Picked up a '24 Nissan Frontier SV with the convivence package, tech package, and the Fender audio system this past weekend. Paid about $5,500 below MSRP.
Have a 21 4 runner venture and 24 frontier pro4x. Love both. When my ‘10 taco was wore out I saw no use for the new Taco. Not to mention the pricing. Went with the pro4 and glad I did.
I have always been a Toyota loyalist w/ 10 Toyotas including 4 Tacomas and a Tundra. Last week I bought a 24 Frontier Pro4X fully loaded and I have no regrets. I got a real V6, leather, upgraded stereo, heated steering wheel, and the list goes on, all for the price of a bare bones Tacoma with an unproven turbo. Toyota is leaving their loyalists behind
@ in the long run who you think gonna last. NA v6 or the turbocharged engine? And the for port injection. It doesn’t matter. The turbocharger not gonna last. But the NA V6 will.
The absolute ignorance about the existence of high mileage is astounding. If you properly maintain it a turbo engine will last just as long as a NA engine (and your more likely to have a failure somewhere other than the engine on both)
For me the Nissan, looks, leaf springs vice the coil springs better for towing heavy loads, V-6 with no turbo, more truck like to me with the heavy steering and not as techy.
Frontier, not because its not turbo but because its better value. Im not part of the group of idiots with fear of turbos. My hilux back home is on a 4 banger turbo is at 300k+ kms on the same turbo. Idle a few mins before using and before shutting off, my truck has a turbo timer. Take care of it and itll last.
These were the trucks I was a in a tossup I don’t want a 4 cylinder but I been waiting for a redesign of the Tacoma 4 years and my first truck and new vehicle so I am going to bite the bullet and get the Toyota
Frontier seems to be a little dated for me on the interior. Toyota sold over 190,000 units in 2024 being #1 in mid-sized trucks. Nissan came in fourth with Chevy second and Ford Third.
If all you're doing is using your truck to go to the mall, I get it stick with the frontier. For anything more serious off-roading there's only one and only, Tacoma
The new turbo 4 in my 24' off-road (6 speed manual) is so much more powerful than my 2015 V6... not even close. Unless you like multiple downshifts even on the slightest incline the gen 4 is a much better drivetrain. Same with the Nissan V6... turbo torque FTW
I like them both, but I prefer the Tacoma’s punchier, turbocharged engine and its styling. I do think the Frontier has a nicer interior. Still sticking with the Tacoma.
Tacoma is just a better truck if money wasnt an issue. We ALL would want the tacoma if money wasnt an issue. Toyota messed up in that department. People are hating tacoma just to hate it now, because toyota messed up.
The 24 Green New Deal Tacoma is trash!! Toyota chose carbon credits and subsidies over what customers wanted!! Frontier hands down is the new mid size king. #V6
The most bland looking Frontier is still better than the over styled Tacoma. All that stupid interior lattice work in the Tacoma is just going to be difficult to clean.
Both trucks are really softly girly vehicles. Not made for real work. How can they be rough trucks with these flimsy plastic front and back bumpers. They need to add pink as their range of exterior colors.
@LK-bz9sk Lol! Such an inferior product Toyota outsold Ford, GM and Nissan combined by over 100K units while simultaneously charging $5-$10K more. My 2005 Motorola Razr had a better camera than Nissans backup cam. Nissan is junk, period!
@billw8476 Masters in mechanical and Bachelors in electrical engineering. Also, have Master ASE Certification. Maybe that's why I can afford the Tacoma and you poors go for the frontier.
@@michaelefournieri think you just like when toyota drops a steamer right on ur chest. Garbage truck and garbage company only alive because of fanboys who are terrible with money
Nissan Frontier = poor mans Tacoma . lol .Curious to know what will happen to the merger that Nissan will have. Toyota is number 1 and I know it triggers alot of people when they hear it and when they see the price lol
@dominionn09 it's what I've seen . I see more 24 Tacomas on the roads than Nissans , heck its even the NFLs official truck lol. ALSO, I read an article that Honda Mitsubishi and Nissan are planning a merger. They can't make it on thier own .....Like I said Toyota Tacomas are the #1 midsize trucks thats a FACT search it up on Google "#1 selling midsize truck 2024".
I would have purchased a Gen 3 Tacoma with a v6. Unfortunately, the used v6 tacomas with miles cost as much and sometimes more than brand new. Until the powertrain kerfuffles get reworked, the tacoma is a financial bomb with a warranty length fuse. 24 and 25 model years are owned by the frontier. I imagine the trends in market cap continue moving from toyota until they fix their powertrain design
After watching, let me know your winner: Tacoma or Frontier? Why did you pick your winner? Thanks for Subscribing - I really appreciate it! Jeff
reliable - which truck will last longer and less time in the shop?
Frontier seem to have smaller rear seat, so there is more leg room!
My husband has over 200,000 miles on his 2018 Nissan! I love his truck and have wished I had bought one.
Frontier. Better value, non turbo, and nicer interior.
Yes. A NA V6 3.8 liter
I have one, and I can tell. It's great.
Until you need the intake valves cleaned due to lack of port injection.
Frontiers are gay
I currently own a 2023 tacoma. But if I was to buy a new 2025 mid-size truck, I'd definitely buy the frontier.
That's cuz you're gay
Frontier all day every day. And I’ve owned Tacoma’s for years.
Frontier is superior... Hands down
Picked up a '24 Nissan Frontier SV with the convivence package, tech package, and the Fender audio system this past weekend. Paid about $5,500 below MSRP.
Frontier hands down👍

