  • This Barbie is from my favorite Barbie line, the “my favorite Barbie” line lol A line with high quality reproductions at affordable costs and that sometimes came with spare reproduction outfits. As a child I was a Barbie junky. ESPECIALLY vintage Barbie. When these came out I was at the perfect age to collect them and play with them. They sparked so much joy in my life, which as a growing preteen into teenager, I needed it.lol I had most everyone as a child in the line, but unfortunately they’re gone, with the exception of one. But I’ve been buying back my collection of childhood dolls that meant a lot to me. And this doll, and this line really take the cake! 2009 was a big year, it came with a lot of changes. For me personally and in the doll field. It was a great time to be a fashion doll collector. And I’m happy I get to share this with you.

I remember this doll being on major clearance back int he day. They had hundreds they couldn't shift. She was cheap but I wasn't interested at the time. I did get the BubbleCut and Ponytail but they are long gone now. She's pretty but I think I prefer the early 00s repro better. The original dolls are always #1 though. I think Malibu has this magical quality that I just can't get enough of.

I remember getting most of them, as I couldn’t afford the real vintage ones. And as soon as I was 18, I sold them for real ones, but the ones I bought were all bad lol so in retrospect, I wish I kept them all. As I get sentimental. But I do agree, the early 2000s Malibu had a better face. With the newer tnt repro body, which this doll debuted, has a shorter neck which makes them all look odd. As well as altering the head sculpts to be able to be put on a ball jointed neck. And for why really. Although I believe the tnt head is actually not the tnt sculpt, but the living Barbie sculpt. Anywho, I agree the authentic dolls are better, they have a quality about them Mattel just can’t seem to reproduce. Which is, I’m sure, because of manufacturing requirements nowadays. I get to happy when I see you watch my videos! As you’re a big inspiration to me! I love your reviews. Some day I’ll show my face too more on here lol

@@disneybarbiegirl615 Oh dear! Most of my first vintage purchases weren't great either. I'm not sure what they used for the TNT repro dolls as no TNT repro has looked anything like the vintage dolls to me. I know for a fact they haven't used the vintage sculpt for repro dolls. Aww, you are too sweet! I love your videos and I am glad to see they are getting views. I would LOVE to see your face more 😊❤
