Hi Paul,nice to see you. About shaving,I love shaving but I'm sorry because I finish to quickly,I love to pass my face for an hour. If I have to shave myself, my skin is telling me if I can do this or no.If I don't feel my skin relaxed and I try to shave I feel pain and I'm not doing.

Very nice shave. Ive not tried the cella aloe vera. I love the normal red cella. Im going to have to order some of this. And i just love the look of your new brush. Im going to order this. It looks stunning. My sotd will be my rockwell 6c on the 4th plate, with a wilkonson sword blade and sir hare soap. Finished with aqua velva aftervshave. Oh, and Mrs H, beautiful floral arrangement. Flawless shave, Paul. The EJ89 always delivers, though I'm surprised that Derby blade kept up. I might have to revisit those blades. MOTD - brat patties on the barbie, vegetable medley and plenty of after dinner cocktails. SOTD - Gillette Pre-War Tech, Astra SP blade, local artisan shave soap, Clubman Bay Rum AS, Vaseline unscented balm.

You didn't use my favorite BIC double edge blade for a long, long time ago... l would like to see you use it in some next videos... in combination with some vintage razor, for example, and natural jager brush... and Old Spice lotion after... ah, a love that kind a combination so much... 😊

Happy Sunday Paul! Lovely flower arrangement as always, thank you Mrs. H!! I like Italian shave soap, Proraso red and Cella red being my favorites. Derby Extra blades: My first go with the pre-2016 blades was awful; so dull it wouldn't cut a fart. The tuck I bought in Turkey during my trip in 2019 proved to be much better blades. SOTD: Gillette Heritage razor loaded with a 1969 Wilkinson Sword NEW stainless blade (8th use). Stirling Creamy Coconut shaving soap lathered with a That Darn Rob 26 mm BOSS synthetic. Finished with Thayer's Coconut Water skin toner and Stirling Bay Rum aftershave. BBS result with a nice manly scent. Your shaves are inspiring. Thank you for sharing them. My SOTD will be Edwin Jagger DE89, Derby Premium blade, Yaqi butterscotch tuxedo knot brush, Cella Aloe Vera soap, Aqua Velva Musk aftershave and Nivea Balm. MOTD will be Roast pork loin With Roast vegetables and Lashentoes of gravy! I’M old school have to shave every day I’m working usually in the afternoon before my night shifts. For my mid week shaves I always do those in the evening. But my Sunday shave is always in the morning. Today my wife and I will be going for a trail walk. I follow you on your other channel too. I'm glad you had a chance to try a Thai curry out. They are my favorite flavours. After watching your trying out the Thai curry last night made me crave one so that's my meal of the day. Take care
Beautiful display by Mrs H and some spectacular choices for your Sunday shave Paul. My Sunday SOTD will be the Gillette Prewar Tech with a Feather blade, Omega Boar Brush, Fine Accoutrements Italian Citrus soap and aftershave, with some Nivea Men’s cooling lotion to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some Jerk Chicken, pineapple rice, grilled corn on the cob, fried okra, and chopped salad. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!

I've only used a few Derby Extras; I find them smooth but not sufficiently sharp enough for many razors. So when I do use one, I put it in my more aggressive razors. I can get a decent shave from them that way.
As for when I shave: every second day, and usually in the morning right after my shower. On the wekends it sometimes happens late in the day - especially if I know I'm going to be getting sweaty during the day; I'll do the sweaty stuff first and shower / shave after.
Nice shave Paul! Happy birthday! Mine was on the 24th, my dad's is today the 26th, his brother's is the 28th, and his son's was on the 19th. Lots of June birthdays in my family!
SOTD: RazoRock Lupo 95 with a Bic Chrome Platinum blade, WCS 2 tone 26mm synthetic, K Shave Worx Cure for a Belly Ache soap and splash, and some Nivea Sensitive Soothing balm.

