Glad you're recovering, I'm hoping all is well! I recently purchased a 4400 and would like to put a loader on it but there is only one size that 'fits' it (735). Thanks for some great ideas!

That's probably the best tractor ever made. Just a friendly suggestion; get yourself a copy of the operators manual and read it front to back 😉

Nice method of loosening that drain plug 😂 you need a good set of larger wrenches the leverage will be much better than that little adjustable and it won't chew up the plug. Great video!

This inspired me to jump on Steiner and order an adapter kit!..lol Well done. What oil to use is a hard one to sort out. I've searched the forums and no one gives the same answer. Scroll through a thread far enough and an argument always breaks out and everyone leaves pissed off. -- "I've wurked on tractors thirty years n' we always used bacon grease, you sumbitch..don't tell me!"

@@jeffreygleaves2931 I prefer a 10w30 conventional rotella. For your older flat tappet engines.I've used 15w30
15w40 10w40. If it is newly rebuilt I use a full synthetic.
They are all going to do a good job as long as you check your oil and change your oil.
Pretty much whatever your heart desires.

U guys are putting 10w30 in there? Are they build for that sort of oil? The old Steyr (Steyr 180,180a etc.) from austria have a big problem with that kind of oil, they will leak everywhere we use sae20 in winter and sae30 in summer.

What kind of fluid use for the rear diff?

Equipment maintenance is crucial on the homestead. After you charge the battery, it appears the front tire might require some attention. The Ford 3000 is a classic. Best wishes.

+D Ballard yes, both front ties need some love. It seems like every February I start preparing for the spring doing the same thing... maintenance and tire patching lol. I love the Ford 3000 it's a durable tractor

Don't feel bad. Most semi truck engines hold 10-11 gallons of engine oil.

The best thing you can do is replace the cannister filter with an adapter plate for a spin on filter. Do not waste your time with a cannister filter. It will always leak.
