This was a good game, especially for Aminatou. That flickering Skyclave Apparition was bonkers. I was getting frustrated watching it, so I can only imagine how frustrating it was in person. Hope you feel better soon. There's a lot of really nasty bugs going around here in Ontario.
People saying the flicker deck was oppressive whilst not having a single board wipe or piece of artifact removal “Play whatever you want” “No not like that”
For token makers for Otrimi, I've long been a fan of Awakening Zone and From Beyond in almost any deck. Bitterblossom, Black Market Connections, Ophiomancer, and Ogre Slumlord are just typical B EDH staples. Arasta of the Endless Web, Keeper of the Beasts, Pestilent Cauldron, Snake Pit, Call the Bloodline, Chitterspitter, Necrogenesis, Scuttletide, Words of Wilding. (I tried to avoid anything requiring external triggers, or that cost too much mana so you can make a token and mutate onto it that turn)
Yea, the threat assessment was way off on that. Elesh easily should've been targeted. Shes a walking torpor orb and Panharmonicon combo, she needed to be stopped.
@@Devilish420whatever way you spin this he still got to tutor for his combo pieces with wishclaw and a counter spell. Not much more probably could have been done.
@@BangThatGong True. That wishclaw should've been dealt with long ago, then again maybe no one had a way to deal with it and even of they did, the counterspell was waiting.
Flicker is fun but when I first made my Brago deck is was super oppressive. Exiling or bouncing multiple creatures while also making people skip combats while I chipped away at them made the deck very unpopular lol. I ended up removing a lot of those cards and replacing them with dungeon/initiative cards. It's not nearly as powerful (Was still able to go toe to toe with an Ur-Dragon deck while ultimately losing) but it's much more fun trying to drain people with the undercity.
@BangThatGong then why make the deal if you're just lying? If he hadn't have made the deal I'd 100% agree with you. I play Aminatou and expect the hate to come at the deck. It's one of the few decks that I don't use politics with as no one is going to let it live. Zo-Zu is the other deck lol.
@@newtpondskipperthey probably did or said something that warranted the attack. You can’t really complain when you’re playing a stronger deck than everyone else 😂
So every deck should just be combat decks? Everyone runs tutors it's how to get consistency in a deck, there's so many ways to win in commander just gotta run interaction to not get combo'd out
After watching that aminatou action, it made me realize that I really need to put hostage taker back in the deck. Hell, I may even make a second Aminatou deck with all the leftover stuff I didnt put in the 1st one 🤣
I mean for a flicker deck to have a way to close out is still needed but not with so many tutors and on top with a very effective infinite combo... That was just dirty.
It was turn 9 and no one played a single removal spell. If I was the Aminatou player I'd think the other players were lame. Very basic blink synergies win games. Games have to end lol.
I dont think otrimi underperformed, its more like aminatou stomped that game
Shouldn't the Apparition not have been able to take the Heron Toski stack because the Heron was on top and 5 MV?
It was the Hostage Taker, not the Apparition that exiled the Heron stack
@@escapegoat8704 oh. I just rewatched and you're right, that's what the vo said, but he picks up and puts the Heron stack under the Apparition

Bruh, how does 2 black decks not have any removal
They are all black and blue!

As much of a good card Black Marker Connections is, the changelings you make from it cannot be mutated on them, because changlings are Humans.
@@boingy2828 Ah, right, forgot the tokens had changeling. For some reason I just always thought they were generic Rogue tokens.
Blink supremacy

What's the decklist for aminatou?
does elesh norn shoot down the etb on sagas? 8:50?
Nope! Sagas getting their lore counters are a game function, not an ETB (see "as this saga enters the battlefield")
How many times did people playing into the skyclave expecting him not to flicker it and hit their stuff lol
Love that Aminatou deck, I use a Superfriends version but don't get to use it too often as it's very high end.
He was playing with his food he had that combo essentially all game.
6:11 rhys made a deal to not attack Chris but does so anyway
They deserved all attacks and more this game, wouldn’t feel bad swinging at them every turn. And the end of the game clearly shows why.

Gg 🔥
Would be awasome if you share the build of Aminatou. Trying to build one
Not a fan of tutors and combos in the same deck
Yeah that was anti climatic.
Man I mean they did what they aminatou does
Tutors are number two worst aspects of commander. Fast mana is number one. Both create an arms race and homogenous gameplay.
@@grimbournewhat is considered fast mana? Like turn one mana crypt sol ring and arcane signet?

Still waiting for the decklist for the asharn vs Tom Bombadil vs Samut vs Halana & Alena video! ^^

Man, I fucking hate Aminatou decks, it's always the same exile flicker bs.
Git gud
that's why i always ask if the pod is infinite, might as well play turn3 combo wins and get it out of the way.
Flickering can be fun to play, tutoring for an infinite combo though against these 3 other decks was kinda lame.

That looked like a very unfun game. Aminatou was oppressive and got a bunch of tutors AND combo'd off the tutors? Lame.

Nobody besides the aminatou player interested they got what they deserved
People when a mtg deck works and wins: 😡
Annoying background music. besides that, super content!
First
So spark double copies aminatou? Then one of them should be sacrificed due to the legend rule. it's not an infinite......
spark double copies a creature or planeswalker. if it’s legendary, spark double will not be legendary, bypassing the legend rule