Haha, coincidentally I also grabbed my Cella Aloe Vera set, preshave, cream, and aftershave. Together with a 6S with a 7days blade, first time use on the blade.
Felt ok, but need to test the blades more.
Great shave Paul💈💈I didn't like Cella at first, the almond scent is not my favorite. Very happy they made the Aloe Vera version, this one is really nice. The EJ DE89 is such a good razor, at .72 gap it occupies the center range of efficiency with a neutral blade exposure making for a smooth close shave. I have that exact razor, exceptional. Nice brush, colors are expressive. Beautiful flowers spotlighted today, thanks Mrs H. SOTD: PAA Cube, Mr Fine "American Blend" cream/splash, PAA synth brush, PAA "Ascension SS DOC" razor w/Polsilver blade, alum, witch hazel and AV 5in1 balm to end...Wonderful. Nicely done, enjoy your Sunday.
Great shave, Paul. I rediscovered Derby Extras a few months ago and have been using them more than any others. I get no worries with these blades, and they appear to have given you a great shave today. Good show!

Shaving for me usually always happens after a shower. Time can vary. Often it coincides with social engagements because I'm not currently employed so I don't have a job to shave for every day.
Made a big Sunday dinner last week and fed my mother and Stepdad for Father's Day with Steaks, fresh sweet corn on the cob and fresh asparagus with a banana cream pie for dessert. I haven't really given thought to Sunday dinner but now Thai food is sounding pretty good to me.
I'm a big fan of the 89 head but I prefer the Muhle Handles. I have a Bronze Muhle Hexagon that I really enjoy.
I’ve owned 20 or so razors, classic vintage and new. Of the lot, I still prefer my DE 89.
Oooh, that brush is a stunner isn't it? DS Cosmetic and Yaqi have both been really outdoing themselves with their handles lately.
Shaving times vary - aiming for a productive day then it's a morning shave with Floris, AYLM, D.R. Harris, Penhaligon's or similar stuff, the more relaxed midday shave gets Prorasso, Cella Tabac or similar and the lazy day shave gets Nivea, Arko, Kapo, Lider or similar. Razor and brush also picked to suit the mood of the shave. Fun hobby with so many different options available 🙂

Hi Paul, great shave. I recently tried the Derby Extra on my DE89 for the first time and enjoyed a great shave. Not the sharpest of blades but extremely smooth. Very underrated. Cheers
DE89 was my first razor in 2018 when I started de shaving. It's beautiful razor. Very cool brush as well.
That Derby packaging tells me that they are post 2016. These are sharper and as smooth as that older version. These are indeed good blades that just work well. I get 3-4 shaves from each of these. It's good to have a variety of blades to use. My go-to blades are Feather and Nacet. But I do use a few others that are really nice and pairs well with all my razors.
Beautiful flowers and a beautiful brush. I would like to support your channel. So, if I buy that brush will you get a commission? Being retired means I can shave anytime I choose. Mostly I shave between 7-8 in the morning. If I have evening plans, I will wait until midafternoon. BTW, you used my favorite witch hazel today. Hi Paul. Great shave. I shave mostly in the evening because living here in Antalya, Turkey the weather is usually hot and I get sweat sting on my neck area if I shave in the morning or daytime. Have you tried the Derby Usta and Derby Premium?
Hey Paul, congrats on the new brush it looks beautiful! My last shave was with Cella too, I agree it’s a lovely scent, don’t know why but I find Cella doesn’t lather up too good for me. I will take a look at your other channel this week, do you do cooking tutorials there too? I love food but my cooking skills aren’t very good 😆.
Hi Paul my first experience with Derby blades wasn't that good they felt blunt out of the pack but like yourself I didn't use them for a while and when I tried them again I find I get on better with them. I have a preference for a sharp blade.

I have using the R89 and Derby Extra blades for several months… always works for me. Very consistent results. Side note: the R89 and DE89 are the same design. Apparently, the head was a collaborative effort. Mühle started making brushes in 1945 and Jagger has been around since 1988. I have been trying to find info on this collaboration. Anyone have more information?
