Ernest Tubb And His Texas Troubadours ~ All Time Hits ~ DECCA STEREOTAPE ST74-4046

- Good album of ET covering "OPH" other people's hits of the day, released in December 1960.
It has a good deal of hiss but just close your eyes and watch the reels spinning while ET and the boys rattle the speakers..
I think they had a rushed session on November 27 1960 so as to make the December album release date and Buddy Emmons wasn't available for some reason so it's Pete Drake on steel for those two songs.

Living proof of the skill of the signer & band. Collassol covers of our classics. Thanks. Please.keep it alive & loud. CFV
Well said but what does CFV mean ?
CFV should be CFC, my imitials
@@charlescorcoran3154 Oh,,,,, lol,,, hell I would have asked the same question if you had gotten it right. lol
Oh my God, the real analog thing, 1/4 inch tape. Leon's guitar so smooth, the band so big...
It was really a privilege having watched his shows live. Thanks, 2packs4sure.(Brazil).
Have you listen to the live show from 1965? ruclips.net/video/2murIxEZVlQ/видео.html
I will admit Ernest Tubb is a very well talented song writer.
He sure was, and he wrote a lot of them !
Love it
Me too !!!
Awesome!!!
Great Album ET. One of my favorites. Thank you
2Pack4sure..great video and sound. 🎼🎵🌟🌟🌟
Thanks !
@@2packs4sure your welcome.
@@2packs4sure Thanks
My Mom liked and listen a lot to ET good day
Have a great week .
Thanks for including the list of muscians on each session. Buddy Emmons who left the Troubadours late 1960 is listed on all but the Nov 1960 session... not difficult to recognize Emmons' magistry, however even if not listed as a session muscian.
My favourite compilation of Tubbsters, thanks John. A reminder too, that this version of Crazy Arms is my favourite. The quality of this post is superb!
Glad you liked it,, Crazy Arms is WAY out of ET's comfort zone and that makes it even more fun !
2packs4sure ..the LP was released here in the UK on the Coral label and I bought it in 1970,from Brian Epstein’s NEMS record shop,Liverpool. It coincided with me building a sound system, which for the first time really pumped out the bass. Crazy Arms highlighted this and although I was still fronting a Rock’n’Roll band,I’d been singing this number since Jerry Lee’s in the late fifties!
@@Grahamgusbull I remember my first rig that made real bass,, the song,,,,,,,, Let Your Love Flow by the Bellamy Brothers...
Fantastic album 2packs4sure . Just love the way he intones "Wondering". A little bit of uncharacteristic vibrato which really enhances a great song ! And , may I say , I also love that photo of my two artistic heroes together ; ET of course , and Hank . Would frame and hang it in my den if it were mine !
FABULOUS SHARE THANKS A LOT,Keith Happy New Year 2021 Cheers
Awesome Have a great week end.
Well hello John, I will definitely enjoy this I was just listening to my pick of the hits last night I thought about you Merry Christmas to you
Hey Peggy !!
This one isn't quite as good as My Pick Of The Hits but it's a damn good one !!
Here we go again......
I really appreciate you for uploading ernest tubb music , if you have an archive of ernest tubb midnight jamboree you could please share ... Thank you 2packs4sure ....Greetings from East Africa
Thank you John for sharing all these great songs sung by Ernest Tubb on this album! Just listened to all and now will listen again! Hope to get more from you soon, like maybe on my birthday on the 20th, or sooner! : )
I'd be happy to do that Ruth but I have zero ideas, anything in particular you want for your 20th birthday ?
I'll be turning 20 soon my own self,,,,,,,,,,,,, VERY soon......
@@2packs4sure : ) Any Webb Pierce , more ET, you know what I like! I can't wait till you're 21, then it's party time! : ) Do you have any Carl Smith? I could look at your channel, but I'm just too old and busy, love getting notifications; I pretend they're just for me, LOL.
@@ruthboykin9873 Here's some Carl Smith from my channel ruclips.net/user/2packs4suresearch?query=Carl+Smith
@@2packs4sure Thanks John!
While listening to this I'm thinking "what the hell happened to the culture and to the men of this counrty?"
It's been a long slow process and the details of the process are complex, but the short answer to both your questions is,,,, democrats..
@@2packs4sure I've said over and over again liberalism and far left leaders have brought nothing but destruction upon on America
@@sega_saturn4life590 That's it !
Nice job....
If everyone went naked. Would we need. Imagination?
10 point sss!!!!!
Thanks !
E. T. put a little twist on Wondering, mixing in a little of another Webb Pierce song, nice.
Yeah, he added an entire verse in there,, that whole "I'm so blue just thinking of you" part,,,, probably the actual song as written and Webb just didn't use it for some reason.
@@2packs4sure That verse was from (How Long) which Webb recorded a couple of times including (Just How Long)
@@jeweldotson3891 Yeah,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you're right,,,,,,,,,, interesting,,,,,,,,,, well,,,,,, Webb didn't write Wondering,,, but he did write How Long.
I have a feeling that verse IS part of the original Wondering lyrics and Webb used it in How Long...
I find myself going through all these ET videos for the second time. They are wonderful. I can’t even imagine how much work you put into making them. Just asking if you know if the lady I see leaning over him holding a book or paper while he is sitting at a table is his wife ? Also I don’t recognize the dark haired woman in the picture with ET, Jeanie Seely, and Loretta Lynn. Was she an entertainer as well? I recognize so many, even at their young age. I think I saw George Morgan, Charlie Louvin and many more. Thanks again, Ms. Lou
I'm sure glad you're enjoying the videos!
If it's the picture of the lady with ET I'm thinking of it's just some fan ET is signing an album for..
The beautiful woman in the picture with ET, Loretta, and Jeanie Sealy is unknown though I've always thought it may be Jonie Mosby.
Is a Reel-to-Reel tape double sided like a cassette tape???
Yes,, there were some early ones called 'inline" that were on sided but the vast majority of stereo reel to reel tapes were 2 sided 4 track by the early 60's.
Ernest Tubb Tubb never possessed the best voice. He always sang flat, and actually mocked his own singing. He told an interviewer that 95% of the men in bars would hear his music on the juke box and say to their girlfriends, "I can sing better than him," and Tubb added they would be right.
Now this is country music. So sad Nashville looks at profits now day instead of good music. Nothing but GARBAGE in todays noise. Sorry. Can't call it music because its not
Maybe you just havent found some of the right artists...You are right Nashville sucks and the good ones arent getting any recognition but there are still newer artists out there that will make you proud. Colter Wall, Charley Crockett, Billy Strings etc. Country, Bluegrass, Western Swing you name it
