i like the way these guys preach safety. I know people get tired of hearing about it and you don't read or hear about prop accidents, perhaps everyone is just lucky or they do indeed practice safe habits around the world. But I do not mind at all that they preach it, it's really awesome that they do.
Finally...A perfect demo of how to set up and use Throttle Hold for a Newbie! Thank you guys for this valuable safety lesson with all the visual steps.
Do you use your FlySky For Airplanes or Quads? Here is a link the FlySky Transmitter. We even allow you to choose your 'Combo Receiver' graysonhobby.com/flysky-fs-i6x-rc-drone-quad-transmitter-radio.html
ALSO! A current owner of this radio here. Please make sure you don't hit and hold "save/cancel" while on the Display page. It will move and cycle everything. Including your throttle. I've had it catch me almost twice now. Just be mindful of it and it's a great radio. Use it in my Avanti S V2 currently
I love you, I could not find any video, I am new to this, so I looked at how you connected everything and it worked just like you said, my plane now works, they are the best
I have had the FlySky FS-T6 for about 5 years and it has never failed my on my collection of fixed wing. much better then spectrum lower lever stuff and the range is MUCH longer
I also have the FS-T6... I got it used, all I could afford. Glad to hear that it's good! I still can't figure out how to do Channel Mixing. 😳 I want to add a little up Elevator mixed with Ailerons, for a little automatic Bank and Yank.
Stank you so much for the info, I used to build mine with balsa and monocote about 44 years ago while n the Air Force. My radio was a futaba and fortunatly wheel and dealing got it in a swap and to fix it and a servo was about $50. I had a piper cub and a P-51 mustang with 6' wing span. The gas motors were tricky as they would snap bank and pop your finger, wow it hurt. Being retired cuts budget way down and had to get rid of all of it years ago as children were more important but it's ok. Love the hobby., I have a Horizon Hobby Sport Cub S with safe technology which blows me away. I love the as I call it the oh crap button. Thanks again guys!
I should have watched this before maidening my first build. It was SO twitch and I would constantly overcorrect in a panic. I had a perfectly dialed setup for my FPV mini quad, but fixed wing transmitter -> receiver is a whole new world. I should have known better. Thank you.
I have the FS-I6X transmitter and it's great. It's even capable of receiving rssi from the better flysky receivers (ia6b,x6b), I use it to find lost models (on rare occasion). Great range too.
You guys are awesome. Most of my RC knowledge has come from your videos which are really informative and easy to follow along. You guys are among the top level youtube trainers on this subject. Thanks for for all your videos.
Thank you demoing this transmitter. I am getting into the rc flying and i have decided to start out with this transmitter. This video was very helpful and sure will be back to reference it once i get going with setup.
Working on setting mine up. One suggestion (yes, I bench tested with the prop on and I’m glad you mentioned taking the prop off) when my radio boots and plane is plugged in the transmitter displays a message to move all switches to the up position. I am reversing my throttle idle switch so that up is off. Great video! I learned at least two things I did wrong.
You guy are awesome, I'm just getting into the hobby I just purchased the the fms Kingfisher & the flysky fs-i6 transmitter & the fs-ia6b receiver and want to hook up the so that I do t crash it first thing. Hope you can help me out thanks
Hey Mike, Thanks for watching. We are receiving tons of positive feedback from the FlySky as well. It has more features than most higher end Transmitters for waaay less $$. Do you use your FlySky For Airplanes or Quads?
Hi Guys..,just bought the Fkysky TX,.. a question,,do you have to set-up the kill switch on all models or do you set it up ONCE,, and does the TX remember all the different settings for different models you have programmed I.E trim expo ect,, ?.. thanks for a great tutorial ,,,
You will need to setup each model individual. There is not a 'master' kill switch. But just copy your model in the menu and you will not have to reprogram anything.
Thanks for doing this video. I can find lots about planes and spectrum receivers. And some about drones and flysky. But there really isn't much on the tube for planes and this radio. It's like it was tailor made to answer all my questions about setting up my first radio and plane. Bookmarking this video and your store.
How do I set up a total of five channels I have two ailerons and two elevators in the back. I got the throttle on Channel 3 on the receiver and it works properly but none of the ailerons or elevators work... I've got the eachine F-16
