They where blind to that enchantment
Oh, another important thing: because Harry was taken out of the game, Ben would not be controlled by anyone during his regular turn, but he was still supposed to get the extra turn from Emrakul's trigger.
Beating on Harry turn after turn while Ben draws 12+ cards a turn and has access to stupid amounts of mana....makes perfect sense.
Problably
Middstah mentioned at the end this is part of a league. No doubt that was impacting their choices.
One of the problems with “playing in a league”. You get people playing for second place and not actually trying to win.
I love how no one forgot a Rhystic Study trigger, but everyone forgot the Obedience triggers. MTG priorites. .
True.
Is it just me, or was threat assessment a bit off? It felt like, in the end everyone was killing the weakest player, instead of focusing the guy with 3 enchantresses, who draws 9+ cards every turn...
Yup, and hitting players instead of the PW they control. Usually not good threat assessment.
In my playgroup my aminatou deck always gets focused even if it doesnt look scary because its the only combo deck and if you are a non blue deck, you want that out of the game asap. I dont know about these decks tho
Both other blue decks showed counters, but used them in a... weird way.
Reminds me of Commander Clash... they often seem to gang up on weak links...
But Muddstah said this was part of a league, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
Welcome to 90% of my games lmao. I swear the guys about to go out of contol are always ignored in favor of taking out the "weakest link" so the same players win 80% of the time.
B R U D I C L A D
Yes please, that's what I'm talking about !
10:00 Did Ben forget to mill seven cards with Estrid's ultimate?
yeah he messed up with that ultimate hard
The mill 7 is so relevant
Tell me about it... that was even worse than forgetting to remind the opponents that their stuff must enter the battlefield tapped. :/
Just now watched this video and i almost screamed at my TV watching him fuck up that ultimate
Just left my family at the table so I could watch this real quick, because the real spirit of Thanksgiving is... generic goblin noises :D
When Harry got knocked out by Sean by immediate thoughts were “YOU MUST NOW DIE FOR YOUR CRIMES!” (I root for Harry every time he plays. I’m a fellow combo player.)
So I believe, Emrakul the Promised End should still give Ben an extra turn despite no one controlling his other turn.
That's correct.
Windgrace does work! And the league wasn’t that complicated, we started with decks out of the box and changed up to 5 cards after each game we played lol.
Sean Breitenbach I was gonna ask why anyone was playing the Loyal cards but I guess that’s why. Cool. 👌
The Locust God the Unicorn is really strong in wide lists. The drake is also solid. The rhino is overcosted, the zombie is too small, and the engineer is too inconsequential
Ohhh. That makes a lot of sense. Was wondering why some of the decks were built the way they were. That also sounds like a ton of fun. I'll try to convince my LGS to do that next time.
@@tgseamus I hadn't thought about putting the Archfiend in my Windgrace deck. I have him in my Hapatra, but Windgrace does have a lot of discard going on, perhaps enough to justify the Archfiend being there by himself!
I ended up putting the Engineer in my Brudiclad deck, getting a trigger every turn for no cost seemed worth it.
I'll be putting the Guardian in my Goreclaw deck, but that deck deals with what you gave as its flaw :P
The MTGMuddstah playmat is just a bit bigger in size, next to these other perfectly sized playmats.
IT TRIGGERS ME!
I CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT IT!!
A game on thanksgiving? What perfect timing!
Oh, of course I remember the Brudiclad Precon. The commander wasn't totally saheeli.
Jokes aside, good work on the upgrades.
Harry always brings some really interesting decks with weird shenanigans to the table.
On turn 13 Harry played 2 lands for turn instead of just one
Brudiclad, my favorite commander ever!!!!
YYAAASSS
YESS
HERE COMES BRUDICLADS LADS
Here's the thing; I get that people make misplays all the time, especially in EDH. But misplaying off of a planeswalker ult, that's rough. That vinecrasher misread also made me feel like that card is much better than it actually is.
My boy Brudiclad didn't get to truly show off ;-;
Brudiclad is a lovely commander but he is overcosted and so even just one counterspell or removal drastically reduces how long he can stick on the battlefield
They should have given him lower stats and lowered his mana coat by one or two. As he is now I can't menage to build a decent deck focused around him. You just can't build around a 6-drop liability and hope to get away with the game :(
The way I play it is I get on the battlefield the most treasures token I can produce get a creature create a token thats a copy of it then get brudiclad. Don't get brudiclad out for nothing.
Its all about being patient, getting some token to chump block and get the table ready for one big turn, when people around the table are not ready for it.
Sorry to be that guy but its bother me too much. Djinn is pronounced Jin, the D is silent.
