1:17 this is real asf. i might just be too much of a youtube old head but i was also never fond of the concept of making several channels for different things, i always thought having one main channel, sticking to it, and maybe having a backup, was the "correct" way to do things but the algorithm always wins so i understand why other ppl do it (i eventually got a secondary too) also it really does suck to see that most gamers are still so unaccepting of the lgbtqia+ community that u gotta separate it from everything. i really hope that someday things will change enough so that nobody in the gaming community has to separate a part of their identity from the things they love and can finally be accepted. keep being real and stay safe dawg ✊

It makes me sad to hear that part about the gaming community having problems with the "LGBT" community in your channel... like... why should that even be a thing? I am a "Cis male" (I think that's the correct term?) and I started following your videos when you were doing the cross dressing, and I find it cool so I followed! then continued because I also liked genshin and you as a person. I have followed your transition , and I've always thought of it as a wonderful thing! Simply because you are a humang being like the rest of us and yoi deserve to be HAPPY. Why do people need to care so much for things that doesn't affect them or anyone? specially in cases like this when it just involves someone's happiness

It's very sad that you had to separate gaming and LGBTQ stuff, but at the end of the day, whether they like it or not, gamers will have to accept that LGBTQ people are also part of the community and they also love videogames as much as they do and you being here is proof of that, please never quit gaming and never quit being yourself.

fwiw the algorithm's hostility towards queer content, and it's propensity to ragebait for engagement, is what makes gaming and queer stuff "incompatible" b/c I'm the kinda person that LOOKS for queer and trans ppl who enjoy games. You were the reason I joined discord way back then, and I met many lovely people from that community. I even felt motivated to come out after discussing LGBT+ topics with fellow members! Your channel and community was what really helped me realize a lot about myself. I may not watch your videos as often anymore, but I stay subscribed because regardless, I want to see you continue to grow and thrive. And I feel that certainly has happened! I'm here from the "School Idol Hell" going into "Gacha Hell" series. As a Love Live person from the SIF games (which SIF2 GL has a month left). Only Surviving game is Link Like Love Live (which follows the pattern of being developed by someone else and distro'd by Bushiroad). Nice to know what's going on. I'm losing 3 games in a row (SIF2 JP [which was the longest before closure of the three, a little under a year, like a week or two], Takt Op Symphony [shutting down in 2 days after being available for 6-7 months {they were the most generous with EoL handouts, the first time I've ever seen DeNA do something right}], and SIF2 Global [3 months]). Also, all the versions of Opera Omnia closed. (lol I had "Musicart Hell" and "Final Fantasy character Hell" along with "School Idol/Band Hell")
I originally followed you for your cosplay and makeup advice way back when. I'm a bit disappointed you aren't able to do both that and gaming on this channel, but I understand why you have to keep them separate, unfortunately. If anything it makes me worried for my own channel, as I wanted to do gaming stuff while wearing Lolita fashion in the future. "Stop listening to other people and do what you like." YES. This is incredibly important. If you're moving through the world based on what you think you *should* do and trying to meet the expectations of other people, how is that feeding you emotionally? In the past, I've anticipated the needs of others and put that over my own feelings, and that's lead to resentment and burnout. After a couple years of therapy, I'm finally at a place where I'm not ashamed of my likes and dislikes, and provided I'm not hurting others, I'm going to do whatever fills me with joy. It's incredibly freeing to be in this mindset. I turn 34 this year, and while I don't do it on purpose, a lot of the content I consume ends up being from people in their 30s, too. You come across as even-keeled, which I appreciate. I'm too tired for the constantly amped-up people, lol. Also, I get wanting to separate the LGBTQ+ stuff from the gaming stuff - I was in a guild with the LGBT tag, and somebody was super nasty to me after we lost a pvp match. Like yo, I haven't been playing FPS games my whole life, I just wanna shoot aliens with other lesbians, chill out lmao. Hopefully that kind of toxicity will die down in like...ten years? *wince* Also, I enjoy lurking in your Twitch streams, and would be happy to watch more Mahjong - that clip cracked me up. YES MAHJONG SOUL CONTENT PLZ I completely organically started playing that game about a week ago after a couple shots of gin made me want to learn how to play Mahjong. Now I'm addicted and have spent $60 on gacha (It's okay because I pulled Chihori and I'm happy). I've been watching you for a couple years now and I love all of your content - that being said I very much appreciate creators separating their content into different channels. In the past there was a high number of channels I unsubscribed from because I was only interested in one of many types of content they made - and that in turn led to these creators "polluting" (for a lack of better words) my subscription page. I think the separation is a step in the right direction and I'll follow you on any channel you open :)
I don't comment a lot. I'm a LGBT gamer myself. I loved how some of your videos had discussions about gender. I felt not so alone,but I understand how toxic a lot of gamers are. Also I love your Amber videos. So many people are too focused on the "strongest" character. It's a different type of content. Excited for the new content

I think your Chiaki cosplay was one of the first cosplays I saw and I thought you were so cool ever since. At a point, I came out as nonbinary around the same time you started transitioning and you have always felt like a safe space creator. While people will continue to be trolls or just downright vile, you've always made me feel seen as a person and I really appreciate it. this makes sense. i personally only watch videos that interest me, which is mostly just genshin content. its why i hardly watch variety videos from even my favorite youtubers. eg. minecraft is pretty popular and it makes sense for a genshin CC to make minecraft videos, but im not interested in the game. i just dont have fun watching it, even if i like the CC. its not something i consciously decide to do. its just not fun to me, which is okay. its like having different personalities for different friend groups. not everyone will enjoy all types of content, and thats normal. and if half of your audience is skipping half of your content, thats how you get a large subscriber count but fewer views on every video.
Looking forward to the new channel. I've grown more attracted to the cosplay and non-Genshin stuff that you do. Seriously, you kill cosplaying like no other I've seen(granted I haven't seen a lot, but anyways lol).

