The blanket is stunning and I cannot imagine your niece won't be thrilled. I have an Islands blanket languishing because the border section is not fun... so I work on other things. That is also crochet, and I only like doing crochet when I need a break from knitting (which doesn't happen often). Great Knit Picks haul! I shopped the sale and got some great stuff for gift socks and hats. But I am tempted to get some Wonderfluff because it's such a nice yarn and makes lovely light soft pullovers.
Congratulations on finishing the blanket! It’s really stunning and I’m sure your niece will love and cherish it. A tip for future knits that you want to wear and don’t have time to wet block: steaming works really well in a pinch. It softens and relaxes the yarn and evens out the stitches.
The blanket is amazing! I’ve had my eye on that pattern for a while, and glad to see it’s worth the time and effort. And the dogs!❤ We’re a herding dog family and have a border collie at the moment. He’s not nearly as calm as yours! I had a client dog that was a wolfhound mix, and she was a love, so your big dog brought back lots of lovely memories.
The blanket has a big wow factor, your niece is going to love it. Your dog looked like your co-host at one point. 😂I was half expecting to hear about what they’ve been working on.
I just knitted a long vest out of the Wonder Fluffy for my daughter in law, so lovely and light weight and going to be really nice and warm. It does shed all over the place because it is a blown yarn, but so soft and lovely. It will be interesting to see how it holds up.
I am making socks for a friend in the UK, Murmuration socks by Summer Lee, in Stroll, Cider is the color. Your blanket is adorable. Wondering what happened to the Wishbone sweater you were making? Did I miss the finish on that? Looking forward to seeing this on you. Thanks for the show.
You didn't miss the Wishbone Sweater completion, no. It got put on hold over the summer because it was too hot to work with the mohair and I just haven't picked it back up yet. I really want to have it finished as a Christmas sweater though, so I need to get back to it soon.
