    does anyone have an issue where one part of your hair doesn't curl like the rest? or it does, but when it dries, it fuzzes up while the rest of your hair is curly? I have this bit in the very front that does that.

    Shampooing your actual hair strands depends on your hair porosity. For low porosity hair, like mine, shampooing the actual hair strands helps cleanse the hair of styling products so your hair can❤ absorb moisture better. 😊

    Is it just me .....but every time I comb my hair I loose my 3a-3b curl pattern and I when I put it in a bun my hair gets so stretched that it's straight/ wavy creepy much?

    • @kardashianklips7407
      @kardashianklips7407 7 лет назад +1

      Mines like 3b-3c and this always happens! Maybe because of the products i use when i slick it and how tight i tie it since it's constantly being stretched

    • @user-mi4yt1md2e

      You can't really get rid of the shrinkage without straightening since it is what makes your hair curly.

    • @yippehanako
      @yippehanako 7 лет назад +11

      Mariah Martinez when my hair is wet I apply my products and then twist (like around itself, not with a rubber band) it into a bun at the base of my head and let it dry like that until its just a little damp and then take it down and let it finish drying. You will have looser curls...like I'm a 3b and it turns into like 2c after that. it sounds like a lot but its not and your hair is soft after

    • @Whatzituya
      @Whatzituya 7 лет назад +1

      ao i have an elongation creme by design essentials which helps with the shirnkage however i dont mind shribkage if im letting it air dry. when i am doing a method like having it braided or twisted i make sure to put a generous amount in my hair.

      before doing your normal wash, detangle with oils, such as coconut, olive, almond. This helps prepare the hair for water and prevents less breakage and shrinkage. I tried it today and it was great. Its also known as pre poo. look it up for more info.

    It's great that you pointed out adding oil to your hair to keep it moisturized. I never really thought of that before. This is just my opinion but everyone hair is different I have curly hair and I wash and condition my hair it doesn't damage my hair puting all kinds of chemicals will mess up your hair for me I use 100% Shea butter and Suave Almond and Shea Butter for shampoo and conditioner my hair doesn't itch anymore since using the 100% Shea butter for dry hair the dollar store products I use to use for my hair made my hair itch the only time I blow dry and flat iron my hair is the winter everything I use thats from Shea butter has help my hair the only thing that I use it's hair spray reason for it my hair will fly all over the place lol I have to brush or comb my hair like I said before everyone hair is different

    • @SayriaJade
      @SayriaJade  8 лет назад +7

      Yeah you're completely right. A lot of curly hair products don't contain a bunch of chemicals though, that's why they're SOO expensive. Just like it's cheaper to eat Mc. Donald's than it is to buy organic. However, only speaking on myself, the reason I use products in my hair is to keep it moisturized, soft, strong, etc. My hair (like a lot of curly girls) used to be really damaged, so in order for me to get it back to a healthy state I needed extra product to help do the job & get it done quicker. Once my hair was back in a healthy state I continued using products to enhance my curls. (Make them shiny, frizz free, smell great, detangled, etc.) So for me, that's why I use products. But like you said. Everyone is different, & you're right.

      My holy grail products are Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream and Tresemme Bouncy Curls Curl Definer! The Cantu is extremely moisturizing, makes your curls uniform, and helps those stubborn curls pop. The Tresemme does exactly what the name says - it defines your curls without any crunch and leaves them super light and bouncy. It makes my curls last for days, which I've never experienced with any other product! Both are usually under $5 at your local Walmart so if you don't like them for some crazy reason, it won't hurt your wallet too much. Good luck!

      @KassandraQuiseng 7 лет назад +74

      Marianne Morillo 1.) don't scrunch your hair with shampoo! It roughens your hair.
      2.) Avoid putting conditioner or styling products in your scalp (only shampoo and oils can go on your scalp).
      3.) Seal your hair after moisturizing. After a deep conditioning use oils like coconut, castor, jojoba, etc.
      4.) Don't rush detangling. Don't detangle dry either. Use conditioner while wet from ends to root with a wide tooth comb.
      5.) Find out what works for your hair. What works for 1 person may not work for you.

    I put shampoo all over my hair because I have so much product buildup over the week I don't think just rinsing will wash it out

    • @florance333
      @florance333 8 лет назад +18

      also, this video could have been 2x shorter, too much rambling IMO

    • @mikelita95
      @mikelita95 8 лет назад +4

      Try to rinse with vinegar it will remove all the buildup super quickly

    • @gabriellereyes6606
      @gabriellereyes6606 7 лет назад +1

      florance333 for the most part, it is enough because youre also taking out natural oils and protein that your hair needs. also, curly hair is more porus...and its harder to wash all the shampoo out..leading to friz, residue, and dry hair. If you feel you need to directly apply shampoo to the body of your hair, then use a small small amount, itll go a long way!

      Put eggs and butter in ur hair that's what I do it gets rid of my dandruff and dry hair

    • @faithchristian91
      @faithchristian91 5 лет назад

      Red Nono low Porosity Hair is not good with egg! At least not often! Once a month at most and even then egg just has a lot of protein and unless you hair is crying for protein do not add egg you will get protein overload! Trust me I had a personal experience with egg

    In my experience tea tree oil lightly on my scalp and the only time conditioner touches my scalp is when I clarify my hair with conditioner. I shampoo once month because I dont use any products on my hair just good old water and lightly seal ends with extravirgin olive oil one or two braids I usually do last few days. And few twists after washing hair. Simple is always better from what I learned my hair loves it. Works for me. ☺

    Curly hair is a struggle! It took me awhile to embrace my curls but it helps to know how to tame them! My favorite leave in conditioner is Garnier "Fructis Sleek & Shine". Also Aussie "3 minute Miriacle Moist" conditioner is one of the best things I have ever discovered.

    you CAN use conditioner on your scalp (as long as it's silicone free), however I don't see the need to condition the scalp, unless you are co-washing or deep conditioning

    I do a pre-poo hot oil treatment with coconut and olive oils mixed half and half (use whatever oils work for you! I use those b/c they are the cheapest lol) divide my hair in 4 sections apply oil and detangle that way with a paddle brush. Makes it easier for me when it comes to washing in the shower and not getting a bunch of hair clogging the drain!

      When you have a really dry scalp it is ok to use conditioner but you also need something to really wash your hair and scalp so for example wash every Week or to Week your scalp with conditioner and then wash once every month your scalp with a Shampoo so your scalp is clean and has a certain "fresh start"! Hope this helps you
