    Using too many wast mitts is not a crazy thing. It saves a lot of water since you get rid of the other bucket. Especially for those who wash their cars in wash bays like me, this is the best option as it is faster. Besides it is safer compared to two bucket method as you never convey any dirt from panel to the soapy solution in the bucket, wash mitts are always clean. Promote to one bucket with multiple wash mitts instead of two buckets :)

    • @ArthurMSoto
      @ArthurMSoto 8 месяцев назад +4

      I agree 100%, especially as a business i prefer this way. Promoting a higher priced wash alone it only makes sense to be efficient and do what’s right in the end.

      I’ve never tried the multiple mitts method yet but I agree it makes total sense

    • @ivo7597
      @ivo7597 8 месяцев назад

      Using two buckets you essentially reuse the mitt, so it’s efficient .. using one bucket with many mitts you increase speed but to the cost of many mitts. So what if you do a lot of cars a day, how many times would you use the one mitt or every other car another mitt? No method is better or worse its just a trade off and every use case is different

    • @ArthurMSoto
      @ArthurMSoto 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ivo7597 Like anything in life its a trade off, but if you're charging for premium washes you want efficiency and less chance of scratching. To get your mitt truly clean its not efficient the amount of time it takes and being mobile you're in a race against time aka the sun. In the end its best you work as quick as you can.

    Thanks for sharing Frank.
    The clay towel looks interesting, I’ve never used one yet, it’s always been mild clay bars for me so far, if it really doesn’t marr then that’s great.
    You see a lot of mixed reports with various clay towels so it’s hard to decide.
    I’ve had mixed results with water spot removers, one time I used Carpro but maybe did something wrong, as it completely killed the coating where I applied and nothing since has ever brought it back in that area, it’s flat as a pancake 🤔

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Ally thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts and experience!
      Honestly I've had marring, marks from every piece of clay or synthetic media before, for some reasons the DIY towel is the 1st that doesn't do that, even with rinseless only as lub. I guess the magic is in the material they use.
      I have carpro spotless in my cabinet and unfortunately it never did much for me. They don't advertise it as a tool to bring back coating either 😏. I have to get more DIY mineral deposit remover this stuff is addicting. Cheers!

      Mouhaha I thought the same and expect it, wouldn't work well to apply their coating afterwards if it was the case. The product has a clear acid smell, similar to other waterspot remover but I tested carpro spotless wouldnt do the same but has definitive ''in the family'' kind of scent.

    Dear Dogma, to me it makes no sense to spray a protectant on the wheels before you wash your car? I would wait until the final rinse of the entire car? Does that makes sense to you?

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey hartland, I always did it this way because i'm not gonna use the same product for the paint in this particular scenario and I wanted the wheels done right away. I dont think it would change much of anything to apply the wheel sealant before or after the paint wash. Both methods would yield the same result imo. Cheers and thanks for watching