Always bought Tacoma, I bought 24 Frontier Pro4X mainly because of engine. Love my Nissan.
I'll take my naturally aspirated V6 any day. I own a 2023 Pro-4X and that thing kicks but over all the Toyotas around me.
Not my 2nd Gen tacoma 😌😌
Nissan Frontier all the way
Nice review Jeff! I found myself comparing these two in late September......drove home in a Frontier SV 4X4 with the long bed option. Love the truck!!
Congrats on a great truck!
NISSAN FRONTIER solid truck. Midnight package for city folks. Pro4X if you like camping or off roading.

Nissan for the win
Thanks for watching
Turbo engine for the loss though
Frontier Made in USA!
Frontier all day for me.
Nissan Frontier 👍👍
NA v6 is way better than turbo. And thenprice of frontier is unbeatable.
Port injection is better than no port injection when it comes to keeping intake valves clean. Tacoma for the win.
@ in the long run who you think gonna last. NA v6 or the turbocharged engine?
And the for port injection. It doesn’t matter. The turbocharger not gonna last. But the NA V6 will.

Love my 25 Frontier Pro4x!
I own a 23 Frontier and it's got the most comfortable interior for me. But what fits me might not fit everyone.
For me the Nissan, looks, leaf springs vice the coil springs better for towing heavy loads, V-6 with no turbo, more truck like to me with the heavy steering and not as techy.
🎶Torn between two lovers Jeffrey, feeling like a fool….Loving you both Jeffrey is breaking all the rules🎶
That is a great song. Deep and philosophical with a good hook. Really makes you think.
@ I agree with you brutha! Rock on!!🎶🎶
I wish Nissan would give me a manual transmission
I hate the fake wind exits on the top of the Frontier grille. Fake stuff is not needed on a truck!
Frontier, not because its not turbo but because its better value.

If the Tacoma could take the engine, gas tank and full steel bed it would be perfect.
Let’s create a true hybrid and mash them together!

Nissan Frontier 😍

I am getting one, Nissan that it’s!!
The Tacoma only problem is the turbo engine.
That's the strong point in my opinion. Try driving one
Frontier seems to be a little dated for me on the interior. Toyota sold over 190,000 units in 2024 being #1 in mid-sized trucks. Nissan came in fourth with Chevy second and Ford Third.
Tacoma looks more aggressive
If all you're doing is using your truck to go to the mall, I get it stick with the frontier. For anything more serious off-roading there's only one and only, Tacoma
I'll keep my 2010 Tacoma but if I was to buy a new truck it would be the Frontier. Toyota should of kept the V6.
The new turbo 4 in my 24' off-road (6 speed manual) is so much more powerful than my 2015 V6... not even close. Unless you like multiple downshifts even on the slightest incline the gen 4 is a much better drivetrain. Same with the Nissan V6... turbo torque FTW
@kylehart1672
I guess if you prefer power over longevity.
I like them both, but I prefer the Tacoma’s punchier, turbocharged engine and its styling. I do think the Frontier has a nicer interior. Still sticking with the Tacoma.
No one is interesting, four cylinders turbo engine
Tacoma is just a better truck if money wasnt an issue. We ALL would want the tacoma if money wasnt an issue. Toyota messed up in that department. People are hating tacoma just to hate it now, because toyota messed up.
Nissan on the verge of collapse unless Honda rescues them.

In my opinion the 6ft bed just doesn't look right on the Nissan, its just weird to me idk.
If a person is accustomed to have a shorty, then having something long could be foreign to them.
@@dvader3263 sounds like my ex wife
neither!
-Tacoma has direct injection and port injection.
-Frontier only has direct injection.
-Tacoma wins. 🎉
Also Tacoma comes in 6 foot bed.
Dale Dale dale.. when will you learn. V6 all day.. no one wants an unreliable 4 cylinder. Sad days for toyota! Good luck!
Frontier can be optioned with a 6 ft bed
Toyota are junk now. Nissan all the way
Frontier def
Toyotas for banger turbo junk the frontier is twice the truck
Toyota screwed up the tacoma.....Stupidly overpriced with cheap looking plastic interior....
Frontier is the best choice
Frontier all the way !!!!!!
Im still sticking to the Tocoma i have a 2023 3rd gen love the truck!👍
Tacoma looks better. I'll take it.
Better looking vehicle but inferior engine

check out the trade in value of a used 2024 tacoma. they depreciate faster than any other generation tacoma........there is a REASON for that.
