@xiolage found a great tuning shop near me in maidstone as well. Looks like I'd get a good bump up to about 300hp and 370 or NM. Seems pretty good but my only concern is how these things go down if you come to claim something on the old warranty...😅
Yep, was thinking that. Knock is like a rattle more than a knock. Only when turning the wheel right by 20 degrees and going over rough surface. Could be drop links too?
@@xiolage drop links are also super common to see themselves out, could be worth a punt, parts are cheap and worst case is it's just preventative maintenance
The knocking noise will be the top mount bro. Mine creeks like crazy. Out of interest are all your jacking mount points bent out? I hate jacking the thing up🤣
I’ve just had to replace both front shock absorbers, had knocking from both sides and thought it was top mount but it was just the shocks that were goosed!

this guy made me buy the thinkcar straight away
Haha brill stuff. Genuinely impressed with the product, I hope it’s as useful for you as it is for me! 😁
Fitting the godspeed rear discs and yellow stuff pads next week. Can't wait!
Nice! You’ll love them😁👍🏼

Yeah, warranty is always a sketchy one. My best advice is if you’re worried wait until the warranty is up and then go ham!
Regarding the knocking noise, could be top mounts on the way out

@tobyparbery4286 My thought exactly. Probably will start with the links and move from there. 😁
Mine is doing the same thing and a mate's GTI was the same. He had top mounts done and this sorted it - seems to be common.
There's very little to go wrong on the top mounts. I'd be surprised if it's those.

Thanks dude, yeah they’re bent too 😟

@matto0204 I don’t think my issue is with the shocks as it’s not all the time, only when turning right slightly lol 😂
@@xiolage The lower engine mount is an awful design. I think mine is knackered. I'd like to polybush it, but i can't find a poly one for sale
Yeah I feel like OEM is no where near stiff enough. I feel the engine roll a lot when coming off power. Let me know if you find a better option 🤘🏼