Thanks for the awesome tutorial on the transmitter setup. After a 26 year hiatus from the hobby I'm looking to start flying RC planes again. My old Futaba radios are no longer relevant in today's high tech world so I'm considering this radio to get going again. Could you please recommend reliable servos that would stand up to a .45 glow engine powered aircraft? Will this receiver also take the vibration produced from a glow engine? Thank you!
which channel on reciever do you plug in the battery when battery has small 3 wire stadard hittec style connector when you have a gas plane. and what do i set PWM or PPPM and i bus or s bus. Im running individual servo connections..and a standard servo for gas throttle. Thanks
I have 6+ planes. I recently purchased this receiver and transmitter combination. My goal is to have one transmitter and multiple receivers in different planes so that I don’t have to bring a Transmitter for every single plane I I go flying. I noticed in the settings that you can name multiple planes and save multiple settings for the names of those planes. Is this capable without having to bind each individual receiver to this transmitter simply by saving the settings in the transmitter itself and then when you get to that plane you just change the settings in the menu and you’re flying that plane with the same transmitter. Some of my receivers are buried where I cannot access them to bind them to the transmitter which is what I’m trying to avoid. Can it be done with this Model radio?
Probably too late for you but for others, yes, each of the model slots can store the bind to whatever receiver you want. You just have to bind once per model slot
I started making a boat for fishing and I bought this flysky fs i6x 10 ch and I do not know how to make it work with 5 engines of which 2 are for steering, 2 to throw bait (lifting, lowering) and one of throwing bait by spinning
hi i just got viper jet i dont know if it work for flysky radio are not i hope it work for it i dont no if it crash it i hate to see this got burn to going down
Aré there any micro receivers that are compatible with this transmitter? Something like the EFlite EFLU4864 ultra micro receivers? Or am i stuck with using only Flysky recievers?
There are plenty of mini Flysky receivers. Just Google it. You can't use Spectrum (EFlite stuff) with this without adding an outboard module to the back of the FS-i6X.
I need help! I have a Flysky I6X transmitter to control my tracked inspection bot. But when I first switch the transmitter on, it beeps and gives me this message: "!!WARNING!! Place all switches in their up position and lower the throttle" Sometimes I just bump my left toggle switch, channel 3, and it stops the warning and gives me full control. But all too often, it doesn't matter how many switches and toggles I move around, it just keeps beeping and will not give me control. What is it doing and how do I get it to stop? I have a simple tank chassis with a light and camera gimble on it. It's not like I need a safety switch to start with. Can you help me?
Just recieved my radio hooked it all up and when I pull back on the elevator at 3/4 it gives me full left alerons? Bad radio? Hooked up rudder to ch 1 and same thing.
Hi guys, very helpful video, I still have one question. My ESC/motor is bidirectional, so if I want no throttle, I have to position the left stick exactly in the center. Is there a way to make the motor spin only one way, or a way to adjust it in the settings so that I have the full range of control over only one direction? I don't want my plane's prop spinning backwards during flight :)
I learned the hard way to take my props off ..... I was fussing around with my flysky transmitter in the field and BAM I reversed the throttle by mistake, oh boy that was a very painful lesson the plane jolted forward into my upper thigh the prop hit my leg , it really hurt but then broke ane cut my cheek wide open on my beautiful face, it was super scary not to mention 18 stiches later.
Thanks guys! i was just trying to figure it out for my son to fly a trainer...i hope i can get some more stuff from you guys later this summer. (jeff v)
You can put A,E and R on any channel you like (even the pots) - might make it a bit cumbersome to fly though. A,E,T,R and mode (or Gear) on 5 is standard for Flysky.
Guys I have the FlySky FS-i6X Transmitter and FS-X6B 6 Channel 2.4GHz Receiver can I use it with my Blade 130s rc helicopter and how can i get it to work PLEASE
Two comments I am going to make here. Calling this an entry level radio would suggest one needs to upgrade it. Can you say why I should upgrade if I have one? 2) Why is it that nowadays guys on rc channels about flying refuse to mention rc helicopters? Its usually said..'' on your drones, multi rotors, planes or whatever..."' And yes, I have one of these radios, and yes I have helicopters:)
For me I have used flysky radio for my helis 450 size .swash plate settings throttle curve..etc..everything is there to do what you need to do fixed wing or heli.
7 years later and you are still helping people with this video! Just got my fsi6x setup perfect for my plane thanks to you!

