      The manual says it's compatible so it should bind like any others. Jumper the bind pin, add power, hold your bind button on your TX and power on.
      Looking at a quick photo of one, the bind pins are labelled on Channel 3 on that one.

    I had that transmitter in my first plane, it kept loosing signal after about a two minute time frame and distance, yanked it out of my plane and bought a used spektrum and haven't had a problem.

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 4 месяца назад

      All electronics systems can have failures. The failure rate with this protocol and radio has proved to be remarkably low - similar to Spektrum. The normal range possible can be seen by Googling up the test video by iforce2d in New Zealand. Bang for buck the simple little Flysky FS-i6x transmitter makes the over-priced Spektrum gear look laughable. For those who require a far more competent radio most folks who aren't already trapped in the financial clutches of E-flite/Spektrum would chose a Multi Protocol OpenTX/EdgeTX/ELRS radio like the Radiomaster TX16SMk2. With the latest firmware they are equivalent in capabilities to the most expensive Spektrum radios - at an order of magnitude lower cost! Plus they can run about 100 different protocols (including all the Spektrum Gear) on the same radio.

      @@TheWayneStevenson Sorry mate, but that is pure BS! The iA6B receiver can output PWM, PPM, i-Bus AND S-bus provided that the transmitter you are using can be set to transmit any or all of them. For instance the stock FS-i6 transmitter CANNOT be set to transmit S-bus but the FS-i6X and FS-i6S both can.
      Your channel would grow more quickly if you put your time into researching the information better and got rid of the dumb theatrics.

I have successfully binded my Flysky I6 to receiver however, in betaflight there appears to be no transmitter input. Betaflight in configured for Ibus and so is the transmitter. I have tried with the drone plugged into a battery and without. My only other thought was that the firmware on my Tx is old. (2015?) old. Regardless i still cant get betaflight to recognize transmitter input. If you have any idea that would be greatly appreciated.

I limit my exposure to social media because of my job. I think you would like the build I'm doing. 2 Independent head-tracking gimbals with 2 cameras on each, via camera switcher. I'm also incorporating a 3rd up-facing cam that each can access when needed. I'd down to setting up, mixing and configuring the 4 servos we need. I'm thinking I'll use a second VTX and receiver for the second headset setup. This is the topic I'd like some advice on if you have any thoughts on how to set that up, or if you have a link that explains the concepts.

      The FS-iA6b and the FS-iA10b are identical with the exception that the 6 has 6 PWM channels and the 10 has 10. Which I believe I explained earlier in the video. Possibly not. Everything is the same in terms of powering, configuration, and using PPM connection or iBus. If you're using an older flight controller or a plane / helicopter with servos then you would use PWM channels instead.

    Since no one else seems to understand why or what to do.. my FS i6x has the worst servo resolution/frame rate i have every experienced. I get it.. it’s a $60 transmitter, but what can be done? I recently updated to there “version 2022” from their website to update the firmware. But still the same. Massive delay.. and having to use 100% expo on all channels to even fly my EDF’s with some sort of confidence.

    • @pepper8048
      @pepper8048 Год назад

      It's a bit of a confusing question since servos do not have a resolution or frame rate. They would also have nothing to do with video related issues. If you are having issues with your video, be sure you are using compatible products. It sounds like you may have a VTX that isn't playing well with your Headset. Be sure you are on the right channel and not just very close to the frequency. It's cheaper to buy a new VTX than a new headset.

    the only thing good about Flysky is how cheap they are, but really cheap and crappy transmitters are not the way to go in this hobby if you are really into this hobby. just give those crappy remotes away to a newbie

    • @TheWayneStevenson
      @TheWayneStevenson  2 года назад

      I've never had issue with their quality. One of them I've logged hundreds of sim hours on without a hitch. Their receivers too. Though last year I switched over to the TX16S and while it did feel different can't say I utilized any features that the FS-i6 with the channel mod couldn't do. The FS-i6X doesn't require the firmware mod. This year I switched over to the Jumper T Pro to go ELRS. Very happy with that! Have a transmitter module for my TX16S but likely not going to use it much going forward.

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Год назад +3

      There's always some "expert"/"I've been flying RC for 150 years" know-it-all who is ready to advise any kid that wants to try the hobby that they just have to have a $2000 transmitter and 1/2 scale plane to start with. 🙄
      The truth is that there are any number of REAL hobbyists who have long experience in flying all types from 2m gliders to 400mm DIY foam board bashers who never use anything more than these "cheap and crappy transmitters"!
      A flasher transmitter like the TX16S or Newer Spektrum is nice (if you can afford it and have a use for the extensive extra features) but generally WON'T steer your UAV around the sky any better than these. THAT'S down to the skill of the operator behind the sticks. 😉
      The only 2 legitimate cons against these are that they ARE hard on the dry-cell batteries (do a LiPo mod) and they only have 3 mixes available to use in setting up your plane.

    • @TheWayneStevenson
      @TheWayneStevenson  Год назад +1

      Absolutely. There are "better" transmitters out there with more features, but I would argue that they're just bloated and most people have no need for them at all. Granted this video is a couple years old. I re-released it without some excruciatingly load intro music, my argument is still the same. These transmitters are still great!!! I have owned a TX16S for a couple years now and my needs as far as a transmitter go, haven't changed from when I was flying with my Flysky. With the OpenTX that it came with, and EdgeTX that I loaded last season, it's more feature packed than I know what to do with.
      And I have to be honest that that only reason I purchased it is because I wanted some skin in the game when I came to the defense of the FS-i6. Because as so many people pointed out that I didn't know what I was missing. So I decided to find out. And my view hasn't changed. These still perform, and will handle the needs of most people.
      I did make the switch to ELRS last season, so I had to move away from Flysky as it isn't supported and modding the FS-i6 with an ELRS transmitter was more effort than I was willing to put in.
      I also moved to the Jumper T Pro as I found my TX16S to just be unnecessarily large for my needs. But love the EdgeTX firmware on it. It's great. I'm slowly moving all my drones over to ELRS. Usually when they crash and need repairs. I think I only have a couple left that are still on Flysky.

      @@TheWayneStevenson 🙂 Sounds the same story as our Old Farts group. Most have a TX16S, a couple on EdgeTX, 1 TX12Mk2 on ELRS, 1 remnant Spektrum, but still using 4 FS radios for the older foamies. They're easier to heft! 😉👍👍

      You know what they say about opinions. Here's some facts. I have owned my Flysky fsi6 for 4 years. I have about 1000 hours of use on it. Currently I am flying 15 RC airplanes with it. It's easy to program and I resolved the battery replacement issue by buying four 1.5 volt 3000 mah rechargeable AA batteries for about $20 on Amazon. Best of all their 6 channel receivers are only about $15. For about $50 this is a great radio!
