Sadly we're being replaced by controller kids. The games even play themselves nowadays. Aim assist auto locks on people at literally 0ms and does all the tracking for them too.

Man it’s not even aim assist no more it’s deadass aimbot. Before I played mnk I played controller that’s all I had the difference between AA back in the day on games like cod 4, og mw2, halo etc is that it actually had some level of skill to it nowadays like you said the game plays it self I plugged a controller in on XD since mnk tripping and was just auto locking to heads…smh

@@laurence2013 Yeah but all the skill in that game comes from the building, traditional shooter players generally do not enjoy or care about that.
Sad to see the issues in the game, but the devs have been very vocal so far in their motivation to better the game, so we just gotta keep forwarding these issues to them like so!
Great testing. I thought the aiming in XDefiant felt off but just couldn't put my finger on it. I thought maybe they were forcing on mouse acceleration or something. Felt very floaty and murky. Between this and the massive frame drop on spawn, it's evident that PC isn't the main focus here.
After a session of XDefiant I hopped onto MW2 and felt like god when tracking moving enemies whereas in XDefiant I felt like an absolute noob.
And the controller aim assist in XDefiant feels quite strong. Plenty of controller players bunny hopping around with SMGs and deleting you in a fraction of a second.
Aim assist on xdefiant is much weaker than cod. I don't feel the game aiming for me on xdefiant but on cod it deffinaltly does.
It's such a weird feeling in this game. When tracking, it almost feels like there's a resistance or something. Really hard to describe the exact feeling, but hipfire was the only thing that felt somewhat normal to me when I was fighting in closer ranges. If I went ADS at all, it was pretty much an insta-lose in the gunfight.
Couldn’t agree more. I also second guess every engagement on this game due to confidence. On Cod I ego everything but on this game, you simply can’t.

Modern games are about maximizing profits. Catering to casuals and having a low skill ceiling is exactly that.

Would love to see if you could do further testing about the input because just aiming feels super floaty and the sens scaling is very off.

Stop buying/playing these games- let them die within a year and lose money. Stop buying skins, DLCs, micro-transactions, etc. Especially now that they are starting to ask $70 for a "AAA" game full of bugs at release. We are slowly but surely moving towards BF2042 type of releases. But I guess this will never change- it didn't change for "Horse Armor" and it will certainly not change now.

dude I knew I wasnt crazy, kbm on this game feels really bad but I love the game so much, controller aim assist feels more broken than mwii aswell, those two things are really ruining this game for me and it sucks
The flinch wobble also doesn't help with tracking

Hey man I recently did the turbo optimization and now my discord is crashing and certain games won’t even launch. This is even after resetting my pc. Not sure what the problem is :/
I don’t see how there aren’t more videos being made about this. I felt something weird immediately. I felt it in the last beta too but I let it slide because I figured it had to do with the net code. This is ridiculous. I’ve played indie games that didn’t have this issue. Ubisoft aren’t new to shooters so how is it that such an amateur issue is occurring?
My solution to this is I simply don't play garbage games like this. Solved! :D Counter-Strike 4 Life!
omg, I thought I just lost the touch from playing too much CoD and sucked at a real game now. I've been messing with my sens trying to fix my tracking issue.
okay.. i thought i was crazy.. all my friends play on controller but im on mnk and the aiming feels way too off. like i know im not garbage. im still decent on controller and decided to use it for XDefiant and it felt FAR smoother than mnk
I think theres more going on with mnk input not just the recoil i have a short clip on my channel of it being more jank
These games are nowadays developed for controller players. mnk comes afterwards and is just not put the time and work into it. of course, the most money can you get from console players (casuals) the aim assist or more like aim bot tells the same story

Yep, I noticed this exact same thing a few days ago while I was messing around in the firing range and immediately made a video about it showing the reticle overcorrecting past where it should be when the firing stops. They said they're working on it. Such an odd thing to happen. I knew things felt off.

I'm really happy you made this. i felt something weird but ignored it. ended up reconfiguring my ADS sense over & over but still felt weird. ended up just going with the flow but thanks & it's really nice that they acknowledged it. really happy with them too

Instead of shitting on them in the comments for absolutely no reason, report the issue. THIS is the reason why they have the alpha open session out, so YOU can realize the kinks and report back to them so they can fix it. They have literally mentioned this everywhere they announced this game.

Theres an issue thats been in this game since alpha!
If u have a controller plugged in or a device that windows thinks is a controller, the mouse movement (small or micro movements) dont work!! Even if ur not using the controller! Unplug all devices and mouse will work fine!!
I told this fix to like over 20 people in the discord, but it seems Ubisoft didn't see my posts or the 100s of people complaining about it lol
But the game is dull anyways! Rampant cheaters!!
because this game is built for controller players aim assist is so strong it's almost like aimbot when it sticks to you don't let it go. play mnk yourself lose almost all close combats in shipment/vondel maps. in buildings, a controller player only has to put his aim on a door or window, the system does the rest for them.
