman is awful
I hope someone could gift me any of these bikes

So much cheating. No way are those kawi cases stock and I guarantee all of them have frame mods.
this is moto-porn!
Stock power my ass, but a great way to sell bikes.
