    Definitely we need more such car India at price of 30 to 55 lakh price, Fortuner is single handedly is dominating that part with fortuner& fortuner is way too much expensive

      Whatever we say. But mindset of consumer will be stuck on Fortuner. However they get treated at toyota dealership. But they will die to get that overpriced shit box. It’s the sad reality. When there won’t be sales why will hyundai think to bring it.

    3:00 UV filter for the sunlight? He missed the feature briefing, that button is for the UV-C Sterilization Tray which is applied to the top of the passenger glove compartment, providing easy sterilization of frequently used items, such as cell phones, wallets, etc.

    At last headlights and DRL’s came in a cluster together. Front fascia look promising for sure.. Rear light could have also placed proportionally 😢🙄 It placed really low down…

    My first reaction was that it looks like a Defender (in a good way) and then I saw its rear end. I realized that this is probably the most hideous rear end on any vehicle that I have ever seen.

    265 NM of torque is too low for such a heavy vehicle. With a torque converter on board, I don't think real world efficiency will be more than 6 or 7. Such a lovely car otherwise. Wish they bring it to India with a high torque diesel

    I think it will be a good product for Indian market if Hyundai launches it.. bcoz people trust Hyundai just like Mahindra and Tata…and there is no competition for fortuner…and also there are many Indian who can buy 50lakh car but not be able afford 80-90 lakh Land Rover but want to have all luxury around 50 lakh

    It'll never come for 50 lakh in India. They'll probably make it around 1 crore or thereabouts. Even the Toyota Fortuner, with Taxes in Australia costs under 30 lakhs while in India, I doubt you can get it under 30 lakh.

    I personally loved the exterior look. If they manage to hit it off with the pricing in India, for me atleast, it would obliterate the Fortuner from existence entirely!

    Well, I am not really a fan of this car's looks, especially its rear side. They should've extended/modified Tuscon's look for this car, in my opinion. Same complain with Creta as well.

      The outgoing 2017 Santa Fe model of India was the extended version of Tucson. This one is two generations ahead.

    Seems like hyundai hired a lot of designers and engineers from JLR. Its so much like the defender and has a lot of cue all around even the dimensions are the same as 110. 😮😮. And seems like the engineers are not very happy with the hike - just look at the rear end. 🤮

    I guess the designers were so tired of designing this long and bulky car by the time they sat to design the rear they just made a flat board like rear end to somehow complete the car design 😂

    The Tucson and the Ioniq 5 are class leaders in many areas. In the expected price bracket with those powertrains and dynamics, this would merely be an 'also ran' . Almost destined to fail even before its launched.

    It’s amazing as always Hyundai never step back in features with its arrivals but the exterior is pretty unexpectedly not impressive specially from rear side. Other then that it’s totally worth and hopefully it’s get soon on the road of india. And sir please let us also know about the upcoming date of all new e class face lift.

    @AutocarIndia you should check the fact that the car you are reviewing here makes about 227 HP & 350Nm of torque with the combination of the ICE and Hybrid System.

    Fourtuner has become a rich and powerful status in India none can beat that status, but yeah many have tried lyk Ford endeavour and Pajero but unfortunately they dint make out

    Yes if it gives decent mileage and can cruise comfortably between 120-150 kmph keeping latest expressways in mind.. Not bad hyundai.. I like the retro design.. Keep it a lac or two above fortuner so only classy people would prefer it.. It will sell less but don't bring it in India for the numbers game..

    Ok so 2 points here from my view.
    1. What is up with the rear design. I mean I get they wanna make it "cool" and "futuristic" but it just looks like it's part of some other car.
    2. 1.6L petrol (hybrid) for a car this size ??
    Oh just realised a 3rd point...upwards of 50L. I don't think it's a very wise choice..

    50 lakhs for a 1.6 ltr engine? Definitely would go for a fortuner or a skoda kodiaq or if we lucky we can get ford back (sanad plant sale is on hold) and have the Bi-turbo for endeavour/ everest.

    Fortuner's real competition is Hyundai Palisade, not this one. But I really wish Hyundai launches this car, or both these cars in India too. I don't know why they haven't launched them in India yet.

    H pattern headlamps are the worse... I personally think not just copying silhouette of Land rover defender will work... But also it needs to be capable and a good 3rd row seat for 2 adults of 6 footers...