Honestly, im a new viewer, but seeing you have short videos that document days on HRT, and transitioning as a whole actually makes me feel very happy. I am in the US, so I often feel super worried about how I am going to get my gender affirming care, so it makes me emotional to see a fellow trans person being able to do what I am planning to do in a few years. YES. This is incredibly important. If you're moving through the world based on what you think you *should* do and trying to meet the expectations of other people, how is that feeding you emotionally? In the past, I've anticipated the needs of others and put that over my own feelings, and that's lead to resentment and burnout. After a couple years of therapy, I'm finally at a place where I'm not ashamed of my likes and dislikes, and provided I'm not hurting others, I'm going to do whatever fills me with joy. It's incredibly freeing to be in this mindset.
I turn 34 this year, and while I don't do it on purpose, a lot of the content I consume ends up being from people in their 30s, too. You come across as even-keeled, which I appreciate. I'm too tired for the constantly amped-up people, lol. Also, I get wanting to separate the LGBTQ+ stuff from the gaming stuff - I was in a guild with the LGBT tag, and somebody was super nasty to me after we lost a pvp match. Like yo, I haven't been playing FPS games my whole life, I just wanna shoot aliens with other lesbians, chill out lmao. Hopefully that kind of toxicity will die down in like...ten years? *wince*
Also, I enjoy lurking in your Twitch streams, and would be happy to watch more Mahjong - that clip cracked me up. Wishing you success in all your future endeavors, Rin!

I completely organically started playing that game about a week ago after a couple shots of gin made me want to learn how to play Mahjong. Now I'm addicted and have spent $60 on gacha (It's okay because I pulled Chihori and I'm happy). I don't follow anyone who makes content on the game yet, so if you were to post the occasional video on the game, that'd be really cool, and based, and poggers, and please do that please.

I've been watching you for a couple years now and I love all of your content - that being said I very much appreciate creators separating their content into different channels. In the past there was a high number of channels I unsubscribed from because I was only interested in one of many types of content they made - and that in turn led to these creators "polluting" (for a lack of better words) my subscription page.
I think the separation is a step in the right direction and I'll follow you on any channel you open :)
I don't comment a lot. I'm a LGBT gamer myself. I loved how some of your videos had discussions about gender. I felt not so alone,but I understand how toxic a lot of gamers are. Also I love your Amber videos. So many people are too focused on the "strongest" character. It's a different type of content. Excited for the new content

It makes me sad that YT is taking this approach to channels, but I understand that you need to do what's best for you and your content. I've been following you since before I even started cosplaying and that was probably close to 10 years ago? I think your Chiaki cosplay was one of the first cosplays I saw and I thought you were so cool ever since. Eventually, you got into Genshin and so did I, so it was cool seeing you participate in two things I love! At a point, I came out as nonbinary around the same time you started transitioning and you have always felt like a safe space creator. While people will continue to be trolls or just downright vile, you've always made me feel seen as a person and I really appreciate it. I'm here to support any and all channels you create because you try your best and I love your content.

Relating to the part in the video where you talk about Sakura-con I also want to share with you how deep in my heart I'm waiting for a SIF 2 video and I blamed my time zone so much for having missed your SIF 2 streams!
That aside, I immediately subscribed on your second channel both here on twitter, and I want to echo with everybody saying to take your time and not to let an algorhytm dictate how you should organize your content. It's still sad, in a way, I too miss the days where you could upload any kind of video without any worries.
I'm also really sad about the bad reception of the gaming content in the LGBTQIA+ community, and I really hope that thing will change for the best 💙

this makes sense. i personally only watch videos that interest me, which is mostly just genshin content. its why i hardly watch variety videos from even my favorite youtubers. eg. minecraft is pretty popular and it makes sense for a genshin CC to make minecraft videos, but im not interested in the game. i just dont have fun watching it, even if i like the CC. its not something i consciously decide to do. its just not fun to me, which is okay.
its like having different personalities for different friend groups. not everyone will enjoy all types of content, and thats normal. and if half of your audience is skipping half of your content, thats how you get a large subscriber count but fewer views on every video.
Looking forward to the new channel. I've grown more attracted to the cosplay and non-Genshin stuff that you do. Seriously, you kill cosplaying like no other I've seen(granted I haven't seen a lot, but anyways lol).

Honestly, im a new viewer, but seeing you have short videos that document days on HRT, and transitioning as a whole actually makes me feel very happy.
I am in the US, so I often feel super worried about how I am going to get my gender affirming care, so it makes me emotional to see a fellow trans person being able to do what I am planning to do in a few years.
