As evil and cruel the Ottomans were, they rarely aborted children nor killed a pregnant woman.
However, after his death 7 pregnant concubines were bagged and drowned
if the sons were still living in the palace and their woman got pregnant - it was aborted and the woman was sent away. It was a usual practice.
When sultan dies, new sultan takes the reigns and kills his brothers, even infants and pregnant concubines of his late father.
If sultans son was executed all his male children were executed too.
So murdering children was going pretty much on a regular base in ottomans empire.
