Can we give a minute that the animation quality was spot on this episode. My favorite parts from this episode are shinji banki and the music that plays during this “fight with bambe and then when Hitsugaya gets his banki back and has the ice dragon in the background that was amazing

When in shikai shinji even inverted the words like dangggg that shit was trippy af for bambietta. I wish he had gotten a clear win this arc😞

The fact that Aizen could handle that sort of thing NO PROBLEM just shows you how crazy that man is.
I think this visuals showed us a lot better what it would be like to face Shinji's Shikai, and why he's usually so confident when using it.

I really like the color grading for TYBW. The manga just has the usual rashi blue, but when the holy forms come out they're color coded to match the personalities of the Stern Ritter. Babi's blood red makes a lot of sense for her, not only for her explosions but also because she's blood thirsty too. I wonder who the rest belongs to?

Shinji with the cheek clapping OSTs
One part of the added fight between Shinji and Bambietta that I think was a bad change was how they show Bambietta try to omni-nuke him with her explosions prior to using her Vollständig.
She does it first in base and it fails because Shinji just casually dodges them, but then when she does exactly the same thing in Vollständig he just... gets hit. Like, why did it work the second time but not the first? Clearly Shinji is fast and reactive enough to just dodge, he already did it once but the second time apparently just completely baffled him.
At least in the manga, he has the excuse that she probably catches him off-guard because the time that she hits him is the *first* time she omni-nukes him basically outta nowhere, but in the anime she's already tried it and he dodged it easily; so he should've been *specifically* prepared for that exact approach.
Looks like we are going to get Cang Du and BG9 volstanding, because we see light coming out of the position they were.

Didn't kubo who's heavily involved in the anime implied the anime will be his full vision for the manga because this time he wasn't being rushed by shonen jump. So if we take that into acount the anime might actually be the more canon version.

He wouldn't know about the weakness until kisuke outright tell them and if he randomly popped it on one of the soldat or even bambietta early on you have to keep in mind it only lasts like 10minutes max(I'm pretty sure for him) so that would be a waste to pop it to be able to have his bankai not stolen (especially since he doesnt even use bankai on her anyways

I dont think the black pill is that deep he was given one because everyone else was given one, also we really don't know enough about vizards to tell for sure whether they are immune from bankai stealing or not considering that their hollow powers are separate from their zanpakto.
I think mask don't hollowfy the bankai itself unlike ichigo who's shinigami powers are merged with hollow. ❤
Shinji v bambietta isnt an anime only fight it’s just a bit longer
One question : Why Shinji needed the Hollow Pill if he has Hollow Reiatsu inside of him already ? It gives his hollow a bigger boost against quincies ? So why is he not in the same category as Ichigo ? They are both Hybrid beeings in my opinion as a mixture of Hollow and Shinigami . Of course Ichigo is also a Fullbringer and a Half-Blood Quincy but what difference does that make between the 2 ?
I’ve seen many people in comments on other videos say that what separates Ichigo from the other Visored could be that their Hollows aren’t connected to their Soul Reapers powers in the way Zangetsu is both Ichigo’s Hollow and Zanpakuto.
That’s just what I’ve read others theorize

your assuming that all soldats are of equal power which is not true, some of the soldats seem to barely keep up with low level seated officers in the screen you posted while the strongest ones can keep up with a Vice Captain.
its like assuming all SR are of similar power when we know that is not true, SR vary from Vice Captain to Above Captain level by statements made by Akon as he stated that there were 16 Spirit power that were of CAptain Level or Above meaning only 16 of the SR are Captain level or higher and we can see that as several SR were indeed fodder some had strong OP abilities but their fighting power is bellow Captain Level for example Pepe he was beaten to a pulp by Base Kensei lol and EAten by Bambietta Fem ritter.

@@Raion9813 yup~ that's right, still he got one~ we do know/hv seen ikkaku's bankai already (so no surprise there) plus we didn't see all the other captains absorb the pill but we know they did it~ my point being, just because we didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen~ it was shown by him very briefly, so it was easy to miss it but it WAS there~ for me that's foreshadowing 🤞

This was actually my most favorite episode so far cause of all the added content that was not there in the manga😬😬😬💝💝...I loved being able to see Shinji's bankai. The shadow of Giselle. Komamura's arrival. I would rate it 11 out of 10 if I could.
I really hope more exclusive anime content gets added to Cour 2 and particularly for Shinji....He really deserves it. I've always loved his eccentric character and the weird vibe he gives. Thank you for your detailed comparison and analysis brother💝👍🏻
5:37 I like how they are streamlining some of the lines and adding additional context. Like where Kisuke explained that “Mr Jail” Quincy having that “ugly look” was partly due to his body not being able to absorb Hollow Spirit energy properly (as it was still poisonous to Quincies)

Well, he does have a "substitute" Bankai he can use in conjunction with his OP Shikai for 3 minutes at a time. Honestly, Sakanade + Hollowfied Shinji would be enough to take out about half the Stern Ritters.