Thank you guys from 7 years ago! I understood the setup as a guy who never had an rc plane before. I got the plane today and will fly soon!

Both FlySky FS-i6 and the FS-i6X can be updated to 10 channel, with a firmware update through usb from a pc, the soft ware is free.
Do you know where (website) and how to change the firmware to a 10 channel?
I just bought one for my first rc plane ... awesome video, thank you
I have the FS-I6X transmitter and it's great. It's even capable of receiving rssi from the better flysky receivers (ia6b,x6b), I use it to find lost models (on rare occasion). Great range too.
I've just bought one of these and this is such valuable information. Thanks. guys
Great video! You explain very clearly and naturally; exactly what I needed.
nice!! --Thanks Gents!! ...still learning ALOT, FLYSKY is what im starting with!! Keep up the Great Work!! THANKS AGAIN WILL, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

Raw RC novice here with an Eachine Spitfire. Will the Fly Sky i6x work with this plane and how do I set it up.
You guy are awesome, I'm just getting into the hobby I just purchased the the fms Kingfisher & the flysky fs-i6 transmitter & the fs-ia6b receiver and want to hook up the so that I do t crash it first thing. Hope you can help me out thanks
I love Flysky , I have the i10 but also had the 6ch as well and is a solid radio. I found it better then Spektrum . Easy to use and it just works .
Hey Mike, Thanks for watching. We are receiving tons of positive feedback from the FlySky as well. It has more features than most higher end Transmitters for waaay less $$. Do you use your FlySky For Airplanes or Quads?
I use mine for planes , I fly mostly warbirds
Thanks for the video - I am trying to set up the three way switch ('C') , but cannot get any info on how to do it.
So...keep the props on, got it.
No off lol
When plugging in the receiver wires, are they labeled? How to tell which is which? Very good video. Thanks
Have you a similar video with gyro set-up please?
Really nice explain and presentations. Appreciate it 👍

I'm setting up the ix6 for my skytrainer , should it be in PPM, or PWM ?
just got one, it does wot it says on the tin, good bit of kit, managed to get it to work, I am a beginner at this,
Can you use flysky transmitter and receivers in any plane ? Arrows p 51 , and t 28 , apprentice 1.5 , pt 18 , FMS has flysky and reflex in it ?
Doesn't a softer expo on FlySky have to be negative in the expo for a softer stick in the center?
olá,sou iniciante no hobby...qual a diferença entre o FS i6x e FS T6? obrigado.

Glad this video could help, glad you enjoyed it thanks for the support
Thanks a lot for the video guys.understood how to change the settings for every plane👍👍
Great thank you for going to all details I appreciate it
Thanks for the great video
Hey Kevin, thanks so much for the kind comments and thanks for watching! --B
yooo thanks so much i have been getting rtf planes and wasting money but i’m gonna get the flysky transmitter THANK YOU
How do you hook up the fms reflex to the fly sky 6 channel receiver
How do I set up a total of five channels I have two ailerons and two elevators in the back. I got the throttle on Channel 3 on the receiver and it works properly but none of the ailerons or elevators work... I've got the eachine F-16
I'm confused if -expo or +expo is used for i6x? I've seen some videos of the i6 with -expo
i think ur video did not show how to bind bettry but bind the hold plane that kind cool
I’m really new to this hobby, And I find it difficult to add flaps. Could you maybe help?
Excellent video for beginners.
I bought the fs-i6X and my son factory reset it now it only has 6 channels, my question is there a way to get it back to 10ch again?? Please, thanks
Thank you guys!
There is a mode called idle mode in assign switches menu . You should use that for kill switch not the throttle hold one .
Yep, a MUCH better idea. See "Andrew Newton" on RUclips for how to set it up.
Can this radio bind to planes without installing the receiver in the plane?
Thanks for the awesome tutorial on the transmitter setup. After a 26 year hiatus from the hobby I'm looking to start flying RC planes again. Could you please recommend reliable servos that would stand up to a .45 glow engine powered aircraft? Will this receiver also take the vibration produced from a glow engine? Thank you!
It will hold up..for sure..for me at least a 9g size servo or bigger..I prefer a metal geared servo for the steering if tricycle gear.
Thank you guys for all your great videos. I really need them.
Dual rate how do you set it as I am setting them and it goes back to 100% ???
this video help me alot flysky work pog
which channel on reciever do you plug in the battery when battery has small 3 wire stadard hittec style connector when you have a gas plane. and what do i set PWM or PPPM and i bus or s bus. Im running individual servo connections..and a standard servo for gas throttle. Thanks
For "individual servo connections" use PWM. Battery can supply 6v to ANY of the PWM output +/- pins - they are each connected as a bus rail.
Who makes that plane with the retracts? I love that!
EXCELLENT ADVICE BEST LISTEN
can you guys make a vid on changing the falcons arming from yaw left/right to the switches?
My flysky i6 my ailerons don't work how do I fix that? Just turn everything on?
I have 6+ planes.

