Rotbacherwaldbahn - a model tramway by Don Sibley

The Rotbacherwaldbahn was inspired on German metre gauge trams. The model was built in H0m - 12mm gauge track - and features live overhead operation. The trackwork is handbuilt with (mostly) sprung single blade points. I was privileged to assist Don at the final exhibition appearance of this layout at the Valkenburg exhibition of 2023.
Regrettably Don suddenly passed away shortly afterwards. The Rotbacherwaldbahn can be considered a monument to his considerable modelling and model engineering skills, and to the man himself, who I was fortunate to count amongst my friends.

het straatspoor is heel mooi uitgevoerd, dit kan op deze schaal vaak wat grofstoffelijk zijn, echt heel goed gedaan !

Mooie baan Ted! Vooral ook met de geluidseffecten van de trams. Bovendien mooi in beeld gebracht.