All the vizard that chose to return to soul society had to make an oath to never use their Hollow abilities, if they broke it they are gonna get executed, if i'm not mistaken
Pls continue that videos man! I read the mangas years ago and it is so interesting to see the differences between manga and anime.
Shinji cleaning house with those Soldat was badass and more so since up until this point his Bankai was only alluded to, with CFYOW only mentioning some ominous implications on a hoard of Hollows. Seeing the average Shinigami being wiped out and survivors huddled in cover drives home what a threat Yhwach's forces are, a reversal from the last war where the Quincies were slaughtered.

We know what the main personalities went through but the stories of the faceless 'ordinary' soldiers should be told.

2 Mask Fight is an extended fight with a few pages of 559 and 560.
3 Cang Du gets out of the ice and goes Vollständig.

You forgot about Hell. There were 4 realms created. The Soul Society, The World of the Living, Hueco Mundo, and Hell. That is why there are 4 whirlpools.
Hell existed alongside the original world it has always been a separate realm. Check out my Bleach Hell explained video.

Honestly, I feel the Soldat were overwhelming the Lieutenants mostly due to the sudden change in environment, their numbers, and ambush tactics. I think the Lieutenants are superior to single Soldat, but groups of them can coordinate and overwhelm Lieutenants.
Also, I'll admit I wasn't impressed upon first impression, but looking back and watching your recap, I now appreciate Episode 16 more. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention the appearance of thr comms Quincy when the kikaichu were hijacking the machinery of the Wandenreich city. Unless, was that in the manga?
You are forgetting shikai is 5x - 10 x multiplier of power. Soldat are equal or stronger then them since hisagi had to run from a 2 on 1.
@@sarthakarora3212 be careful, however, it increases the power of the zampakuto by 5 or 10 times, not the Reiatsu of the owner, unless the sword has a Bost-type Hax, There are so many soldat it is very likely that he is running away because they have to catch their breath after having come out of a fight

@@jixreaper6411 It only says 5-10 increase in power. Reiatsu is include in power so it has to increase and bankai does increase it. The 5x-10x multiplier goes out the window on bankai the moment we see the old shinigami. So soldat have to base VC level.
It makes sensee if reiatsu boosting shikai and bankai have higher multiplier. We have also seen hex destroying stronger opponents so it's not a big deal.
@@sarthakarora3212 Absolutely not, it is stated that a bankai increases the capacity of a zampakuto from 5 to 10, the Reiatsu that a shinigami is able to externalize from his Reyoku has nothing to do with this, otherwise Byakuya when using Bankai would become as strong as basic Aizen, but it is incoherent madness
I am not an anime type of guy at all, I always find something within any anime that makes me stop watching (its either the artstyle, story or characters). Bleach is the only anime that kept connected with me, the story was not amazing but the characters and changes over the years really made me stay along for the ride.
I cannot wait for every single episode seeing the progression overtime, shinji bankai and even the shikai gave me goospumps, seeing komamura also got me very excited (unfortunately I know what happens due to the manga, but its still nice seeing this within the anime and watching my anime only friends reacting to it for the first time)

@ 14:20 The Soul King uses the key in the middle to close off Hell. I know this is the answer. The three worlds are the three vortexes around him but the key is used on the middle vortex.

If Reio did have Zanpaktou, it adds the question of whether or not Nimaiya created a zanpaktou for him, or if Reio is the true creator of zanpaktou.
What i've noticed and this is quite interesting, is that Shinji's sword changes its shape even more when he activates his Bankai. At 9:24 and while watching the episode at this exact scene you can quite clearly see the tip of the blade changing to this circular shape similar to how the hilt is when he activates Shikai. Initially i thought that Shinji changed the grip of the sword mid swing and somehow caught the sword by the blade at the end, but if you go a couple of frames forward (when Shinji lets his arm down) you can actually see both the ends of the sword (the tip and the hilt) having the same circular shape. That's really interesting, i wonder what that is all about.
Why does Shinji feel the need to tell his enemies how his techniques work? Rose could have actually won his fight if he didn't do that either.

