1:06 is the best Mirror Bride ever. I love how the performer slightly retracts her reach and gaze after Christine faints, as if she knows she’s been refused. Gave me chills. And it’s also impressive how she did all that while still doing the whole bouncing up and down like a mannequin doll kind of thing.
I love all of these except the re-staged tour versions. Wow, those are just weird and don't fit the story or tone at all. Other than that, the rest are great!
@@Darknessanddisgrace I'm pretty sure it's the ones that use Maria Bjornson's original designs (Original West End/Broadway, not in the 25th anniversary, restaged productions).
Ethan Freeman's catch was amazing! I actually like Norms performance here a lot! Some of these mirror brides flinch really bad when the sheet is pulled off and it is distracting.
Thank you so much for another amazing comparison video. Your hard work is not in vain. Once again giving a shoutout to my boy John Cudia. As much as I dislike her dropping to the floor (safety, I know), he gives such a genuine little reaction. It’s sweet. Some of the other Phantoms just walk to get their cape like “oh, she fainted, I expected this response.”
Keep the Comparisons Coming!!!!!!! I Luv 'Em!!!!!!! Especially when Tony & Phantom Las Vegas is included!!!!!!! As a Phan, I thank yu for the time yu put into these Comparisons!!!!!!!
I love when The Mirror Bride goes through the mirror to real Christine Daae I want to have Christine Daae Mirror Bride figure and dress up cute and pretty clothes like Marionette or doll I love The Mirror Bride One of my favorite items including Poster, Monkey Music Box, Erik's Rose, Erik's Mask from
Me watching: (notices Rachel Eskenazi-Gold) Oh, who was the Phantom? (Googles it) Nevermind. Also: Thank you for the Non Replica Productions I love that Hungary and Poland kept it.
21:36 the Germans always do theater best. I’m also interested in knowing why this mirror bride is faced DSR instead of DSL like in all the other productions.
The ones where the Phantom picks Christine up from the floor are wrong and not accurate with the original story. After Christine sees the mirror bride and it scares her she faints and the Phantom should put her in his boat instead of leaving her on the floor
Well, sure, he should, but hey, safety regulations. And I'd much rather a healthy Phantom who lets Christine fall to the ground (it's pretty easy to fall safely) than a Phantom who's thrown his back out scooping her up 8 times a week.
the Uk phantoms I like the most, they at least carry Christine and lay her on the boat while the US phantoms just leave her on the ground drape their cape over her and call it a day
Yes, it's because the US Phantoms are directed to do that, and it's not limited to them - most international Phantoms also do not carry their Christines. Furthermore, with the post-COVID reopening UK Phantoms are no longer carrying their Christines either, so that bit of blocking seems to be gone for good, unless it gets revived by some particularly brave director or actor in the future.
These videos are fun. Could you add time stamps, because these tend to be long and sometimes I am looking for something specific and can't watch the full video. Thanks.
We'll see. I'm generally too busy after making the videos to do more than upload them, and it's not like they get enough views to justify more work being put into them (nor am I getting paid for it either, this is just a side-hobby). Maybe once summer break is here I'll add them to all my videos.

I hate when they have the phantoms not catch Christine ugh I'm glad my favorite cause her n layed her on the boat
I said that awhile ago to myself it’s kinda upsetting when they don’t
Well, It’s mainly due to safety concerns for the actors playing the Phantom. They don’t want to throw their back out every night
Dang the Ethan Freeman and Jill Washington one at 0:48 was so slick
It's so satisfying when he catches her.
I love all of these except the re-staged tour versions. Wow, those are just weird and don't fit the story or tone at all. Other than that, the rest are great!
Is that The Phantom Kissing Christine in Hungary Clip?! Awesome!!
You should make a comparison of that moment in Final Lair when the Phantom tosses the Christine mannequin from his throne and sits down
I might!
Oh my gosh YES. I've been looking for a compilation of that, some of those mannequin tosses are so funny.
In which production does it occur? I've never seen it
@@Darknessanddisgrace I'm pretty sure it's the ones that use Maria Bjornson's original designs (Original West End/Broadway, not in the 25th anniversary, restaged productions).

Nine yrs later!!!!!!! Worth the Wait for Sure!!!!!!!
Why is gerard butler and emmy Roseum not in it
Because this is a comparison of the stage musical, not the movie.
Why is Christine blindfolded at 5:11?
That was the required blocking for the restaged tour.
15:13 so ghostly love it
I can get to some more phantom again I want to see Anthony warlow and ana Marniaif I had those tickets
14:10 is also great

The US tours are my favorite I like a little bit of change now and then but of course the other ones are cool too
interesting how sierra on broadway copied the WE catch instead of dropping to the floor
That was done for Norm Lewis taking over, not necessarily for Sierra Boggess. As the person being caught, she doesn't really have control over that.

Cooper Grodin is the worst Phantom, not only because the new staging, he's stiff, cold, the unsexiest Phantom
