This one "Mini" Direct having 1 minute of Sonic Frontiers footage did more to help the game's marketing than literally everything else that was shown this month combined. I guess Sega wanted to have the best trailer for Nintendo and not IGN. Also I gotta say, the game looks _surprisingly good_ on Switch. This is the cool thing about this directs, you get to find out if there are any impossible or miracle ports coming out on the platform. I had been longing for Nier Automata on switch for a very long time.
I would LOVE to see you get into MH. Starting with the newer games is recommended since the pacing is better than the first couple generations. Rise is a great place to start, but World is also good for that.
I'm looking forward to the Persona 5: Royal playthrough, even if it will take forever to complete. At least the port of P4 and P5 will likely take quite a while longer to release, so the pressure to play them won't be immediate. And plenty of people that played P5 first have enjoyed working through the series in reverse order.
Persona (especially golden and p3 portable, which were only ever available on PSP and ps Vita respectfully), Nier, Portal, MegaMan Battle Network collection.. Even some of the new games. I was honestly blown away a bit. Obviously elephant in the room was no pokemon or Zelda, but this was a "mini". Hopefully saving those big guns for the full direct. But I had low expectations and it shocked me.
I am HYPED for Persona 5R and the Battle Network Legacy Collection. If you've not gotten into Battle Network, I HIGHLY recommend getting this collection and giving it a try. It is fun.
I wonder if Deebeegeek would be intrested in playing bowsers inside story? ive heard its good. Also hyped for the sonic game. Edit: also wondering if you would do a legend of spyro playthrough? or a reignited play through?
Disney streamlight valley is just an online disney amusement park lol. They knew they messed up with the real parks lately. I am soo looking forward to the new sonic game. It looks so cool.
OMG DEEBEEGEEK PLEASE play "Curse of Monkey Island" as a lead up to the new game coming out. It's my absolute favorite in the franchise, and it's on steam. The voice work and the humor is terrific, and it's not a matter of will you win or lose, just a matter of how long it takes to figure out what you need to do, so please play "mega monkey" difficulty for the full experience.
When the Mini Direct generates more hype than the regular Direct. Genuinely surprised they didn't make Cloud versions of the Persona trilogy or Automata. Makes you really go HMMMMMM at the Kingdom Hearts excuse.
I'm gonna say it's a time/money/interest concern. That collection is like 6 games, all of which aren't exactly small. Everything except KH3 could be made directly for Switch no problem, but they want everybody on board story wise so it was all relevant titles or none of them.
Jesus Christ like thsi partner showcase easily the best one yet and it was great easily an 8-9/10. The Dlc of Monster Hunter Rise, Nier (FINALLY), Superbomberman R 2, Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection, Pacman World remake (one of my favorite games from my childhood from PS1), that trailer of Sonic Frontiers which made me hype for the game, and finally confirmed the Persona games for the switch. Dang Nintendo had me on the first half with the announcement of Partner Showcase not gonna lie then pull an UNO reverse card and said "you were saying ?"
Nier Automata was my favourite announcement just from seeing 2P finally as a skin in game, and I'm a monster hunter fan who's already 100's of hours into Rise. I do find it weird that the 2P skin is hinted to be Nintendo exclusive, when she's only really in Soul Calibur 6 and FF14, neither of which are on Switch
There is people who hated this direct because they were expecting fist parties and huge triple a games.... On a partner direct about third parties... Well you can say Mario+rabbits is a half first party, i think it's more Ubisoft's than Nintendo's though

I would LOVE to see you get into MH. Starting with the newer games is recommended since the pacing is better than the first couple generations. Rise is a great place to start, but World is also good for that.
i remember playing and watching the anime of Megaman Battle Networks
I'm looking forward to the Persona 5: Royal playthrough, even if it will take forever to complete.
At least the port of P4 and P5 will likely take quite a while longer to release, so the pressure to play them won't be immediate. And plenty of people that played P5 first have enjoyed working through the series in reverse order.
Just throwing it out there that Mario + Rabbids was extremely good. I know a lot of people would watch a playthrough of that if you ever have time.
That game had absolutely no right to be as good as it was, as someone that loves the X-Com series, that game was so right up my alley.
It is fun.
We hunters await, Dee
the thumbnail 🤣ok but P5 FOR SWITCH FINALLY!!!
So native Nier Automata is coming to the switch but not the ps2 Kingdom Hearts games? what is wrong with square
I heard Nomura hate Switch because he cant port FF7R on it.. probably..
Blanc is French for white. Looks like a very emotional game.
Yes. This was essentially my reaction as well.
I would love to see a monster hunter playthrough, the newer games are pretty noob friendly too.
So I'm a super noob lol
@@lucasrinaldi9909 To be honest when it come to Monster Hunter, yeah. Most older games in the franchise would destroy new world players.
@@wintersong2266 huh
I wonder if Deebeegeek would be intrested in playing bowsers inside story? ive heard its good. Also hyped for the sonic game.
Edit: also wondering if you would do a legend of spyro playthrough? or a reignited play through?
"i don't think i've ever played a mario game that's turn-based"
**vibrates inTemsely**
The GLaDOS voice wasn't text to speach. That was the actual GLaDOS voice actor. That's just how GLaDOS sounded in the first game.
You've never played a Mario games that's turn-based? I think you'd reaaally enjoy the Mario & Luigi series!!
Disney streamlight valley is just an online disney amusement park lol. They knew they messed up with the real parks lately. I am soo looking forward to the new sonic game. It looks so cool.
Nintendo: *casually puts Sonic Frontiers in their NDMPS*
IGN, while dogsong is playing in the background: goddammit
The Persona was PERFECTEEEEEEE WOWOOOOOOO
I freaking LOVE NieR Automata and NieR Replicant SO MUCH.
I honestly thought I was the only one who enjoyed this showcase from beginning to end. After watching this video, it is clear I was mistaken.
I believe the GLaDOS voice actually wasn’t text to speech and they got the actual voice actress to do it for the trailer
BATTLE NETWORK COLLECTION WAS ALL I EVER WANTED
You should play Monkey Island. It's one oft the greatest Adventure Games of all time, it is to adventure games what portal is to puzzle games.
Yo, P5R is my favourite game of all time and now I can take it on the go?!?!?
hmm “No stream” “Tap to retry” it seems youtube is being youtube
Blanc looks super interesting! Nothing else that I want tho haha
Dee I think you should give Dragon Quest a chance if you haven’t, it’s one of my favourites and I think you’d really enjoy it, especially DQ11.
Thumbnail is class. 👌👌👌
I've been wanting a switch and now I got more reasons to get it
And now the wait for Persona playthroughs begins.
I swear I heard Sam Reigel during that Persona 4 and 5 announcement... lol
Yes yes yes i knew it would happen eventually! Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection was al that was missing!
Is Robbie Daymond the narrator in the MH dlc trailer? Sounds like I had Hubert in my ear.
There is people who hated this direct because they were expecting fist parties and huge triple a games.... On a partner direct about third parties... Well you can say Mario+rabbits is a half first party, i think it's more Ubisoft's than Nintendo's though
I'm pretty sure Mario + Rabbids is developed and published by Ubisoft so the only first party thing about it is that it has Mario characters.
