Lamanorddd, Reach a state of equanimity where nothing disturbs you. For a relaxed life without anxiety sit on a chair, back and spine as erect as possible, hands on your lap with palms upwards, close your eyes and do nothing. Be still without moving and observe your incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-20 minutes. Be as still as possible. Plenty of thoughts will come but slowly negative thoughts will reduce. The mind is reprogrammed to reach equanimity. Do twice daily as per your convenience. Practice not over-reacting to any situation in real life and focus on your breathing at times during your normal daily activity. Enjoy the above meditation without expectations and your life will transform. Make it a daily habit. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

A proven way to reduce anxiety is to eat only whole foods AND keep insulin under control. So,
      DON'T eat:
      - anything out of a box, no frozen dinners, etc.
      - refined grains (like cereal, bread, pasta, etc) because this converts in your body to "sugar". That's oversimplified, but too much to explain here)
      - sugar, honey, agave, or other sweeteners. If you feel you "need" them, you will want to slowly reduce and eliminate them for a period of time, until your anxiety lessens,. No cookies, cakes, pies, doughnuts, etc.
      DO eat:
      - protein (if you eat animals, then meat, fish, poultry, etc; if you don't eat meat, you can do that, but I don't know how)
      - whole vegetables
      - a small amount of fruit (like, 1 cup berries or one apple, half an orange, etc)
      - lots of water and mineral water (no sodas, energy drinks, etc)
      - healthy fats, such as coconut oil, organic butter, olive oil, ghee, etc.
Check out Jason Fung, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Stenberg and others on RUclips. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

      @fromnothing5818 3 года назад +3

Positive thoughts are only at the conscious level, but depression emanates from the subconscious, so simply doing gratitude exercises or positive thinking won’t change that. Instead of trying to escape from depression and those thoughts, have you ever tried just observing them and seeing where it goes, what happens? One can do an amazing amount of internal exploration by just allowing the flow to take place. It’s like following a stream into a dark mountain cave. Let it carry you, and just observe. I know it’s hard, because depression itself is the will to not be like this. But if we can let go of will, and try to learn, observe, then we might notice a change coming.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life . I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body . A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken . One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot . It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine , this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip : Everything is alright . The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me ( although it's not gone ) . Before all I could do was lay in bed . Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before . "

Great video, all really helpful points. One point I’d add is that no.6 - surround yourself with good people and don’t isolate yourself - can be a double edged sword. Oftentimes loneliness is a big part of depression. The inability to relate and connect naturally with other people can make human interactions - even with really good, nice people - some of the worst times for a depressed person. In many ways, depression itself is a problem of our relationship to the human world. We don’t get depressed by pets, trees, or the clouds in the sky. I also believe that in the end, looking inside oneself and coming to deeper self understanding is the only way to truly bring depression to an end. I actually believe depression is just like the pain of physical trauma, it indicates something is wrong. When we cut ourselves and it hurts, we don’t ask ‘why me?’, we just accept that physical trauma causes nerve pain. But i don’t we accept that depression is a kind of pain caused by psychological trauma. Without understanding the basis of that trauma, we cannot avoid further trauma nor aid the natural healing that is always available.

Surround with good people ? Who are good people? How to judge people. Why would they be around you when you feel so negative that they feel its harming them ? What if they don't understand your problem and are distancing themselves with you ? How to be good to them while you are struggling to deal with yourself ? How ? Are these things too easy to do and I am unable to do that ? To make yourself mentally strong, the solution is that you will have to be mentally strong ? I respect all that you told. And i am improving my diet, exercising and sleeping more I guess. But i still feel that people dont want to be around me.
I feel negative so often that i feel ashamed . Its been so long they dont want to listen to my problem which they consider too small to be thinking about. Even I feel they are too small , but i cannot not overthink, i just cannot divert my mind. I just feel i should sleep all the time and not be a part of thinking.

Depression is beating yourself up because you are tired. And it's also connected to the past.
Anxiety is a rush of energy used to run from a dangerous situation. And it's connected to the imagination of the future.
Just get some rest and feel your body everytime you have an unpleasant sensation. Never neglect your emotions. Everything most be felt and flow naturally.
Everytime you feel insecure about yourself,
Get back to the present moment, return to your 5 senses and focus your mind in to the task at hand.
Reaffirm every action you take in this present moment untill you start to rewrite your old programs that made you feel out of sync with who you really are.
You can only be fully secure in this moment now.
You are the space of awareness behind the thinking mind.

