Oh My Goodness!!! That is an excellent looking bear and this is an amazing tutorial!!! I excited to watch the next video part of this, so I can make one as well!!! My 26 year old son has had the nick name of Bear since he was born basically, only he was baby bear back then, now I just call him Bear, anyway I want to make him one of these small enough that it can be a keychain for him or he can hang it off of the mirror in the big ole semi he drives!!!!!!!

you can use any yarn of your own choice. It will come out smaller than the guy I make in the video, just because Red Heart Super Saver works up a smaller gauge than Comfort yarn. If you go to hat pattern on my blog, the bear 2nd from the right is made with super saver. He's also pictured by himself just under that photo. If I use a bigger hook do I get a bigger bear? It my first time crocheting
yes, but you don't want to use too big a hook or you'll get gaps. If you want a bigger bear you could try doubling the strands of yarn, a bigger hook or a bulky yarn and a bigger hook.
