Blair you are a legend, like slater, hawk, or Pastrana. You reinvented skimboard, nobody does it like yourself.
Most underrated board sport. Always entertaining to watch. Surfer that needs a skimboard.

Making it look so easy reaching the peak. Reading the wave, running fast, perfect drop and foot placement, stylish side slide through the flat spots, then hits the peak like he means it! Any decent surfer or skater can see the skill it takes to do all that but not many can cross over to skimboarding. Props to Kalani for trying!

Compared to surfing, skimboarding is a contact sport. After getting thumped a hundred times as a kid, most of us give up and stick to blue water.

Can someone please explain me if there are different types of skimming?
I mean overhere in Europe I have seen those flat wooden skimboards who only can surf on really flat waves.
They are surfing almost on the edge of the shore or in some ebb puddles.
Now when I see this video my mind is totally blown with skimming this far and on such waves.

Yeah it's all skimboarding, usually the beginner boards are the smaller wooden ones and work fine for skimming on the flats but then when you get to the next level and waves permitting like in the vid, the guys then are riding more high performance epoxy and fiber carbon skimboards which work a lot better for the gnarly stuff they are doing.