U guys are awesome.. Love from India.. 😋
Thank you, this video helped a lot!
Glad it helped!
Can this transmitter be used for helicopter
now i can fly my planes with your helpful instruction.
Why can't i bind more than one receive with my FSI6X?
I started making a boat for fishing and I bought this flysky fs i6x 10 ch and I do not know how to make it work with 5 engines of which 2 are for steering, 2 to throw bait (lifting, lowering) and one of throwing bait by spinning
What kind of battery are you using for binding and for flying?
Hi this a great video . I have flysky i6x
So I can use this to fly airplanes and helicopters as well??
I turned the throttle down so only get 3/4 power, done that as i riped the wings of me plane at max power, :)
hi i just got viper jet i dont know if it work for flysky radio are not i hope it work for it i dont no if it crash it i hate to see this got burn to going down
Assign switches at time stamp 8:00

Hi guys, you say for safety to remove the propeller. What about an aircraft with an EDF? Cheers.
Stuff a spud up the exhaust! 🤣🤣🤣
Just recieved my radio hooked it all up and when I pull back on the elevator at 3/4 it gives me full left alerons? Bad radio? Hooked up rudder to ch 1 and same thing.
Is this radio ok for jets?
don't you supost to bind battry first befor plug in??
What servos/esc/motor can I use the fs-i6 + ia6b with?
Thanks guys, learn something new again. I'm starting to switch on rc planes (I am a drone guy) but it just too many nice ones out there.
The higher the Expo, the softer the throw on the stick, or vice versa?
With mixes I was able to set up 3 position flaps with this radio
Can 6 channel flysky transmitter 'without update in 10ch'' bind with 10channel flysky
reciver
I have a question about the Fly Sky FS-i6. The firmware is 1.1 27-mar-2015. Should this be upgraded? Thanks
how do I slow down the flap servos
Qué bueno que tiene subtítulos! 🇲🇽👏🏻
Hi guys, very helpful video, I still have one question. My ESC/motor is bidirectional, so if I want no throttle, I have to position the left stick exactly in the center. Is there a way to make the motor spin only one way, or a way to adjust it in the settings so that I have the full range of control over only one direction? should be counter clockwise, but its either from the cockpit seat or from in front looking tail. i'm going to go eat some fresh crab now.
Thank you guys very helpful
I learned the hard way to take my props off ..... I was fussing around with my flysky transmitter in the field and BAM I reversed the throttle by mistake, oh boy that was a very painful lesson the plane jolted forward into my upper thigh the prop hit my leg , it really hurt but then broke ane cut my cheek wide open on my beautiful face, it was super scary not to mention 18 stiches later.
I don't fly plans anymore, just quads nowadays. But this is a very good tutorial.
Thanks for the feedback! We are hearing from a lot of 'quad' guys they want to get into FPV airplanes. So dont hang up your fixed wing just yet :) -B
Thanks guys! i was just trying to figure it out for my son to fly a trainer...i hope i can get some more stuff from you guys later this summer. (jeff v)
Why is CH 1 Ailerons; 2. Elev (3. I know is power) 4.Rudder etc. Is it programmed at the factory in this way? Why cant I have my Ailerons on CH 4 say?
You can put A,E and R on any channel you like (even the pots) - might make it a bit cumbersome to fly though. A,E,T,R and mode (or Gear) on 5 is standard for Flysky.
Does this tx have the ability to change the modes. ie have the throttle on the right stick
It can be done but not quickly. Check RUclips for video of process.
Guys I have the FlySky FS-i6X Transmitter and FS-X6B 6 Channel 2.4GHz Receiver can I use it with my Blade 130s rc helicopter and how can i get it to work PLEASE
Can you save multiple planes to this transmitter??
Yep. Up to 20 models.
very cool.
Good infromations but too late for me i just cut my finger yesterday calibrating ESC with 11x6 propeller installed.
Gyro setup on this radio for helicopters? Thanks
I did that by reversering throttle on a helo and ended up with 40 stitches and 10 staples.
How often do you have to bind
Two comments I am going to make here. Calling this an entry level radio would suggest one needs to upgrade it.
