When I reflect on Romo, I think about the Giants Game when Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, and Zack Martin first played together. That line played so well that they literally did a replay where they counted 8 seconds Romo was in the pocket before he found a open receiver. At that moment, I realized that Jerry wasted so much of Romos career not building that caliber of line until the end of his career (before or AFTER the first broken collar bone that decimated the season because our backup was John Kitna- remember him? ). Fast forward to now, I see that Dak never had a consistent (before people start saying I'm tripping: 1st year was prime Zeke and Dez not running correct routes, 2nd year Zeke was suspended/ missed the playoffs, 3rd year they traded for Amari Cooper, 4th year missed the playoffs when Amari sat on the last play of the Philly game, 5th year injured, 6th year Cooper and CD, 7th Amari traded leaving only CD as the consistent threat). My point is Jerry wouldn't mount up on offensive skilled players (LIKE PHILLY DID FOR HURTS), on top of not having a DC that had a solid philosophy when it came to playoff time to help with the success for the team. In other words, this is history repeating itself but with a different quarterback and same avoidable problems.
Jerry has proven that he cant put together a fully physical team that's capable of getting to the top of the league. He drafts for profit and exposure and not to win it all. These fools that want Dak gone must not remember the years between Quincy Carter and Romo. The Joneses couldn't even field a team that could make the playoffs. And now since the NFL is so hyperfocus on the QB position people forget what has been the commen denominator in winning it all, the ability to control the trenches
@@ti253799 I believe Dak is a top 10 QB but the make up of the Cowboys is mostly a finesse team. You can't win the big game if your missing physicality. Dan Marino could be regarded as what you consider clutch but played his whole career on Teams similarly built like the Cowboys of today. Great WR but a soft defense. That team put up great offensive numbers but would get killed in the Playoffs by teams like the Raiders, Steelers, Browns and Broncos. Cowboys have an amazing QB but lacks an overall physical team. That shows when your matched up against teams thar has the physicality.

The Cowboys always had talented teams but their QBs don’t come through when it matters most, they got more than they expected out of Romo and Dak but they need too groom a legit college prospect!

Tony should have been the starting QB after his injury.I believe when Jerry picked Dak as his new starter ,Jerry flushed his chances for a Superbowl win down the drain when he made that decision.
Romo couldn't stay on the field and never played another down. He only had 3 winning seasons as a starter after playing 9. Dak has 7 winning seasons out of 8 and has a better win % than Romo, so not sure how he flushed his SB chances?
