@@xiolage I just replaced with the standard OEM pug filter in the end I was going to get a BMC filter but the mixed reviews put me off haha, too much dirt entering the engine apparently 😂
Great video mate! Had mine fully valeted with some detailing today. What are your thoughts on replacing the pistons with the stainless steel ones from godspeed? I also keep getting tempted by an ECU remap. There is a garage in Maidstone that do it and the stats are impressive- 263 to 295hp and 340nm to 380nm.
Thanks mate, I have actually got a video of me replacing the pistons with the god speed ones.. would recommend. Regarding remaps etc, I'm going to upgrade as much hardware as I can before getting it mapped. 💪🏼
@@xiolage the one my GTI BPS has is different and it seems even worse than that... Well, I guess I'll try to find a better one! BTW Nice videos, would have liked to buy a blue GTI but I found a black one, still an amazing car, have fun with it on the track!
@@xiolage mine's 2021, an online search seems to prove my dipstick is the stock one (bloody awful) and yours is probably what the OG owner considered an upgrade, that's why I was asking you... Well, I guess I will have to take it out several times in order to clean the canal a bit before taking an actual reading

I did mine mate I used millers oil Peugeot spec of course, the air filter is a right pain in the arse. Great vid again 💯

is it a 7mm square drive for the gearbox plug? if you find yourself stuck, a interior door handle (from your house) is the same size.

I don’t have the exact size but the one that euro car parts matches up with the 308 is perfect!

What year is your GTi? Could it be the THP vs PureTech engine difference?

@SpiritCrusher89 Oh right, yep the 2021 has a PureTech engine which i’ve heard is slightly different. Could involve a different dipstick!
