    Great! I was having trouble understanding this at first since I ordered my Taranis Qx7 which came with an SBUS receiver. These are the mistakes I made in case you are in my same scenario:
    After reading the flight controller manual, I saw that I had to connect the SBUS cable on the back port, not on the front.
    I was not setting the proper configuration on cleanflight at first and this part took me days to figure out, after this I was all set and ready to go.

    hello, i have a microzone MC6C transmitterand MC6RE receiver so now i am trying to make a fpv drone so i decide to use it for HGLRC F722 flight controller so my MC6RE receiver has a M.BUS port for connect flight controller so if i use the HGLRC F722 flight controller to this receiver as S.BUS it will be work without any issues???? (please someone who else reply to this question as soon as possible)

    Actually you didn't explain anything, that those are different protocols is obvious ಠ_ʖಠ

    Adam, at first I want to say Thank You for all the great job you are doing in this field!
    I'm a very beginner, and till this day, I have not fly an RC Aircraft yet but I've learned a lot from You!
    Respecting the Question what is an iBus, sBus or so, in my opinion an iBus it may be a base frame of a Drone which has the shape of the Cap letter (I) similar to the drone toy appearing on your bench...

    Thank you for your videos, I'm having a problem trying to figure out how to connect the Flip32+ FC to the iA6C Receiver. I have a TGY 9X 9CH Transmitter. I'm not really sure that I have the receiver bound correctly, red steady blinking light on the receiver means it's bound?? I'm new to this Drone world.

    What does the sBus receiver do that a typical ESC and or Flight Controller cannot do?
    I have limited space on my aircraft with the ESC the Flight controller and the battery.
    If the sBuss is something I can do without, that would be great.

    • @RCwithAdam1
      @RCwithAdam1  4 года назад

      Hi! ibus and sbus receivers usually don't have servo ports (PWM protocol) and are much lighter and smaller than those used for airplanes. No matter what, you'll still need a receiver to go with your ESCs and flight controller, so the type of receiver you choose depends on how light/small you want it to be, and if you want to be able to use the same receiver for an airplane later.

    This really helped me. I’m from the way back rc, would you have a radio model that you would suggest that wouldn’t break the bank but would future proof for a bit? Also is there a max number of channels that you would stick with?

    • @rumjar1986
      @rumjar1986 6 лет назад

      OutdoorMentor I’m getting back into flying mainly race fpv and the odd larger camera drones and if I can get some more room to fly maybe a few fix wing. Just a bit of everything. Just atm the kids are taking priority with the big dollars. I do have a few other flysky radios, a th-9x and a i6s.

    • @rumjar1986
      @rumjar1986 6 лет назад

      OutdoorMentor atm I’m playing with the old Th-9X and seeing how I go getting opentx on it. For the age of it I’m surprised that there are as many mods and add ons still available.

    • @RCwithAdam1
      @RCwithAdam1  Год назад

      Some of it applies, but mostly only for drones (because of the flight controller). Airplanes typically just use PWM.

    So, i have reciever that has ibus wich is german and ppm wich i s japan. I only speak finnish (little bit english). I noticed it also has sbus, so does it understand Finland/English? If not, do i have to start to learn japanise or german? I really want to fly, but if i have to learn a whole new language (becauce i do not have afford to hire a japanise/german translator) it would take quite long time :( What should i do?

    Hi man...i have this transmiter...and the reciever has i-bus...but the tx has option to i-bus to s-bus...does it work on s-bus? Thanks!!!

    • @RCwithAdam1
      @RCwithAdam1  6 лет назад +2

      If your rx is the X6B, yes. You just need to plug the rx into the correct port on the flight controller (should be the left hand side of the large connector port in the rear of the FC), change the output mode in our tx to Sbus, and in betaflight change your rx settings to Sbus (in the configuration tab).

      @@sptrader6316 because the flight control i bought, it can only support s-bus.

    I have the FlySky i6 with the ia6b reciever, and the omnibus f3 FC which is not compatible with iBus, only sBus and PPM. I tried setting it up with PPM but it will not recognize the UART3 port in Betaflight. I am really new to this, what do I do? Can I get a new reciever that is sBus that still connects to the FlySky?

    • @braedongentry6463
      @braedongentry6463 6 лет назад

      I have a 210mm quad that I just finished building. That reciever is iBus and my FC does not support iBus

    • @braedongentry6463
      @braedongentry6463 6 лет назад

      Thank you very much! The UART3 port is being recognized by betaflight, just not when PPM mode is selected. If I change to Serial RX, UART3 appears in ports and I can turn it on, but my receiver is not sBus so it doesn't matter. I will definitely try out this receiver and let you know how it goes

      this one.you can bind fs a8s with your flysky fs-i6 and omnibus f3 is supported . check this out !! if I am not mistaken anywhere it should work.

    excuse me my fine sir, I think there is one itty bitty tiny erratum in today's otherwise faultless illustration of exemplary higher tutelage, protocol and language , not really the same thing, and i'm not talking about skinny pretty girl verses ugly fat girl difference, i mean skinny girl versus bus muffler difference. actually just between you and me when it comes to digital language is really inconsequential because everything ultimately boils down to just 1's & 0's. protocols are more like an explicit sets of regulations or principles dictating conduct and standards....... proptober rules, long live proptober!!!!

      Ibus signals are sent back and forth at a faster rate compared to PPM. And are more responsive than PPM. You need to listen to other videos on the subject.

      Hi there! Thanks for your comment.
      Sbus = Serial Bus
      PPM = Pulse Position Modulation
      PWM = Pulse Width Modulation
      This UPDATED version might be more helpful: ruclips.net/video/y7T4hBqOwxM/видео.html .
      You're right, I should have included the actual protocol names for those abbreviations. I wanted to focus more on what the practical and usable meanings are for the protocol abbreviations. Does this help? 👍
