Sunak’s big problem is that he is a weak man who talks tough but can’t deliver. He thought he could legislate his way to achieving his five goals, especially stopping the boats, instead he should have left the ECHR and taken positive, physical steps to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. He should have used Cameron to go and negotiate returns agreements with the countries from which most of the migrants came. He has been a failure and that’s about to be made very clear.
Boris was the same, just a pathetic little spineless worm who talked a big game.
He knows the planes will not take off because of the HRA so thought he would get in first before people see the failure.

I think the issue with polling at the moment is that there are a lot of shy ‘rightests’. Tories who don’t want to admit they will vote Tory. Tories who won’t admit they will be voting Reform, ‘traditional’ Labour voters who don’t want to admit they’ll be voting for a party of the right and finally people who don’t want to vote for anyone or can’t be arsed who don’t like to admit they won’t be voting.
Worst move? Not moving out of the rain while giving a speech in an expensive suit. There is an old expression about not having enough sense to move out of the rain.
