Wonderful! always amazed how this turns out ❤ was struggling to find a video in English last year when I made it! had to get my partner to translate for me 😅 I also made the Kulish too 😁
I heard about cheese paskha, but never find in sale or tried it for taste. Only baking paskha or how you call it kulich. Thank you for recipe. It's not easy to find curled cheese, but possible to make it from cottage cheese. Now I know how to make it!
Ljudmilla Mihhalko Thank you so much. Unfortunately Cottage cheese will not work for this recipe. It contains a lot of moisture and will separate. You will have to use farmer's cheese, tvorog, which you can easily make yourself. 🤗
Sorry, ricotta will not be ok for this recipe. It doesn't have the sourness that farmer's cheese had and the texture. You can make your own farmer's cheese by combining 1 gallon of whole milk and 1 bottle of buttermilk, plus 2 tbs of lemon juice. Bring it to a boil, but do not boil, then let sit for 1p min, then using cheese cloth stein it. And you got yourself farmer's cheese that would be perfect for this recipe 😋
I tried making mine today and I'm concerned because the mixture was liquid when I placed it in the mould. Just hope in the morning it will turn out in good shape. In the mean time the extra mixture I've made I've placed in a bowl in the fridge just to see if the mixture will turn solid.
@@NastassjaCanCook already have done so and I got quite a lot of liquid out. It was enough to put into a glass and make egg liquor 😅 My paskha is still in the fridge and I'm so excited to see how it turns out tomorrow in time for Easter 😀

Very interesting video. What is the red pyramid shaped box called? I've always been fascinated by the Slavic culture, and am wanting to make Paskha for Easter this year.
Thank you so much😍It's called Paskha mold. My grandmother had one made out of wood and it was probably 60 years old. I guess things like that passed from generation to generation. 😍Thank you for watching and nice comment. 🤗
I love the meticulously painted nails and the elaborate coat-sleeve that is displayed as you point to the ingredients. An American wouldn't make such an effort, strikes me as particularly Russian :-)
Oue love . I am from Egypt. C paskhouy. love Russia. Z.
Thanks for the video. I have a project and i chose to do Russia. Thanks for the vid.
decoration was too much, on my opinion, otherwise, thanks for the recipe :)

I know you said there are only two cheese to use for this but would ricotta be okay?

It should drain out overnight. Keep the bowl under the mold, to catch extra liquid.

@@NastassjaCanCook Okay. Thanks a bunch. I live in the U.S. So, will I have trouble finding any of the ingredients?
@@nicholasnewlin1138 Go to the Russian store in your town. You'll find all of the ingredients there😂
@@NastassjaCanCook Thank you. That makes sense. I live in Washington state, and there's tons of Russian stores.

Please do not use American slang: "gonna", etc
