Privileged to have been a guest on this phenomenal platform. Thank you for being a brother in the industry Pen, I learn a lot from you! I look forward to Part 2 one day 🙏🏿❤️
I love how Penuel always digs deep into the conversation. I've got a nephew,he wants to do engineering, and this episode is very informative. Thank you so much ❤
I really enjoyed this episode and hate that it was so short. Lungelo has so much more to share and I hope he does, whether on my platforms or elsewhere. Thank you for tuning in.
Zulu will know that his dad loves him. I'm fixing my relationship with dad. I tell him I love him a lot. Don't worry Penuel your kids will come back to you. We love our Dads.
Dope sit-down, bafethu, especially the chat about dealing with reality while pursuing your passions. It really is about playing the 'learn and wait' game until the time to seize the moment presents itself.💯 That said, I’ve got to weigh in on sound engineering because it feels like we get no respect, lol. Many people think sound engineering is just about monitoring audio levels in a podcast or studio, but that’s literally just the tip of the iceberg. The microphones you’re speaking into, the mixing desks, the cables, and the acoustic treatments in your studio all exist because of engineers who understand the physics of sound, acoustics, and electrical engineering. Think about things like noise-canceling headphones-it’s not just about blocking noise but using sound waves in sophisticated ways to cancel other waves. That’s pure engineering. And outside of music, sound engineers are designing concert halls, perfecting smart assistants like Siri, and building things like hearing aids or Dolby Atmos sound systems. Even smartphones owe a huge part of their usability to audio engineers who optimize microphones and speakers for clarity. Acoustics, psychoacoustics (how humans perceive sound), and audio signal processing are legit fields within sound engineering that can lead to advanced degrees, even Ph.D.-level work. It’s not just technical; it’s mathematical, scientific, and creative. So, while it’s easy to look at sound engineering in the context of music and think it’s minimal, it’s actually foundational to both the entertainment industry and everyday life. Just my 2 cents!
I enjoyed the part about the different types of Engineering and levels of qualification. the way you guys engaged n that made it "un'boring" especially for me who studied Architectural Tech. and only found out when I was already studying that it is not exactly theoretical Architecture
Thank you for the guest and great content. As an avid viewer of this show, would the team consider changing the name to just Konvo versus The Konvo Show?
Aeronautical Wngineering is the study of bodies in fluid and areo dynamics ,basically the body is a object in air....also used to design F1 car and stuff
We need to stop calling ppl with PhDs doctors and just call them by name, with the PhD as a suffix... like Pr Eng or CA (SA). Only medical doctors should be called doctors.
Penuel, I'm 37 YEARS AND MY PARENTS ARE ALIVE, I THINK THEY ONLY HAD SEX JUST FOR ME TO BE BORN, AND BOTH OF THEM NEVER STAYED WITH ME, I WAS RAISED BY MY GRANDMOTHER, I TRIED STAYING WITH MY MOTHER IN MAY HIGH SCHOOL DAYS IT WAS A DISASTER, I WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHY HE WAS NOT THE FOR ME, I'M HAPPY AND LIVING MY LIFE KODWA I CRY EVERY OTHER DAY BECAUSE I NEED MY PARENTS THAT I NEVER LIVED WITH 😢
Talk to your parents, address the issues you have with them while you still can. Seek professional help if you have to but build and mend your relationship with them. Your family is all you have.

Come on Pen… MBChB is not necessary an undergraduate, hence NQF Lvl 8… which is equivalent to an honours degree or postgraduate diploma. After completing MBChB you can do masters. The degree is so intense, hence their PhDs are for specialities. I know you don’t know much about the field, but please Respect.
@@Facts_Only_SA "An MBChB is a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. It's a clinical degree that equips students with the skills to pursue a career in medicine." Please feel free to go argue with academic sources online. Thank you 🙏🏽
@… @ I think you just don’t understand why then are called doctors… but it’s something you don’t want to accept that you don’t understand, hence the uninformed suggestion. “Feel free to argue with academic sources” This is passively rude. This was just another comment. You didn’t have to be rude. But it’s fine.
@@Facts_Only_SA You said I don't know much about the field. You obviously don't know me... so be wary of throwing around "rude" labels in glass houses.
@@Penuelism I have followed you long enough to know some of your strong strengths, weaknesses, conflicts of interests and biases. I never missed your podcasts, bought and read your books. MBChB is not just what you just read on the internet. There are reasons it’s NQF Lvl 8 like your honours, not NQF level 7 like other bachelor’s degrees…

Great conversation gents, question any ideas on how we can generate own free electricity and not rely 100% on Eskom and government?

A sound engineer is a professional responsible for managing and manipulating audio *signals* to achieve the desired sound quality.
NQF aside...
So, do you disagree with the guest that sound engineering is not really engineering?
😊😊😊😊 best episode

I disagree
Medical officer / practitioner for medical doctort
Doctors for people with doctrates
Simple
Arguably debatable Grotman
@serakemanabile3075 Call them GPs, Surgeons and Specialists... and remove Doctor from their titles?
Please organize part 2
We in different fields...
Thank you Penuel..Got hijacked did not have internet access..
At 40:20 he is talking about Sound technicians. Sound Engineers design anything that has to do with Sound. It's not that low level