Well it's not like knowing that the hability changes the direction of your senses would make a big difference, it depends in the hability of the enemy to counter it. It's not that easy as, "oh, so I go the opposite direction". also you don't know when he is using it and not. So they have to guess or do area attacks.
@@samueljuarez2052 it literally allowed aizen to realise what was happening and counter it after some experience. Knowing what his Shikai does definitely only helps the enemy. Kubo may as well have made it a stipulation that shinji has to tell you about it at this point.

Because why not, we don't know enough about vizards to know whether they are immune to bankai stealing or not considering that their zanpaktos are not hollowfied.
Basically, vizards are not sure whether they are immune to bankai stealing , but they know for sure that the pill makes them immune, so it's kinda like, why not take the pills.

Not gonna lie, Shinji's Bankai reveal was cool, but really underwhelming. It was just a couple of still images of mooks fighting each other. I guess already knowing what his Bankai is kind of made it not hit as hard. Shinji's Shikai against Bambi was a lot more impactful, even knowing what it does.

I’m glad they slowed the speed down with adapting things from the manga. I’m really hoping they will add more anime original stuff with manga. I’m not sure if I wanted to see Shinji use his bankai during TYBW because that is one of the biggest moments in Can’t Fear Your Own World story where he uses his bankai to totally crush his enemies.
I think Cour 2 will end with Ichigo Kurosaki Coming to Soul Society to Fight Uryu Ishida

Bro the end where the episode reveal Ichigo’s eyes was the highlight for me, besides Shinji revealing his Bankai.

Maybe it's my imagination, but when Ikkaku got his Shineiyaku pill it looked to me as though Yumichika had his hand upturned as though he was holding something in his palm as well.
The addition of the anime-original scenes of Ichigo being prepared by Ichibe for what they intend as a last resort option is a welcome change to the manga content. Not only does it add important details about the world(s) of Bleach , but because it allows Ichigo the opportunity for a heroic act not seen in the manga while simultaneously reducing the amorality of the Zero Squad. I think it will culminate in Ichigo being made aware of the possibility contingency plan, and of his freely choosing to accept that fate if there's no other option.
Yeah... Idk if ichibe is going to tell ichigo, I don't think ichigo seeing that was in his plans, but maybe I'm letting myself be influenced because I hate ichibe, and I don't trust him...

@@Lagermination Gremmy? No it was pretty clear, Gremmy imagined they are dead, and the ones who turned them into zombie was Giselle, but Mayuri as cool as he is, took control on both of them later and they fight with the worst sternritter named Pepe and influenced by his love Hisagi.
I will never understand why the Vizored captains didn't just use hollow powers
I know it’s a war but my theory has always been that they had to swear not to use their Hollows in order for them to become captains again.
I don’t see another reason why (Central 46 are probably involved someone as well since we know how stupid most of their decisions has been)

The thing that's so annoying to me in this story-line is, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VIZARD??? Where they "cured" or something? Because they would be the perfect people to go against the Quincy as they are already partially hollowfied. Also, why is no one using Kido against them???

The true might of Shinji's Sakanade was revealed as it flummoxed Bambietta in her base form. Loved the reality distortion effects. It was completely useless against Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu but not here.
The fight with Mask, Ikkaku, Yumichika and Hisagi isn't technically anime exclusive. They've just changed the placement of it in the timeline and added to it.
Originally, their fight with Mask happened a few hours after Kommamura Vs Bambi. After Koma is turned into a dog, Chapter 559 starts with Hashwalth being called back from his fight with Shunsui and Nanao to return to the Silbern and then there is a time skip of a few hours as night falls. It then cuts to Ikkaku and Yumichika talking about how they think it's night time and they need to be careful of the shadows. In the anime this is replaced by them talking about Ikkaku's Bankai. Hisagi then shows up and the scene proceeds as it does in the anime, until Mask jumps at them from behind. It then cuts to Cang and BG-9's execution scene. After that it cuts back to all three of them defeated by Mask and then a brief fight with Hisagi on his own until Kensei shows up.
The anime though puts the beginning of the fight before Koma Vs Bambi and includes loads of scenes of them actually fighting Mask, as well as seeing James for the first time.
Because of this I have no idea what they are going to do timeline wise with Ichigo leaving Reio, not to mention Renji and Rukia, because they return back in time for Renji to defeat Mask.
