I saw the thumbnail, even if there not in this video. Dragonball Naruto Yugioh All 3 have FANTASTIC dubs. Their sub counterparts r better tho, I’ll always watch in sub, but there is nothing wrong with their dubs. Naruto specifically has 3 voices in sub that r on par/better than their sub. Jiraiya Dub>Jiraiya Sub Pain Dub=Pain Sub Madara Dub>=Madara Sub
I think you're underrating the One Piece dub. While there were a few voices that weren't right for their characters (looking at you, X Drake), most of them fit like a glove.
Facts I like re watching rezero in the dub and it has one of the better dubs. But the sub just little bit better. But yea the rezero dub will not be slept!!
I couldn’t disagree more with your comment on the Fairy Tail dub as I feel that some characters in the series sound better in the dub than in the sub. For instance, I feel Lucy Heartfilia sounded better in the dub than in the sub mainly because I like Cherami Leigh’s outgoing yet relatable sounding voice for the character.
I do watch anime in dub and I like to when I have to do something like homework or want to look away for more then ten sec. But sub voice acting is better, sometimes the dub voice actor really don’t be trying.
I mean it is. I don’t know a better way to say it unless you watch it in sub and compare it to the dub, which I do for most anime. The sub voice actor are most of the time fans of the series so they just sound more passionate and better. But I want fault you if you prefer dub

@@thoritogaming7649 its the default coz its the language they speak, simple. i say its childish coz its a language you can't speak,,,, using subtitles to judge the voice acting of a foreign language is near impossible especially since subtitles aren't a direct translation but an interpretation of what they mean to communicate ( this isnt to say that subs aren't accurate btw) and this is coming from me and i speak 5 languages like yes dubs can generally not be the best but its not due to just straight bad voice acting thats an excuse that just does not hold up

How are you gonna choose not to have actors who are heavily coached by an author who puts so much work into helping the anime lol. And I like hearing about the other anime despite not watching them, I've actually read the fairy tail manga though. There's a lot of debate about localisation which ties into dub vs sub since they also tend to change scripts more for English dubs to try to match the lips instead of just fit words in the right amount of space(which still influences translations). I don't really like it, since I'm trying to learn Japanese and unless you believe mtl is good translation you know there's basically no objective translation for Japanese to English, knowing a literal translation tells you very little about whether another translation is changing the meaning or picking another equally possible meaning based on context. So localisation isn't that big a deal and half the people annoyed by it can't tell the difference between localisation and alternative but still correct translations. But I also think there's a balance between things like changing jokes and slang which are important to understand a character so they make sense to American watchers(I have basically no knowledge about subcultures like gyaru and I wouldn't be able to recognise an Osaka dialect in Japanese) and removing Japanese context too much for it to count as the same story. So with Pokemon for example, is it a good marketing decision that they changed so many names to be more familiar to Americans, sure, but it does suck a bit to change that much. And if we're gonna translate all names so that the meaning in them is in the right language, half the frieren characters should be called stone or thinking or something (because if you have it translated from German it sounds much less deep). Most of this ramble is probably irrelevant, but some of Subaru's self hating in the dub just doesn't sit right with me, because people online talk about him as say an incel, and hikikomori DOES have a specific meaning. If you ignore that he's Japanese the impression you get is more lazy and entitled, but he's also a social misfit in a country which puts more pressure on kids to conform and has different attitudes to mental illness. I think the dub loses that aspect a lot and Subaru's voice actor especially loses me because I think he changes the character from the author's intention(Subaru's worst actions come from self hatred not arrogance or entitlement etc because depression and ptsd can make you act in terrible ways). I wouldn't want to rant so much if there weren't people out there who prefer the English dub and say it's a better performance!
Yea, I think the rezero sub is just so much better that as good as the dub is the sub to way better. But I do like the dub and went back age watch the series in the dub which was enjoyable.
This is gonna be controversial, but Dragon ball, and Dragon ball z are significantly better in the subbed version. Not only do the voice actors have way more experience, and give off better delivery, but the dialogue in the dubbed version is just plain wrong. They heavily watered down jokes, and heavy hitting lines to reach a Saturday morning cartoon standard, even in the uncut dvds. The lines aren’t accurate, and ultimately destroy key factors within characters like Goku himself. I know a lot of people love the dub and grew up with it, but if I wanna enjoy the series to it’s fullest potential, I’m going with sub.

Don't know about other countries but here in Brazil this isn't controversial. Almost everyone see it as one of the worst dubs of DB. To be honest there is a consent that english countries (specially USA) don't have good dubs, but when they do the original interpretation they're significantly better.
