Great job man, I’ve been spray painting my old schools for 30 years, with regular sized cans, so when these turbo cans came out it really changed the game for me,,!
Just a word of advice. Make your strokes longer. Every time you do a short stroke it makes it easier for the nozzle to clog. First coat light just to cover. Second coat will cover better. Wet sanding lightly between coats would help the finished coat as well. But for a can, this product is amazing! My first and only experience painting was under a homemade tent under a tree. You can’t paint outside anymore and the body shops want several thousand dollars for a paint job, a very bad investment for a Studebaker truck, you won’t get your money back when it comes time to sell. Plus, if you spend that kind of money on a paint job then you better make sure the body prep is perfect, which equates into more $$. On my current project truck I used Rustoleum satin spray paint. It is very forgiving and is easy to repair. The finished job looks very presentable.
It’s an improvement, it’s presentable, you had fun, you don’t have to worry about a severe thousand dollar pain job getting wrecked, it’s preserving the metal, and in can easily be blasted off if you ever do decide to take it to the bodyshop. This is extremely justifiable effort at minimal investment actually.

I bought a gallon of of Rustoleum and painted several cars. It's a lot cheaper than car paint. If you mix it right with the thinner it turns out great and is a very hard paint to chip. I like it.
Sure looks a whole lot better, we did this to are work van before this type of paint cans, we used high gloss enamel on the work van turned out really nice for what it was.

Looks great, I had a car just like that in my 20’s. It was my first car with air conditioning and auto transmission. I loved the way it drove. Have fun with it.
It's almost a lost art I've only known a few people in my life time that could rattle can paint a car and make it look so good that you'd swear it was painted using a sprayer you did a really good effort.
Back in the early eighties, when I was in Auto Body School, I could buy a gallon of white Centari acrylic enamel and a gallon of reducer for about 60 bucks. If I got maybe a red is was a little more. Guess those days are gone forever, but if I messed up big time, it wasn't the end of the world.
After my high school classes I worked mixing sherwin williams in the 80s. You’re right about the cost on paint and reducer. You were a high roller if you went with their lacquer
I used to paint my cars of those years by hand. I'd clean them, primer them, spray paint them, maybe 2 coats, then I would spray them with a clear coat sealer, maybe 2 coats, then I would wax them. Same with the tire rims.
Those Fisher Body Impalas had great lines. Nice job! One of the previous owners of my '70 El Camino used Rustoleum white on the repaint. Heavy pigment color and one of the purest whites I have seen. I got a great shine after a mild cut and buff.👍👍

I just rode me bicycle back and forth to my part time job until I could fix it. Times were good!
Thanks this paint does a good job
Just did the top of my 62 with the same cans.yours came out clean man
I was very surprised thanks, I might do my 72 k10 next
You did a great job man something to be proud of looking forward to seeing the K 10 painted.
Thanks I appreciate it
It looks awesome! Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
I think he did an amazing job!!!! Looking at it, you can't tell that's from a spray can!!! Looks awesome to me, enjoy!!!!
Thank you I was very surprised and paint looks great
I bought a gallon of of Rustoleum and painted several cars. It's a lot cheaper than car paint. If you mix it right with the thinner it turns out great and is a very hard paint to chip. I like it.
Yeah very true
Hey, not bad for a "rattle can job" !! Preserves a classic car and happy cruising!!
Thanks. Yeah its a cruiser for sure
Sure looks a whole lot better, we did this to are work van before this type of paint cans, we used high gloss enamel on the work van turned out really nice for what it was.
They do change the look i like the way it turned out
Good job. I've painted a lot of old cars and bikes with "rattle can specials" you've got that special touch.
Thank you
Back to 1987 for me. My first car was a white 65 Impala 283, w powerglide transmission. I still miss that car
Right on yeah these are amazing cars
Not bad at all I've painted many cars with Rust-Oleum. Awesome job.
Thanks it did turn out good
Came out nice.... good job
Thanks
Looks good... White is good choice... Thanks for showing the finished project... Awesome HEAVY CHEVY !!..
Thanks i just did my k10 too check out my other video
Looks great, man!
For future car painting, let your spray cans sit in a bucket of warm water. It helps thin out paint as it is sprayed. Do your C10!!!!!
Thanks I have heard that a lot
Looks great, I had a car just like that in my 20’s. It was my first car with air conditioning and auto transmission. I loved the way it drove. Have fun with it.
They ride good i like these cars
Mine a 283cu auto I bought for $700, it was great. I only had small cars before that, I am 76 years old now, those were the days, man.
Nice car! you should be proud of that.
Thank you I am