Good to know! I'll try and keep that in mind moving forward.
Sometimes in my playgroup people are just talking and not paying attention to the game. I try to remind them to pay attention, but if they don't respond i just play my turn. After i finished my turn they wonder what happened and i just sit there happy to had my sneaky turn. :3
i dont know how you managed to fix it but there is no white noise at all!
this is amazing! its so clear.
I don't think this has been answered, but if we use the Black Friday code, will we be in the running for the ultimate masters box?
Also, like your videos, especially the video length and the game analysis afterwards
Game two of proper goblin noise, thank you. Have a great thanksgiving.
That estrid runs quite similar to mine. Shame no deck list as I'd have loved to compare it. Thanks putting these up
Windgrace in my experience can recover so quickly from interaction it's very resilient
Does the MTGMUDDSTAH BF code also enter you in to the Ultimate Masters Giveaway?
Finally I've been doing to see someone play upped precons
13:55 bring an animated dice of shame to keep the count
Blind Obedience (BO) and Authority of the Consuls (AotC) aren’t triggers, so it’s not the responsibility of the controller. Well not completely. Actually the effects are state-based actions (704.1) and are the equal responsibility of all players. A triggered ability (603.1) conversely is completely the responsibility of its controller, for example the extort trigger on BO or the gain life trigger on AotC.
what is the commander case that harry is using?
"sean, you've created a time paradox! You can't change the future like that!"btw, Nice sinergy with archfiend and windgrace
addam barcelos I’m a fan of paradoxes. Also pairs of ducks.
I doubt Harry would have gotten to control Ben's next turn after he was already out of the game, but it would have been fun to let him take the turn anyways. What about the extra turn from the Emrakul trigger, though?
Brudiclad is a very interesting commander... I'm torn between him and The Locust God as the commander for the Izzet deck I intend to build.
I'm more inclined towards Brudiclad, because the god paints a target on my chest just by being shown as the commander. :P
Also, it requires me to focus too much on instants and sorceries for card drawing, and I like permanent cards more...
what is the object that harry used for life counter?
The Aminatou deck user could've tapped his Sensei's Divining Top in response to his own Akroma's Vengeance to save it. Lol that was a waste
Not surprised everyone forgot Obedience given that Ben had it hidden under four other cards.
Yes finally someone playing burdiclad. I love him so much my new favorite commander. I took sai out and moved away from artifacts more towards tokens that are not creature so they die to wrath of god less often. So a lot of treasures and gold and stuff to make copies of sol ring. I hit my goal for that deck i got to swing with 17 ETALIs. Every one was tapped and then scooped because they did not want to give me the top 17 cards off their libraries which is fair cuz that sound like a headache.
Uh... how did you keep 17 Etali on the field at the same time? Mirror Gallery?
EDIT: Nvm, probably a Helm token copied by Brudiclad. My bad.
Can someone tell me where I might find Ben or Tal's mats ?
I have an Oloro deck that is literally triggers upon triggers, so I always make sure to remind people and look at my board on upkeep
Shouldn't Ben have had an extra turn from Emrakul?
is there a possibility to see the windgrace list?
Oh yesss! Brudiclad AND Windgrace!? Thank you!
That Savage Twister was Dirty. I love it.
Would I be eligible for the contest if I use the Black Friday coupon code?
When Ben used Estrid's ultimate, he should have milled 7 cards before returning his enchantments to play.
Anyone know where Harry's life counter came from?
Was about to get up and head out to run my cube but... then I saw this, and the fact that Brudiclad was involved.
Shouldn't the thopters from sai have been unable to attack from summonsick?
Brudiclad gives tokens haste.
@@Strakneus ahh yes ha ha im oblivious thank you!
@@180molotov such things are easy to miss. Frankly I don't catch half of the triggers until I'm reading the comments and think back xD. There is so much going on in a gamr of commander. I once forgot that my Hall of the Banditlord cost 3 life to activate and doesn't have another way to make mana. So I ended up using it as a normal land for the rest of the game... it wasn't until I sorted my lands afterwards that I noticed.
any lists by now?
Just had a match yesterday against Estrid... Good Lord!!! That synergy and carddraw if left unchecked can't do anything else but wreck you!! So, folks: try to contain her as much as you can, otherwise it'll be over for you!!!
This is why you don't allow planeswalkers to ult if possible.
You also don't mess up an ult that badly... Ben actually forgot to mill seven cards before bringing his enchantments back.
Out of the commander decks im 2018, which commander would you think is the best?
Estrid
out of the box : Estrid. The best commander : I'd say lord windgrace, just so you can have the 3 best colors for a land deck. Otherwise, Yuriko Really does the job done, but is also really dependant on making your board ninjas and unblockable. almost feels like a edric 2.0, almost better (I do say Almost, not sure which is best nowadays tbh).
