Thank you so much for sharing. I always really appreciate your somewhat unique experience as far as RUclips video's go. 💜

Omg, I feel exactly the same about hair! It's one of the biggest reasons I hesitate about starting T. I also worry a bit about how it might change my singing voice, but not as much. Thanks for making videos like this

Thank you so much for sharing. And how about compared to the previous time you were on T, does coming back on T result in the same changes that you had when you were last on T or does each time you get back on it, it builds up a little more?

It builds up a bit more each time. I definitely have more hair now than I did last time I was on T, among other things.

What is the trans singers facebook group you mentioned? A quick search lead me to one titled "Trans, NB, & GNC Opera Singers," but is there one for non opera? Thanks so much for sharing your journey!

It's called Trans Vocalist Alliance. Started by classical singers but all kinds are welcome and all styles/genres discussed!

Is it safe to keep going on and off T? How does your body react to shifting back and fourth between male and female hormones? Any long term dangers doing this?

I don't think there's a lot of research on it at this point, but my feeling on it is that it's probably not a good idea to jump on and off too frequently, especially at higher doses. Whenever I start or stop I raise or lower my dose gradually so it's not such a shock to the system. But, everyone already has all these hormones - it's just a matter of ratio. Naturally, one or the other is supposed to be dominant. I think that's why super low dose didn't work well for me.

Overall - I'm a cautious person and I try to do everything in the safest and best way for me, but the only medical advice I can really give is to discuss everything with your doctor 😊

Hey :) I was wondering, do you still have to take blockers if you want to micro dose T?

    • @CelesteM

For me personally, I've never taken blockers and when I first started T at 25mg/week, I still got into the middle "male" range of T levels within a few months. But it likely depends on the person and how low your dose is!

I've been on low dose T (doing 100 mg of gel) for 4 months, do you do gel or shots? Sorry if you've mentioned this before I couldn't recall and just curious.

Oh, sorry I didn't mention that! I do IM injections.
