- It's dinner time, and I'm HUNGRY! I'm heading to Disney's Wilderness Lodge for a meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe, and I'm taking you with me! Will their Traditional Skillet be worth its $40 price tag? Could there be something on the menu that would beat the skillet? I'll share all of my thoughts during this Disney restaurant review, including the item that reigned supreme as the best thing on the table!

We always stay at the wilderness lodge when we go to Disney. We have eaten at whispering canyon for dinner and breakfast. It’s great.The antics about the ketchup are the best and make the meal even more enjoyable.The skillets and the corn bread are both amazing.I can’t wait to go back there on our next trip.

Hey guys! Hope you get to feeling better soon, Deni! Whispering Canyon is so good. I recommend breakfast there. The pulled pork sandwich at Roaring Fork is outstanding!
We go here every trip to Disney. We love everything on the menu. They even have Gluten free options. I think it is still a good value and the lobby there is so beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Great review! Just an FYI from a North Carolina guy: If there's mustard in a BBQ sauce, it's from South Carolina. We have Eastern NC sauce, which is vinegar based, and we have Lexington/Western NC sauce, which is thicker and involves ketchup and vinegar. Not trying to argue, but it's a touchy subject up here. 😅
We recently got to experience Toledo at Coronado. It was fabulous! I can’t wait to go there again. Hope you are feeling better Deni.

My favorite at Whispering Canyon is the Bison Burger they serve at lunch.

Brian doing the Lord's work reminds of when my husband quartered a chicken with a swiss army knife at the Dixie Stampede because I cannot tear a whole capon apart. I feel ya on the voice - been there done that except I usually have an infection if I get that bad. I don't much like the skillets as I don't like all my food touching like that. Burnt end nachos look like a meal to me.
I have really been wanting to try Sebastian's at Caribbean Beach Resort.
Hello from behind Levi’s Stadium. I have also just recently experienced a Cold. I did get plenty of rest and did take my Vitamins and fluids. I hope you get better soon. Did you and your Hubby ever experience the former Thunder Mountain BBQ in Disneyland, California? It was Amazing BBQ and Entertainment. I was really disappointed when it closed down. Deni - When I went there in April 2023 my whole skillet was dry and all tasted the same , I guess they used the same spices or rubs. I didn't like that visit.
Enjoyed the review as always Deni. This summer I tried Whispering Canyon for Breakfast and really enjoyed it. Loved the playful banter between Cast Members and Guests. I would definitely go back again. Happy New Year to you and the family! - K
