📲 Yay! Our Pick Up Limes iOS app is finally here (1-week free trial!): bit.ly/pul-app 🎉 Android version coming soon! Wishing you a happy, healthy, and cozy holiday season from all of us here at PUL! ☃️ Thanks so much for being here with us this year, and we can’t wait to cook up a storm with you again in 2022 - exciting things are coming! ✨
What I love about Pick Up Limes is how you take a daily necessity (food) and make it fun and creative! It encourages good nutrition in a fun and positive way. I'm obsessed! Just wanted to say keep up the great work!
I've been making an indian-inspired oatmeal for years because I always prefer savory food in the morning. These options look so delicious and I can't wait to try them!
@@DrGlynnWix This is a pretty basic way of making masala oats: Chop up two carrots and a bunch of French beans, small. Finely dice a large purple onion, a few cloves of garlic and a thumb of ginger. In a pot, saute the onion in some oil till it begins to brown, then add the carrots, beans and ginger to give them a headstart. Mix in some frozen peas, frozen corn, ginger, a cup of oats, and the spices (one teaspoon of cumin powder, one teaspoon of coriander powder, half a teaspoon of red chilli powder, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, and if you can find it, half a teaspoon of amchur powder) and salt. Add enough water to cover everything and let it boil till the vegetables and oats are soft and the water has been absorbed. Adjust the seasoning, crack in some black pepper and garnish with some chopped coriander, then serve immediately.
@@DrGlynnWix sure! Here it is. I start with a tiny bit of oil in a sauce pan and add a 1/2 tsp each of cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Once they get fragrant and start popping, I add the oatmeal and water (or you could add almond milk). I also add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, grated ginger, and salt to taste. Once the oatmeal is cooked, I turn off the stove and squeeze in a bit of fresh lemon juice to taste, and add some chopped cilantro leaves. And that’s it! Very simple. If you don’t have access to cumin and mustard seeds, I think it would be just fine to add in a tsp or so of curry powder.
I was watching the end portion about audible and it dawned on me- this is a really well put together production and I’m really impressed by how you guys make a stunning presentation each video. Keep it up! 👍
Your creativity is limitless. Hands down you are my favorite for vegan recipes. Thank you for sharing them with us. You have no idea the impact you’ve had in how my husband and I approach our meals.
I appreciate that you do shorter videos still as much as I appreciate the recipes! I must say that so many of my cooking channels have gone from 5 to 10 minute videos to 20 to 30 minute videos, and while sometimes I like the longer ones, I find it a bit discouraging to watch the longer ones sometimes.
Tip for the mocha hazelnut one: roast your outs a bit dry, without any additions, in the pan. Heat the pan and mix the oats regularly for about 2-3 minutes, they will get a lovely nutty aroma which will enhance the entire recipe perfectly! And for the blueberries (the wild ones are the food of goods, especially in sweet yeast baked buns in Poland): if you happen NOT to be using plant milk: don't mix them in in the beginning. The sour juice of blueberries will curdle your milk.
As someone who is not a fan of sweet breakfast the savory oatmeal is my jam. The world opens up when you understand that oats can be savory not just sweet. Thank you.
I tend to stick to traditional and plain oatmeal without adding anything but organic honey. Oatmeal has never been prepared or looked as delicious as these recipes. You've got a knack for making simple yet hearty recipes seems anyone can make on their own
Just tried the blueberry almond oatmeal and loved it! If you don't have almond butter and you don't want to use peanut butter, a good substitute is just sprinkling walnuts on top.
I like how you showed both savory and sweet versions. Sometimes I want savory, and sometimes I want sweet oatmeal for breakfast. You make everything look so pretty, and they all look so delicious that I want to try out everything!
During these Holidays, my goal was to learn how to cook much healthier tasty meals, and your channel and site has been my source for everything I have learnt. Thank you so much! I made the Blueberry almost Oats this morning, turned out great!
It truly amazes me all the things you can add and mix into a bowl of oatmeal.😄🤍 My breakfast is always simple. But sometimes, it amazes me to see how it can magically transform our day into a better one. The simple trick is to add a little bit of color to it.✨ Such inspiring breakfast tricks. Thanks, Sadia.🌸 Just looking at those picturesque lovelies makes me hungrier. So I'd better try them soon.😄🌈
I seriously think about starting to "drink" coffee (not just smell) because of your first oatmeal recipe. I will try to spice it up with Aladdin's Coffee Spice Mix from Sonnentor. I love their beautifully "painted" packages of high-quality products. And I love your creativity.
My husband and I love your oatmeal ideas!! Thank you for for your help with keeping us healthy and not bored 😐 with the same old, same old for breakfast!
Thank you so much for these recipes! I can not wait to make the first one tomorrow morning, Oatmeal is my everyday breakfast, so these ideas are so welcomed! Have a happy and delicious holiday all of you in PUL!

Thanks for the miso sesame bowl idea - I'm always short on savoury ideas for my oatmeal breakfast and that looks like something I could easily get used to!
So inspiring. OMG, I want to try these out immediatly and the colours, so natural! But one idea from my side, do you know oatmeal soup? I am from Germany and my grandma used to cook it sometimes, it is really delicious!
just a tip for well combined miso paste, scoop out desired amount on a spoon and mix w a dash of hot water to dissolve first before putting it in the pot, it can be clumpy otherwise
Well if Sadia says savory oatmeal works, I'm gonna trust her. I have love watching your growth these past few years. Always recommend Pick Up Limes. ♥️
