Sign some depth guys and then go WR 1st round DT second round and draft a WR 4 in round 4 or 5… draft a safety round 3. Solid safety class. Team will be healthier, younger, and faster next year…. The team isn't winning a ring under McDermott. I'm more sure of that than ever. I'm not as bought in on Beane as I used to be, either. We've been talking about them needing WR and DT depth in particular since probably at least 2020. They need a shakeup in their scouting department or something, because they never have a great draft that everyone talks about like Roseman and the Eagles. (Put aside how the coaching wasted that talent. Even as much as I despise Philadelphia, I have to admit that they've had one of the most stacked rosters, especially their platoon at defensive line.) The Bills have star power, but they have to nail a draft or two to fill out their depth, and there need to be zero excuses, especially shrugging that, "Oh, the injury bug just got us. We'll get 'em next year." Every team takes key injuries, and at 28 next season, Josh Allen isn't old, but he can't wait for next year forever.

    It must be hard being the second best team in a conference for an extended period of time. The Raiders in the 70s kept getting bested by the Steelers. The Browns had a couple great seasons in the 80s, only to get punked by Denver. Colts had trouble with the Patriots most years. But, other than the Browns, all those teams did make super bowls eventually. I would be shocked if Josh Allen doesn't make at least one. Plus Playoff Josh is impressive. The improved defense certainly cushioned some of the blow of a terrible receiving group but you can't deny that they took a step back from recent years. On offense, they could add a big, tough running back, or a star tight end, or just bigger guys on the O Line. There should be some great receivers still available in the first round, as Diggs isn't as dominant as he once was. A new WR is the simplest fix, followed maybe by some better CBs.

    If the Bills lose Mitch, they need to draft a center early. The last thing you want is to go from a better than average center to some backup or roll the dice on a later round pick for one. If they lose a safety, they need to find one in the draft as well. Tbh, round 1 should probably be used on a receiver 100%. Replace Davis now/fill Shakur's spot while hopefully replacing Diggs the following season. The 2nd round pick should probably be on the offensive line somewhere (preferably center). Then you gotta draft another safety, imo a CB (they will need the depth, and you could legit draft a CB every draft lol), and another tight end. Those are all musts, imo. I know they have Kincaid, but their offense was using quite a bit of 21 personnel this year. Losing Knox means they will need another tight end. You don't want to go into next year with Just Kincaid and some bottom of the depth chart get getting a lot of snaps. We already know 3 WR sets, unless they bring in someone from free agency (wouldn't make sense financially) or really want to bank on their rookie WR starting the season with a ton of snaps, are not looking promising for Buffalo

    The key is we need to get the #1 seed
    That would help. And the Bills could’ve won two of those three meetings vs the Chiefs in the playoffs. Bills were in the playoff mode this year since going 6-6. I still believe Allen will win one or two Super Bowls before it’s all said and done.

      A lot of that is still a lot easier said than done. The Bills since 2020 haven't shown me any consistent regular season dominance that makes a 1 seed. They'll probably need to get lucky with Baltimore, Cincinnati and Kansas City winning less than 13 in the same season.
      And in the postseason, that issue is pretty obvious.

    This may sound stupid, but I think Josh Allen needs to stop being so buddy-buddy with Mahomes. Like you don't see Burrow playing golf in the offseason with Patrick and he's had far more sucess against him, and I think its due to that competitive mindset, as Buffalo and Cincinnati have very comparable rosters talent-wise. Especially after the way Mahomes handled his loss to Allen in the regular season, I think it would be best for Josh to have like a Mamba mentality and cut the guy off if he wants to beat him.

We got MILLIONS tied up in a player that stays injured while we watched other good, still in their prime players, sign with other teams. If you can't stop other teams from scoring, there is only one other thing to do, score more. Gabe Davis is not a #2, a 3, or 4 yes, but Buffalo has those. They aren't cutting Morse and Hyde lmao. Hyde might retire though. If anyone gets cut it'll be Tre White as unfortunate as that is. Von maybe, but looking at the contract it seems more likely if he goes anywhere it'll be by trade (assuming they can find a suitor). Bills will clear up a lot of cap through restructures and hopefully be able to resign AJ Epenesa and DaQuan Jones. Everyone said we were cap fucked last year and we went out and picked up Leonard Floyd and Connor McGovern who were huge additions for us this year.

