No, not even close. In 2019 I bought an '04 R53 that had clearly been leaking oil from almost every seal and gasket for years. There was 7-10mm of sludge built up on the block in places. I cleaned it all up as I was replacing the supercharger.

First - the air leak - is likely a vacuum leak - or the charge pipe seal is bad or not seated properly - will make the Mini yo-yo on acceleration.
Second - the dark stuff on the paint under the engine mount is hydraulic fluid from your failed engine mount. I have owned four Mini R53’s and replaced all three on those engine mounts. The mount has black nasty hydraulic fluid that stains everything it touches.
Super easy fix and the part isn’t super expensive. Search for Mod Mini engine mount on RUclips.
