Would you mix and match front end parts or go a kit from one brand? I'm planning on some Thuren leveling springs and maybe some Overland shocks, but I might also go Bilstein shocks some cheaper parts like an adjustable track bar from where ever.
Spamfried actually on my 2012 3500 cclb i have bds control arms , hell bent steel leveling kit , bilstein 5100 shocks and a carle adjustable trac bar to re center diff due to lift and let me tell you its a killer recipe ! Obviously not a full on carli or thuren lift but its one solid front end ! On the real no lift just 5100 shocks !
@@spamfried894 In my experience, the Thuren Overlands ride a little better than the Bilsteins, and you get a discount whey you buy them with the Thuren coils. Also, the Overlands themselves are pretty cheap. I couldn't say much about anything else, but you really can't go wrong with a complete Thuren kit.
If you get a new truck and your not scared of spending money. Get a mega cab and do an 8ft bed conversion. It gives you a lot more cab space and is only 11in longer than the truck your driving. It a $7,000 mod but great if you tow long distance
How about a mega cab with an offset goose ball? I'm really having a hard time justifying a long bed when I tow a travel trailer/5th wheel once a month at most. Plus I have 3 growing kids, so the more interior space, the better.
A mega cab has crossed my mind to. But the only thing that concerns me with a megacab is the short bed with a gooseneck. You see a bunch of megacabs with the cab smashed in from the trailer. But the extra room would be nice.
Standard gooseneck flatbed trailer its nearly impossible to hit on a megacab, neck is skinny. New 5th wheel campers have curved corners but can still hit around the 70 degree mark which is more then enough to fit in a tight spot. And lastly they make autoslider 5th wheel hitches that are phenomenal and when i want to take it out of my bed for the space then i just leave it connected to my 5th wheel trailer, lift up on jacks and pulls the hitch right off the bed. Get a megacab vs crew, more truck to grow into and get your money out of and get a full middle rear seat. -cheers
I wanted to go with Carli but their website said it reduced payload by 15%. I don’t think I have that to spare in my three-quarter ton. I see videos of people racing them through the desert but I don’t think I have seen anyone who works their truck running one of the high dollar suspension. I hope you do it so you can let us all know how it turns out LOL
I know you do heavy hauling, but any tips to make a 2014 less bumpy? Put some Monroe’s but it change nothing. Would those firestone bags stiffen it up? Keep up the great videos man!
Get rid of the stiff front springs. Get a quality level/lift kit that replaces the front springs. You’ll be amazed at the difference. Air bags in the rear help with freeway chopping if you have leaf springs.
mega cab dually, dream truck. go big or go home. love the channel .
Carli or Thuren is the only way to go! The 2 big dogsss 😎👌

You get what you pay for... not bad for the price !
I bought some Thuren parts and man the quality is amazing 👍🏻
Truck looks awesome! Personally I would go with a much higher quality leveling kit though, like Carli. 80K truck, do it right.

No mega cab. just the new limited 4500 chassis cab truck!!!
Why would the truck be gone real soon? Looking to get a 2020?

TR Cattle you can get an 8ft bed conversion. Its like a $5k-$7k dollar mod though.

Holton C. Yeah.... but who doesn’t want a 22 1/2ft mega cab long bed 🤣
you got a limited with no air suspension?
wasnt the older one the same with airbags from factory?
Cool setup!👍Great video !
Just say it, CARLI 🍻

The level kit doesn't effect payload
Why are we looking at an empty field and road over and over instead of the kit