I hope this generosity isn’t taken for granted, as I suspect this channel will soon “blow up” , as they say, and commenting on everything will be impossible - so I do hope people only ask questions when they are truly desperate, so that perhaps you’ll still be able to check in and offer some perspective when/if needed. 2021 was the hardest, darkest time of my life. I was physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually BROKEN. But now I feel genuinely GRATEFUL and BLESSED that I had to go through that phase because GOD has graciously REVEALED Himself to me in miraculous ways. I am fortunate that He allowed me to know Him at a very young age, but this year is SPECIAL because of what WE (yes, GOD and me) have been through last year. He showed me how POWERFUL prayers truly are when I started to focus on WHO HE IS rather than who I am, on WHAT HE CAN DO rather than what I deserve. The experience was MAGICAL. He showed up BIG TIME and assured me that HE is indeed a LISTENING and RESPONDING GOD. Oh how my faith has skyrocketed as a result! Now more than ever, I have very bright HOPE for my future because I personally experienced how RELIABLE God is. And for that I will forever be grateful. GLORY BE TO GOD, MY EVER FAITHFUL FATHER. ♥️♥️♥️
To everyone who's struggling right now, please know that GOD LOVES YOU. He wants to help you and give you peace. Please surrender your burdens to Him and allow Him to move in your life.
"Because he loves Me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." (Psalm 91:14-15)

We obey him .Matthew Luke and John explain the gospel of Jesus to us and how we repent, be baptized, and ask for the Holyghost. He has promised to hear and recieve all who obey him from the heart .Don't follow people who don't obey the scripture ( but say they do) because they'll mislead and discourage you.Take care!

Maine, Reach a state of equanimity where nothing disturbs you.

We feel peaceful while walking through a garden full of flowers.
Bees love flowers and produce honey that is very healing for us.
If watching the flowers gives us peace, the tea of the flowers can give us peace.
Flowers can be excellent resources for the treatment of depression.
Bees' source of honey should be our source.
Just like the creatures that drink water from the same fountain.
    Bees need flowers.
    Life cannot exist without bees.
Flowers are the life source of bees.
Flowers can be our source of life.
Just as honey is a source of life for our health.

I’ve been going through depression since I was 9 and I’ve never told anyone because I don’t have anyone to trust because my parents sometimes abuse me and my siblings hate me and always hit me as well I’ve wanted to commit suicide multiple times but I never did because a couple years ago I had my cousin who used to always tell me she loves and that was the only person I loved and she was the only person i talked but then I relized the bad advice she used to give me and figured that she was actually toxic I never gas anyone to talk to and sometimes when I’ll breakdown and my parents see me crying they just tell me I’m not a baby and then hit then say what’s wrong and before I even talk or even if I tried to talk they’ll just say I’m talking back and then hit me again and say I should be grateful
And on top of all that I HAVE SOOOO MUCH SCHOOL SO IM STRESSED AND I HAVE TO DO ALL MY SIBLINGS HOMEWORKS SO I NEVER EVER HAVE TIME TO RELAX OR EVEN FINISH MY OWN WORK FOR SCHOOL AND WHEN I DONT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO FINISH MY WORK I GET IN TROUBLE AND MY PARENTS GET MAD AT ME

Sounds like me as well. It's hard to let your hair down in an abusive household. Here's some things I do:
      1.) Yoga
2.) Going to sleep and waking up around the same time each day
3.) Listening to music and dancing in my room
4.) Talking to other people online or texting a funny picture to my friends
      5.) I draw or paint
6.) Journal. It really helps to put your feelings on paper
Don't let things pile up on you. Sort your feelings and emotions out, and work on self care so you don't lose yourself. Please, you can do this ❤

@@Mx.Pickle I actually do these things except for yoga and I used to write on my journal but I stopped because I’m piled with homework and tests to study for so I’m always stressed and my hair is even falling and I have a bald spot

I've got MDD and sadly, I have tried these things before. They worked, temporarily. Technically they never stopped working, I did. After I had gotten into a relationship, I just let the whole routine slide.
That relationship ended over a year ago. I still haven't been able to restart that routine. It's far worse than it has ever been with constant memories and regrets, with very strong suicidal thoughts.
The only reason it's just the thoughts is because I've tried to end my life before, many times. I don't think I'm physically capable of it, not from a lack of trying either. Something out there wants me alive and I don't know why.
Anyway, it's at a point that things HAVE to change. Suicide isn't an option, as much as I wish it could be. I'm getting too tired of always feeling like this, or at least for the majority of the time.
But for the life of me, I just can't break free from this lethargic state I've been in. Everything just feels so dang pointless and I, myself, well... worthless would be too positive of a word to describe me.
I don't even know why I'm even typing this, honestly.

Maybe you should have a Doctor in Integrative Medicine take a deeper look at your diet ? Undiagnosed food intolerances may be triggering your problem.

Been depressed for 3-4 or 5 years and I’m only 17. Decided to wake up early and have a run on the seafront. I’m a morning person but am too tired in the morning to open my eyes and get up which just makes me more depressed when I wake up at 10-12 in the morning. Sometimes later.

Wish I had a Doctor! We need more doctors! I'm taking Omega-3 epa supplements, and vitamin D, 2000 UI/day, and trying to get out for more walks, and soak up some sun. I take vitamin C too, until fresh fruit comes into season. I do need to keep at the cooking of veg though, I eat more plain pasta than I should, cuz I crave salt and it's easy.
