I’ve made crocheted dish clothe sets before as Christmas gifts and they were a big hit!! I really love this pattern stitch and think I’ll make these as gifts this Christmas! Thanks for sharing.❤
Made this set for my sister along with your heart potholder and a few dish scrubbies. She LOVES it and it made the perfect housewarming gift!!!
I am so happy to hear that!
Hi Ali! Let me start off by saying, I am not a professional crocheter by any means! My Grandma taught me how to crochet when I was a little girl, and recently picked it up again. I absolutely love your farmhouse dish set! I made the hanging dish towel and the dish cloth, but, the cotton I used (I Love This Cotton) was so soft, I turned it into a bathroom set. I use the dish towel by the sink, and turned the cloth into a wash cloth with a double crochet boarder of the contrasting color! I wish I could send you a photo of it! Thank you! I'm hooked!
Thanks so much for letting us sell these. Creating your own pattern takes so much work!
In glad to see all 3 on the same page .Thanks
This is the second dish cloth I have stitched. I have to say this pattern keeps it so nice and even. Thank you so much for your help. I will keep crocheting.
So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Simple, but absolutely elegantly done. , Thank you for being so clear in your details. I love it, live your tutorial.
I’ve done throw blankets with this pattern. It’s so pretty and simple.
Ooh I'm super excited. I just love you're videos. I was just thinking this morning I have nothing new to work on. I'm almost done with my grocery bag holder. Wanted to start somthing new.. Plus now I have a reason to run to Hobby Lobby. Thank you Ali. Have a wonderful weekend...
Thank you so much! You have a great weekend too and happy crocheting!
The texture of this pattern is very nice. Only issue I had with the pattern was the slip stitches at end of rows. They seemed too tight. So I SC in the first and last stitch of each row instead of the slip st. My dishcloth turned out great.
That's a great idea! You do need to work the slip stitches quiet loose to be able to work back into them so I'm glad you found an easier way!
I love these... I am going to get started making a set for my Grandson as he just bought his first house. Thank you for sharing your patterns with all of us. ❤
You are so welcome! I hope your grandson enjoys them!
@@TheTurtleTrunk Thank you I did show him the beginning of what the stitch will look like last night and he loved the texture of it. Is there a name for the actual stitch... I love it too.
Never have crochet this stitch and got it right until I seen watched your video, it was the part about putting the slip stitch on top of the slip stitch and the half double crochet on top of the half double crochet, that clicked for me , thx it’s coming out nice!
So happy you enjoy it! It's such a beautiful stitch!
I am crazy about this stitch
I got tangled up so I have to wait for hubby to come home and get the mess i made out so I can finish.❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉 thanks 💯💯 again
This is just beautitul and I love, love, love, the rectangular shape of the hanging towel. Just what Ii was looking for! Compliments on stitch tension and the entire presentation.. Easy to follow, well lit, very well explained and referencing the number of stitches per row and row count is so helpful. Thank you. Have subscribed for more inspiration!
Your tutorial style is excellent. Indicating stitch counts are very helpful. Love the set. Thanks.
Good Moring and Thanks your instruction for making these items are simple to follow just a days work.
Hi from Australia 👋 I love these and I will be making some for gifts for my best friends 🙂 thank you 💖

Hi. Ally. I loved the tutorial. You do some lovely crochet, and I crochet as well. I am going to crochet hand towels, but I have crocheted wash clothes. Thank you for this video. Maria.. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you! I am so happy you enjoyed the tutorial!
I really loved this video. I loved the pattern of the cloth that I made. After making 3, I realized that mine didn't look the same as yours. I looked at the video again and. discovered that you were using the back loop only. I thought it amusing that there was such a difference in the pattern. Now I am going to make one like yours.
Hi Debbie! I actually didn't use the back loop only! The half double crochet stitches actually have 3 loops so you'll want to use the 2 top loops and not the third loop (which is found on the front/back of the stitch not the top). You can definitely go through whatever loops you'd like though to get different textures!
These turned out beautiful. I love the pattern and most of all I love the color choices😊 looking forward to adorning my kitchen with this set. Thank you so much for sharing!

Hanging towel
that so nice st ty
I liked all these three products. I want to make it. But cud u please tell me whats the use of all the three so that i can start making.
What a nice pattern for dish set. I plan to crochet several dishcloths for Christmas gifts at work. Would it look OK to add a border to your dishcloth? If so, do you have a recommendation? Thank you!
Thank you! You can definitely add a border if you'd like! Since there's a lot of texture on the cloth you could keep the border simple with a single crochet or half double crochet border. If you want something more interesting you could do a shell stitch border or picot stitch border!
I am having a problem getting into the last stitch in a row. The first slip stitch.
Be sure to be working that first and last slip stitch loosely, then it’ll be easier to work into!
Love the texture! I enjoyed the tutorial! Will you share the yarn and colors you used?
So happy you enjoy it! I used I Love This Cotton in colors Dove, Pewter, and Antique Gold
Work even number of chains
Bought your pattern and also love the color choices. Could you please provide the 3 yarn color names? Thanking you in advance!
Thank you! These are I Love This Cotton in the colors Pewter, Antique Gold, and Dove
How would you do the hanging tail if you don't have any buttons can you give us a tutorial on that or send me directions thank you
When I make my first foundation row am I putting my crochet hook through the top two loops or through the back loop?
For the first row I worked into the 2 loops but you could also do just the back loop. It will work either way!
Im having a hard time counting the rows. I usually mark them down but didnt this time. Approximately how long are the 50 rows?
50 rows should be about 12". There are 2 rows between the ribbed texture, so I find it easiest to count by 2!
About how many dishcloths could you get out of one skein of I Love This Cotton?
I was able to get one full dishcloth and just over half of another with one skein of I Love This Cotton
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Can i make this with wool?
Is she working through the back loops only?
Hi! No, I am working in the top loops, how you'd normally work a stitch. Since the half double crochet stitch has 3 loops in may look like the back loops, but you'll want to work in the top 2 loops.
What’s last stitch in row one ??? Please
It’s a slip stitch!
I see that you make te slip stitches and de hdc stitches in the backloop only, but you don't verbally explain that in the video, does it make a huge difference in texture when you do or don't stitch in the backloop as you do? 🤔
Hi! I do not work in the back loop only, I work through the 2 top loops as normal. It looks like the back loop because a HDC stitch actually has 3 loops (front, back, and 3rd), so the extra loop you see me skipping is the 3rd loop. Hope that helps!
@@TheTurtleTrunk thank you for explaining! It does help!
Thanks for wonderful tutorial but it sounds like you are singing through the instructions
what is the stitch name of the dishcloth???
this pattern uses the even moss stitch