I'd say it depends on style. I like the dragon and cat decks from previous but I guess it all depends.
I think with the Emrakrul thing Harry wouldn’t control Ben’s next turn, but Ben would take the extra turn.
the guy with blind obidience and autorithy of the consuls must have to pay attention and make everyone else to remember his effects, its my curse to use both cards jajaj
daaamn the music in these videos...best edh serries just for that....
Sean... Ben is clearly the biggest threat and harry was about to take a turn for him and potentially set him back. Killing harry was a terrible decision
my exact same though, but maybe it was due to ti being a league and there are points for eliminating a player or beacuse of standings etc...which in turn makes it silly
8:05 the token does not have haste :)
Yes, it does. Helm of the Host gives haste to the tokens it creates.
@@DarkEinherjar Damn.. thought it only gets it when it is Legendary
Nice game! Estrid is definitely one of the most powerful commanders printed in a pre-con deck in recent years!
Jinn the d is silent ;)
Sean got a Khalni Garden in play after Akroma's Vengeance, but didn't give himself a plant token
As soon nas i get my work break this pops up
JINN!!! THE D IS SILENT!!
Aww, why not have Saheeli for the complete C18 walker roster?
I asked myself the same when I first saw Brudiclad, but then I realized I was looking forward to seeing Brudiclad in action more.
1:43
Maybe everyone was ignoring the blind obedience because Estrid doesn't have black, so shouldn't be allowed it in the deck.
The black symbol in Blind Obedience is reminder text. For color identity in EDH, reminder text does not count towards what colors a card can be in. It's why you can run Crypt Ghast in mono black.
@@MTGMuddstah oh wow, I didn't know reminder text didn't count towards CI, I thought it was any symbol on the card. Time to rethink some decks!
PLANESWALKER MANAGEMENT BATTLE, GO... oh, wait, Saheeli is on the back seat, never mind.
Almost any many missed triggers as Muddstah using Rhystic Studies.
Almost.
Except they weren't triggers, so technically none were missed. :P
Harry, you could've saved your Top from your own Akroma's Vengeance by using its draw effect... :(
He thought about it. I think he felt bad for using it so often and slowing down the game.
Man all the Windgrace decks you have featured are doing it wrong. I wanna come down there sometime and show you what Windgrace can really do! Lmao
mfw when muddstah isnt the one in need of the dice of shame
I thought Blind Obedience had black in its color identity
Nope it has extort which has it in it's info text so it does not affect colour identity
@@nicnackscorner1031 Thanks
I think the extreme amount of board wipes in this game is to make up for the last game were there was none lol
Says the guy who puts a dice of shame on his rhystic study lol
That Brudiclad wasn't allowed to do many fun things...I guess any sane person wouldn't allow him to go off...
What? You dont want 7 28/28 tramplers to be on the board out of nowhere?
No...I want 23 10/10 Eldrazi molded out of Clues! Brudiclad is my Izzet-Commander too, so of course I want to see crazy board states.
Someone does something......wipe, someone does another thing... Wipe, and then WIPE
That was a messed ultimate...
ypur voice is relaxing
Whoever disliked this was going to have a bad Thanksgiving
Game Knights who???? We don’t know her
how can you miss so much triggers seriously it hurts to see it. Or maybe ppl cheat .
eesh that game looked grueling. Planeswalker commanders = unnecessarily long games.
frontier siege can give you mana on both come on man.
You're not wrong. I just don't know what the issue is?
"The djinn" haha north americans are funny xD
Am north American, can confirm this is not mispronounced in my area. I kept going "the d is silent aaaaah"
Hate players like tal that kill a player that's not a threat instead of giving harry another chance at ben
Flip side is so overpriced though
damnit tal why do you have to be the odd one out? you messed up the planeswalker theme of the game! rude dude!
😂 everyone focused the weakest link and just stood there and waited to die by Ben. Lol if you’re gonna play like that then just scoop. Why is you’re priority taking out a guy named Harry instead of winning the game if you’re not playing to win then just don’t play. And people wonder why others scoop at instant speed because people get chapped up when you got a group of people dead on board but still ganging up in the wrong direction. The second he brought back all enchantments and then played archetype and had everyone dead on board Ben should’ve been focused
Rule #1 when playing with Harry is to eliminate him first. You give him any breathing room and he steals games.
So many triggers missed. They matter lol #triggered
These guys wouldnt last 5 rounds in my meta. And Harry needs a Notion Theif. Just my cynical opinion.
I hate point systems
Second
First
Third!!
