I do heavily disagree with Rey>Luke. They have quite a few massive differences that i think really sets them apart from each other that a lot of people over look. For 1 Luke can lock out arenas with a sentinel against some decks (like obi or concord) and 2 Luke lightsaber is unique and insanely strong when placed on your leader. And 3 hes better at protecting cards like 4 cost qira
I agree he is really underestimates the power of a shield. Luke's ability continues to be powerful throughout the whole game as well, where Rey tends to fall of after her flip turn. I think they are both great in there own way. Honestly they are just not really comparable. They are just accomplishing different things.
I see emperors legion and palps return having very different uses. Palps return is a recycler for high power high cost villainy units like vader, maul, devastator, palp, avenger and relentless. Whereas emperors legion is a good counter for hard control and msu type decks that are playing high power but easy to kill units in large numbers. Different roles
I think fell the dragon murdered vanquish more than Rival's Fall. Fell the Dragon hits 99% of the targets you were wanting to hit with vanquish and it does so with 1 less resource. Rival's fall's extra cost means that if you aren't using it on the leader you are just spending more for the same thing as vanquish, but again Fell the dragon is going to hit those vanquish cards anyway making rival's fall more for leaders.
I am on the rival's side of this debate, I think the flexibility is very much worth the extra cost. To understand why I prefer Rival's fall we need to understand why we play those kinds of removals in the first place. Those removals are by definition late game removal that are meant to be used in late game against targets that are either more expensive or same cost as the removal, so fell the dragon being cheaper doesn't actually allow you to play the card earlier in most cases , what it allows you to do is play one other cheap card along side it, which is from my experience rarely relevant and when it is relevant it's generally not a game changer. On the other hand, Rival's fall hitting leaders is extremely relevant and an absolut game changer, leaders are some of the most powerful units in the game and see play in every single game, therefore, being able to defeat them unconditionally is huge, especially in a meta filled with boba armor and darksabers. I also like to mention that being able to target smaller units is also quite relevant, how many times have I been stuck with fell the dragon in hand not being to use it at all, there is even certain MU where there are less than a handful of target for it! As far as late game removals , flexibility beats cost every time. Don't get me wrong I still think fell the dragon is a good cards and definitley contributed in murdering vanquish but I think rival's fall is overall the better card.
@@lpsoldier78 To add to my statement is I feel Rival's fall is taken for a slightly different purpose than vanquish while fell the dragon is taken for the exact same purpose but cheaper.
As long as this kind of removal remains at common/uncommon. Having played other games it's never good for game health when target removal is on those rarer or legend cards. As for which ones are better, my mid range blue decks are now running three takedown, two fell the dragon and two rivals fall. Though I still rate vanquish.
This was a fun video to watch. I like this video and was surprised for some of the cards you mentioned. Overall though, great video and really enjoyed it!
I am not a fan of Rival's Fall while using it to kill a Leader. Using 6 resources to kill an unit that cost 0 is terrible in my opinion. I would prefer to find a way to use an ambush unit that will let a body after the trade. For example if on turn 6 you use it to kill Boba but you cant do anything else that turn, you are already dead. So if I want to have a removal for dangerous unit, I would prefer to play Vanquish ( more Fell the Dragon now) where you can remove high cost unit and make some resources advantage. Anyway amazing video as always :)
With the exception of forced surrender - which I have never seen in competitive play - I have seen the other 4 'retired' cards used in the last month ... main deck or sideboard. The use case for every card shrinks as you add more cards, but I still find use cases for all these cards. Steadfast, for example, (yes I know it was your honorable mention) gets used in Boba Green quite often and is a game winner. Zuck gets used in some decks, but that Overwhelm on a 7/7 makes it a game finisher quite often.
Assuming you are already running three K-2SOs and three Wreckers it's depends on you base colour. I see Sabine Wren win plenty of games without Poe....

I agree with @schmelzwah - I feel that Fell the Dragon murdered Vanquish harder than Rivals Fall did

Forced Surrender is a beast in Twin Suns. Getting 3 people to discard two cards is so much fun.
oh yeah absolutely!
Rey murdered Luke like Episode 8 murdered Lukes heritage ;o)
Agree except for Rival's Fall. The 1 more cost make the difference even if it can kill a leader.

SOme decks use both Pillage and Forced Surrender, but the latter tends to be sideboard.
The new mic sounds great.
Sound is better. Bravo pour ta chaîne 👏. Pourrais tu montrer un deck vador Green que tu trouves compétitif dans une prochaine vidéo? 😊
@@kickas1469 Merci, je pense que bossk ramp est la version supérieure du deck vador ramp
Is there any alternative card to Por Dameron if the deck "requires" three and you just have one? Let's say in a Sabine deck.

Very original video great stuff!
Rey murdered Luke... ain't that the truth
When comparing Rival's Fall to Vanquish in a vacuum, the one cost difference feels too little.
The picture of the video scare me, not dooku
Seems to me like Fell the Dragon murdered Vanquish 🤷🏻♂️