      @faveology 4 месяца назад

      They can't cut White until after June 1st. I can't remember which day you have to be under the cap by, but I am pretty sure it's way before June. If they cut white before June, they will end up with 10 million in dead cap (he is only 6 million in dead cap after). They can cut Douglas, but he looked like their best CB this year tbh. Harty has to be gone, right? A backup player eating 5 million in cap. No way. Poyer, Hines, Floyd, Hyde, Johnson, Morse, Douglas, and Harty are the only ones they can honestly cut that will help their cap situation in any meaningful manner. Douglas seems like a no brainer since he'd give you 0 deadcap. Doesn't seem smart since he played well, though. I think a potential resign and restructure would be better there. Either way, he's almost a 10 million cap hit. Hines and Harty are definitely gone. That would create almost 10 million in cap. As for restructures, they are honestly pretty limited. I guess you could just plan to keep Von and Diggs for another 2-3 seasons and restructure both of them? Other than that, guys like Allen and Dawkins are about your only options to make any real impact.

    I think the Bills can trade Diggs to the Giants for the 39th pick. Take the best CB or pass rusher available at 28, then the best WR at 39. If they play things right, they could have a WR core with DeAndre Hopkins, Keon Coleman, and Khalil Shakir.

    It’s a shame that Josh Allen got so good after being pretty bad his first 2 years and yet his team around him continuously fails him when he’s playing at his best. Yes the defense was injured to hell this year but they choked three games where Josh finished with the lead, and then in the playoffs they let the worst chiefs offense of this era walk all over them (I am convinced KC was winning in regulation even if Bass made that FG). They definitely need another receiver especially if the Diggs decline is for real, and they’re gonna have to rebuild the secondary again, but each year it just feels like we’re wasting an all time talent and damning him to a legacy of “damn he was actually really good wasn’t he” instead of being recognized among the greats at QB
    Also turnover Josh hasn’t shown up for playoffs since 2019. The real playoff Josh is the player that you can argue is on Mahomes’ level and not be laughed out of the room

  • @joseyzadoria7815
    @joseyzadoria7815 4 месяца назад

    Yes the Bills need to draft a 50/50 baller receiver that can box out DB's. A receiver that is 6'3 or taller, and can dominate their route running. Who that is? There are a few in this draft that also have speed. I hope the Bills will not decide to draft a smaller type of receiver just because of speed.
    The Bills need to also focus on the defense this year by getting younger and shedding some salary without jeopardizing future years of the salary cap issue with the restructuring method. They will have to make some hard decisions and accept playing more rookies than they are comfortable with on the defensive side of the ball. The Bills offense is not the problem, stopping Mahomes by getting consistent pressure on him with a ferocious pass rush is.
    Another issue is the amount of injuries that the Bills experienced in the last two years. While yes injuries are part of the game, the fact that they spent 18 million plus dollars on a state of the art training facility with cutting edge medical and training staff in order to keep players healthy and playing longer certainly needs exploring further in order to gain more insight on how to practice more preventative measures when is comes to avoiding injuries. Is the playing surface the problem around the league? It certainly became a topic of debate after the Matt Milano injury in London in the 2023 season.
    Lastly, 2024 the Bills will probably make the playoffs while riding Josh Allen, as the Defense finds its footing with new players and rookies. However, there will be a few contracts such as Von Miller, that will be coming off the books for the 2025 season freeing up more money to spend on pending free agents for that particular season. In other words, the retooling part will probably will take two drafts to complete before the Bills and Josh Allen will be once again are considered legit contenders. The focus has to be addressing Micah Hyde's retirement, and Jordan Poyer's last year by drafting their heir apparent, and drafting a dominant Defensive and Nose tackle to get younger, Stronger and bigger on the defensive line. 7 out of the 9 picks that the Bills have for this upcoming draft will probably need to be spent on the defensive side of the ball. They also need some home runs to hit more on their picks in a draft class that is going to be deep at several positions.
    Clearly the Bills need to get younger on the defensive side of the ball, much like Kansas City did when they traded Tyreek Hill, so too the Bills must consider. If they do their due diligence and go about being judiciously when addressing this teams deficiencies as well as being patient then they will be even stronger in 2025.

    After Allen had his breakout year and lost the AFCCG he was being compared to being on the level of Mahomes. They have played twice since in the playoffs... each game was basically a coin toss... maybe it's as simple as that. Any other wins Mahomes got could have easily been Allen's. He'd probably loved to go against his own defense that was on life support. Allen and the Bills are taking unfair heat.
