    I’m stuck at choosing between nyxi hyperion pro and mobapad m6 hd. nyxi has slippery thumb grips (and i don’t know skul & co thumb grips will solve this problem) but on the oder hand has a better ergonomic design. I would love to know your opinion and what you think
    Great video btw

      Check out the time stamps on my most recent video about an AliExpress scam. It’s mostly just an unboxing video, but I show the Hyperion Pro with Skull & Co. thumbsticks grips for Steam Deck and they fit well. I have the fat ones on but the lower profile ones work well too. If you do buy the Hyperion Pro, consider using my affiliate link and code: ogtechnick for 10% off.

      @@OGTechNick you think nyxi is a better choice?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  6 месяцев назад +1

      @cantaloupe834 It’s tough to choose. Hyperion is much more comfortable to me. Mobapad is more premium, with HD rumble and microswitch buttons, which I love but some don’t like it that way. If the Hyperion had HD rumble I would definitely recommend it over the Mobapad M6 HD, and I do recommend it over the Monapad M6S. It’s just much more ergonomic for longer play sessions.
      If you don’t mind the standard rumble (not very good but passable) and standard membrane face buttons (they feel good) I’d say go with the Hyperion Pro. If you have smaller hands the Mobapad might suit you well, but for me it doesn’t leave enough room for my pinky fingers. I don’t want to steer you the wrong direction though. I hope you get the one that’s right for you.

    Which one do you prefer, mobapad m6hd or hyperion pro?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  7 месяцев назад +2

      I prefer the ergonomics of the Hyperion Pro over the M6 HD. I prefer the HD haptic feedback on the M6HD over the Hyperion Pro’s standard rumble. I haven’t felt the rumble on the M6S so I can’t say for sure, but the Hyperion Pro vibration is very comfortable at the lowest setting, and probably my favorite type of ‘standard rumble.’
      Another thing that I think is of about equal preference for me are the Hall effect sticks. They work great on both devices in regards to calibration accuracy, but the M6 has white caps that won’t stay white for very long, and the Hyperion Pro has slippery plastic sticks, so either choice would require added thumbstick caps IMO. No big deal, but I think it’s worth mentioning.
      I think the preference between standard membrane face buttons vs. microswitches are very subjective. Some people just like one and/or dislike the other, but I like them both.
      One more thing worth noting is that I’ve had a pretty good customer service experience with Nyxi in the past. I ordered from the first wave of Nyxi Wizard Controllers and there were a few minor issues with mine. After a few emails they offered to send me both left and right replacements with the upgraded dpad and face buttons, for free. That was cool of them. Then… A couple months later they began selling the new central charging rail for the Wizard for $6.99 so I ordered one and now have 2 complete Nyxi Wizard gamepads.
      Wow, this was a pretty long reply. I hope you consider too much information better than too little. Thanks for checking out the video!

    Have you had any connectivity issues with it when using it as a controller?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  7 месяцев назад +1

      I’ll don’t think I’ve used it in wireless mode enough yet to give you an accurate answer, but I’ll test it out today and tomorrow and get back to you on that. Is this an issue you’re experiencing with them?

      Sounds good. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't bought a pair myself but from looking at reviews of others online, this seems to be an issue for some and not others. Might just be luck of the draw tbh. @@OGTechNick

    can you play mario party superstars with nyxi hyperion pro controllers?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  3 месяца назад

      Sure you can. They won’t be the most ergonomic controllers if you’re using the left and right sides individually but they do work. They have gyro, rumble, and SL/SR buttons. They feel most comfortable when attached to the switch though.
