People living in tropical countries: Snow? I don't know such thing.

ye
Always wanted to see snow but it never affected my christmas
People living by the great Lakes snow is small pieces of holy hell fire falling from the sky Ops thats hail
snow is the best kind of dessert because it's not a permanent one.
I live on a tropical country, and i think i cant adapt to such a cold weather.
Emily at the end: "Have a great 2020!"
Me: "Aww, that's so nice!"
Me 3 months later: "We've been tricked, we've been backstabbed, and we've quite possibly been bamboozled."

I totally agree. I fucking hate quarentine, but even I'm not going outside anytime soon.

"A wonderful start to 2020 :D"
Well we all know how *that* went
I’m getting flashbacks…
As a Filipina who has never touched snow before, I feel you, Emily.
Can we talk about how good she is at narrating calm, beautiful stories.
No, we cannot describe the perfect.
i felt so calm lol
@Zakariya Mughal I know
Im no good at talking so no
Can we talk about the fact that this feels like jaden animations but just different
Emily: “and have a great 2020!”
Hunny, you got a big storm coming.
Pog

It’s less a storm and more a natural disaster
diamondX seriously. 2020 is messed up.
I am sad, seeing the hope of 2020, and the chaos it’s been... this is why I haven’t watched the videos of late 2019 very much.
To be honest, you really transported me to that peaceful moment from the snow falling at night. It was very relaxing
From Canada here and can confirm winter is still fun even with driving (especially with drifting around a quiet neighbourhood corner) and having to scrape my car the only thing that ive always hated about winter is the constant shovelling. as another note i live near the mountains so the hills are steep for tobogganing and I am still shocked i never broke a bone or my face going off icy ramps at the bottom of one of those hills.
im australian. ive never had a snowy christmas, or snow.
I'm from Brazil
I know the feeling man you not alone
I know what you mean I'm a aussie myself
As a Canadian let me tell you, your not missing out on anything good. Unless you enjoy shoveling snow for and hour and a half or slipping on black ice and breaking a bone.
Yeah
So is Christmas portrayed as snowy there too? Canadian btw
Other people: When it's summer, do you miss the snow?
Californians: *You can't miss what you've never had.*
@ukkr yeah there is a lot of snow up North in California
What about Australia?
You can say the same for florida
Lantexio Gaming frrr
Literally me and my sis it never snows
6:24 sums up how new Zealand and Australia feel during Christmas each year, but we do BBQ or go to the beach on Christmas
lol, not where I live, it was 42 degrees outside on xmas. I'm not going anywhere without my fan
East coasters: If you live in a city with subways, the west coast doesn't really have that, but they do have trams. Also, no soft pretzels, Philly or NY cheesesteaks, italian(water) ice, or Tasty Cake Products.
They also say sub or sub sandwich instead of Hoagie.
This is most of a culture shock for people who live on the east coast but are in the Mid-Atlantic, New England Area, Maryland, and (IG) Florida (but the Miami part).
Emily: "Christmas in california kinda sucks"
Australian: "First time?"
It barely snows in Oregon but there was a hail in Oregon so lucky but not really lucky cause it’s only cold in winter and hot in the other days
Gday

The start was ok i guess
i mean the biggest threat in the start of 2020 was a war threat from america to a middle eastern country which they did a lot of times so the start was fine
Let's just say if the whole pandemic/ quarantine did not happen, 2020 was stil the worst
@@bold-Motion dunno about that, 1939 still take the cake for the worst year for me
Imagine living in Colorado and NOT HAVING SNOW AROUND CHRISTMAS FOR TWO YEARS STRAIGHT
growing up without snow, i found that i found the comfort of the holidays and festive times whenever it was freezing cold. like right now! the nights would come much quicker and since i live on top of a hill, fog is pretty common around this time and i LOVE it. i love seeing the fog outside and the christmas lights of my neighbors. there is no wind, but its really cold, and sometimes the moon shines through the fog and clouds and its beautiful. the air also seems very misty and humid, like a huge cloud passing through me. its very cold when that happens when i open a window and just stand right next to it, but i love it. i wish i could experience snow for the holidays, but, i dont think anything could ever replace what i have right now
Emily: "Merry Christmas and a great start to 2020!"
2020: *Like that's ever gonna happen*
ikr frick!
Man, that ending line aged so poorly.
Can we changed to something in the lines of "great end of 2020" or "may 2020 pass quick enogh"?

