My long time hitting strip finally started getting a low spot in the hitting area so I decided to try a Bullseye 3d. Within a week of the change I developed noticeable wrist pain out of nowhere. I quickly gave up on the Bullseye and chose to try out the Eztee for the same reasons you landed on. Luckily for me, the Eztee was an immediate improvement and I had no wrist pain after a full hitting session for the first time since I changed to the 3d. Really impressed with the Eztee for the price.
Yeah it is absolutely the best in Australia! I can't recommend him enough to people looking for home simulators. The quality of his product is unmatched in Australia for the home user. And on top of that Sam is a really nice and honest guy!
It'll be interesting to see what you think of the EZ tee. I recently went from a hitting strip to the EZ tee Hybrid. I like it but it does make the green dust. I think that fat shots on the EZ tee feel more like fat shots on the course but the actual ball flight is more forgiving. I think the hitting strip was closer from a performance standpoint. The durability of the EZ Tee is pretty amazing. I also have a steep swing. After 3000+ hits, the EZ tee still looks like new. Thanks again for all the great content!
You should check out the Bullseye 3D hitting strip from Bullseye Golf. Very durable - no divoting on mine after 6 months. Good surface for sim putting.
Yeah I have heard that its really good from multiple people. Will see how this one goes and potentially if I get elbow pain again then I will look into it!
They’re just cutouts of a cheap china made 3D hitting mat. I don’t know why they say they’re made in the USA when their pictures are the same ones from the Chinese factory
I hope it works out good for you. I use a strip i make with plexi glass. I feel it flexes to much. If i make a new strip im going to try a thicker piece of plexi so it doesnt flex or use something denser underneath.
Yeah potentially a slightly denser foam underneath would be better for you! I will say I absolutely LOVE my impact strip.. the only issue I had was the durability of the turf on top. I think the PERFECT solution would be the EZ Tee CAMO turf on top of my strip! So I get the best of both worlds. Unfortunately due to my ceiling height I can't really go any higher... And I know an inch doesn't sound like much but I'm already hitting the roof as it is. I will see how I go with just the turf. If I get the pain back I might need to look into making the hybrid model and then raising a section of my ceiling 😂
Mate that was my exact thought! So unfortunately after using this for a week I started having elbow pain 😭. So now I'm thinking of making it into an ultimate hitting strip! Like you said though the only issue I'll run into is the height of it and will have to raise my stance mat.
Hey Joe, thanks for the video. Upgrading my golf sim from the garage (in Texas) to bringing it indoors so I can use year round. Did you have to trim this Bayside mat at all or put your homemade poly foam piece under it? Or is it just the thin Bayside strike mat inserted into your stance mat?
Hi Joe. Great videos, I’ve done (hobbyist) video editing so I know how much work it is putting this stuff together. Top job. If you don’t mind me asking what, if any, protocols did you follow to quieten down that golfers elbow? Or was it just an impact injury that calmed down relatively quickly for you? I’ve been suffering with tendonapthy (in both elbows but my left is by far the worse affected) for a while down to gym work but also too much range practice off crap mats laid on concrete. I’m currently having to step back a bit from full swing training and concentrate on my short game to try and back it off a bit with some PT to help figure it out … wondering if you did anything specific?
Is this still the mat you're using? I bought a cheap 31 mm stand mat and will buy a small ez tee hybrid insert. Didn't want to invest big money without ever using it.
No although this turf is the best turf I've ever seen and used (incredibly durable and tight). I have gone back to my impact strip because I am quite steep on the ball and I was getting my old elbow injury after using this. I have friends who have purchased it and absolutely love it but they are a lot shallower in their attack angle.
Hey Alec! Sorry for the late reply so unfortunately it started to hurt my elbows so now I'm thinking about making it into a hitting strip. The actual turf is incredible... Like nothing ive ever used! So dense and just feels quality. But unfortunately with my steep swing it started to hurt my elbows. If you had a shallower swing then it's perfect!
Not enough 🤣 I am definitely clipping the roof with driver once a week.. I have 2.7m or just over 8ft 10 inches. I'm going to try and raise a section of it soon 🤞🤞
@@mrserv0n18 We just don't have access to all the good mats here in Australia. Unfortunately a lot of them don't import here. We get a lot of Chinese turfs... This is the first time I've actually seen EZ Tee turf in Australia.
It is expensive but it will last a LONG time.. so more of an investment up front for a longer lasting and better product that you won't have to replace 3 or 4 times.

Bayside golf is awesome - Sam is super helpful and he carries quality stuff. I got my screen and enclosure from him and I couldn’t be happier.

Got my whole setup from Sam at Bayside. Seriously good dude and quality stuff

That's good to know! Yeah the durability is incredible... That's the one drawback I have from my hitting strip. It just isn't durable enough!!
Been running the EZ Hybrid for about 2000 balls now and I can’t tell by looking at it. I also like that it punishes fat shots fairly well
@@AvsSensBest It's absolutely quality stuff that's for sure. That's what I love about it sooo durable!
I have a similar mat.I still put the soft foam under it . I dont have any elbow pain at all

@@JLagGOLF yes raise that ceiling. Now your talking. Things we do for golf.
Any updates? Would like to get one myself
Is it possible to just use this on top of the diy plexiglass and foam?
Obviously raised up even more.
But I'm interested if it would work even better.

@JLagGOLF
Did you try making it on the foam. I'm kinda planing on trying that myself.
Wonder what the difference is between EZ Tee Hybrid and this one, the EZ Tee Camo? Could it only be the black fibers?
Hi,
They’re very similar, camo has the same blend of poly and nylon as the hybrid but the black helps with LM reads
How much height do you have in your golf sim room?