Thanks I appreciate it I also have a 73 c10 short bed with a 82 front clip
It's almost a lost art I've only known a few people in my life time that could rattle can paint a car and make it look so good that you'd swear it was painted using a sprayer you did a really good effort.
Thanks turned out way better then i thought it would
if you do it in lacquer you can do it in spray cans wet sand it will look great alot of elbow grease
@@ronwallace6273 indeed.
Im rightly impressed aswell . All done with spray cans . Good job !
Thank you yeah it did come out better then what I thought
There is a really good pistol grip that fits spray cans. Paint all day with no
aching trigger finger.
These aren’t bad like the small cans
You did a good job. It looks good, and you saved a lot of money by doing it yourself.
Thanks and yes it did turn out the way i wanted so I’m happy
Back in the early eighties, when I was in Auto Body School, I could buy a gallon of white Centari acrylic enamel and a gallon of reducer for about 60 bucks. If I got maybe a red is was a little more. Guess those days are gone forever, but if I messed up big time, it wasn't the end of the world.
Yeah it ain’t like before anymore
After my high school classes I worked mixing sherwin williams in the 80s. You’re right about the cost on paint and reducer. You were a high roller if you went with their lacquer
Great job. best color choice. white is forgiving most imperfections. Best Regards from Germany
Thank you and shout out to Germany
I need a friend like you. Just get it done. 👍🏾
Hell yeah I don’t mind it at all this way
Hi Paint Boy and Son nice video 📹 and workmanship looks tight
Thank you
says the guy who painted his last car with a broom.
GOOD JOB, DUDE!!! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
I've seen on RUclips cars that have been painted with rustoleum products and I am very impressed.
Thats the reason why I went for it
I used to paint my cars of those years by hand. I'd clean them, primer them, spray paint them, maybe 2 coats, then I would spray them with a clear coat sealer, maybe 2 coats, then I would wax them. Same with the tire rims.
Yeah I might wet sand and wax it
@@ChevroletC10andNova if you're going to wet sand you need several layers of paint, just clear it
Nothing wrong with that , looks great
Thanks I’m happy
Excellent video! You have inspired me to paint my car. Thank you!
Do it they turn out good I’m no pro but looks a million times better
Those Fisher Body Impalas had great lines. Nice job! One of the previous owners of my '70 El Camino used Rustoleum white on the repaint. Heavy pigment color and one of the purest whites I have seen. I got a great shine after a mild cut and buff.👍👍
Thanks cars are sweet
THAT CAME OUT CLEAN BIG DOG ...💥💥🔥🔥👍👍🙏🙏🇲🇽🇲🇽
Thanks bro
Hey there. Can you do a video of what it looks like around the doors when they are open? And the hood and truck too? I want paint my black car to white after I do the bodywork.
The inside is all red so I covered it from inside
Hi from SoCal. People dont get how expensive paint jobs are in CALIFORNIA you're looking a good 20 to 30k in CA for paint alone.
Most people just hate because they’re behind a keyboard. Shout out to so cal from Nor Cal 😎
@ChevroletC10andNova lol 😆 they hate all of the native California's 🤣 Lol too bad I'm a native they just need to build a bridge and get over it.