i live in eastern america, so when we get snow, it's after christmas. im used to having grey christmases (christmases where it rains instead of snows) so when i got to experience my first white christmas last year, i loved it.
The silence when snow falls is the most ominously beautiful sound ever. It's like, even though you like in a city and there are cars, and dogs, and people, the snow just stops all that noise. When I was in high school and just out graduated, I took long walks to get out of the house for a while. In the winter, I remember walking down the street when it would snow and there'd be no one out. Just me, no cars, no other walkers, just me and whatever I was listening to on my phone. I remember how the silence and that cold stillness was just so comforting, somehow. I remember I'd had some particularly bad times in that part of my life and I'd take a walk to just cry it all out. I remember that, even though it wouldn't freeze, all the tears I cried out got so cold that it was like an icy brand on my cheeks and I'd come back with rosy cheeks and frostbitten streaks under my eyes. Honestly, I miss that. This year, winter was about 50-75 degrees in KS and it just didn't feel like winter. And now that Christmas is over, NOW ITS DECIDED TO GET SNOWY OKAY.
Emily: *has seen snow*

Hey but I think in 2018 there was snow in Tallahassee

Emily: mom can we get Christmas
Mom: we have Christmas at home
Christmas at home:

Raeffa Weekes so Emily is talking about how Christmas in California is lame the joke is that Emily wanted A real Christmas but she got this instead
I’ll admit, in Kentucky, it barely snows in the winter. And when it does, it’s always too little or too much. For almost my whole life, I have never experienced having a White Christmas, and me and my brother are always hoping for one, because it seems to make the day feel that much more cozy and relaxing.
You actually summarize my feeling towards winter as well. Something just so magical about this time of year, then you calmly walking under snowfall, breathing frosty air and relaxing with cap of tea at home afterwards. Great video, thank you:)

Well in Quebec when it is 9 or later november it is snowing or having snow almost until the end of spring till, some years we don't have a long time having snow and some years it is an apocalypse this year is one of our biggest winter or maybe it is the biggest on news they said that a city got 100 CM/centimeter snow, which is really a lot if we only count the snow of the day but if we count all snow of the days, then you have snow taking over your car and the jobs have to give off-duty for everyone (I think I'm having some problem or just sick I don't type bad in english or speak english badly usually, I have no idea what is happening with my english am I slowly becoming able to speak only one language which is quebecois (not french it is racist for us to call us french). the part where you talked about just lying there in the snow and existing was honestly amazing. I'm still pretty young (in high school) so I still don't have many responsibilities I need to worry about but I likely only have a couple of years before I will. I'm probably a bit older than you were when you were lying down in the snow and watching it fall but I still want to have a magical experience like that before I reach adulthood. I feel like time is just passing me by and in the future I'll probably regret how I spent me teenage years, which is why I want to appreciate little things like this while I can. Next winter (r maybe this winter if I'm really lucky because I'm typing this in February and here in upstate new york it snows until late march/early april/sometimes later) I'll definitely be sure to go outside, lie in the snow, and just feel appreciate everything happening around me because from how you described it, it definitely sounds like something I want to experience while I'm still young

“I’ve been in California for my whole life and I don’t know how another Christmas feels :,(
COLD,
Yea same, maybe I’ll move north when I get older
It's worse When you have been born in California and haven't left the state except a couple of occasions
Captain Lukas I’m born and raised here too man trust me man I know it sucks :(
@@Scotts_The_Person can't relate. I've never left the Eastern Time zone. I as well never experienced the snowy Christmas. North Carolina in general is a place where Mother Nature gave up, and snow wasn't really on her priority I guess.
I never experienced real snow, I feel envious for the memories you have from your snowy winters of your childhood.
I love how well you describe this. I totally agree and I don’t think I could move south because of the lack of snow.
OooooOoooooooOOOH you think California is on fire.......... you should see Australia
In Australia, it's right at the peak of summer right now.
I heard. Your roads are literally melting!! Global Warming is damn scary😬😬😬 Hopefully the heatwave passes soon. Us South Africans also don't exactly have it easy. Bloody warm here, but not road melting hot....
Yes I live in Australia and you can you can cook an egg on the ashfalt
@@wendigogirl2989: There was this video I saw a few months ago on 'I did a thing's channel where he cooked kangaroo and crocodile meat on the Sydney asphalt. It is genuinely scary😥😥😥
Ik. It’s either your burning alive or it’s 15 degrees everyday
