Video Summary:
This is video on digoxin mechanism of action.
Notes from the video.
- Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside
- It is used in heart failure
- It inhibits Na-K ATPase pump and thereby increases intracellular Ca after sequence of events. Increased Ca helps cardiac myocyte contract better.
- Digoxin and K competes with other for same binding site on Na-K ATPase.
- In case of hypokalaemia there are chances of digoxin toxicity and in hyperkalemia digoxin effect may reduce.

Best explanation that actually made sense to me. Thank you!!!
Thankyou sir tomorrow is my paper i will convert this video into letters tomorrow😂 if digoxin MOA will come😆
All the best👍🏻
hope it comes...😉
Me too…tomorrow
Sir your videos are helping me a lot to clear my doubts... Sir please make clear video on atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia and other arrhythmic conditions please!
I love these videos! I wish I have discovered them sooner 😅
I hope you learn a lot from the channel. Meanwhile you can help your friends discover it sooner.
Excellent explanation
in hypoklimia digioxin more strongly binds and increases toxic effect..and in hyperkalimia digoxin reduces its effect on heart cell.. 👌thanx.
Yes, you are right
Outstanding performance, coverd all the concepts in a very effective way,
🥰🥰🦾
Comprehensive explanation, Thank you..
Nice explanation
Need more videos on interesting topics
Thank you so much
Sure 👍
THX
perfect explanation
Thank u so much
It's really helpful!
Excellent explanation..!!
Thankyou so much sir....very interesting and informative!
Glad you liked it.!
But I have a doubt, if na-k pump is inhibited how will cell able to generate impulse and if impulse is not generated how will l type of calcium channel stimulate
What an incredible video 🔥🔥🔥🔥
BEST
Thank you so much for this video. It helped me a lot.
Glad it helped!
Exquisite 🎉
Wonderful video. Thank you
thanks
It's great ...👍👍
Thank you sir this video is so helpful to me

Tysm
Really very well taught 🙏👍👍👍
Most welcome 😊
Nice explanation
Keep watching
Very nicely explained! Thanks
You are welcome!😊
Wowww...such a lucid explanation..
Thankyou so much..😊
Thank you😊
Sir please please please clear my doubt here that when Digoxin bind to na+ k+ ATPase how it affecting and stop the work of na+ ca2+ exchanger 🙏🏻 plz tell
Sodium concentration increases inside the cell...so sodium calcium gradient exchanger didn't work as for calcium to go outside , sodium has to be low inside so that it can come inside in exchange of calcium.
God level
Thanks 😊
Please make video on antiarrythmic drugs
Really good.. Only 2 min me sab samaj aa gaya.. Ty.. Nice video
Thank you😊
Well explained 👍
Thank you 🙂
❤❤❤
Tysm sir
Welcome...😊
Sir your explanation is very good
Thank you :-)
Hey! Tysm..ur videos are really helpful for me..like ssly it makes learning concepts as esy as watching cartoons!..but meanwhile i want u to make some videos on cvs drugs, and also cover the ans and cns drugs,.plz if possible do it for me as early as possible..coz ther r very few months left for my competitve exam..n much more to study..so i would be more grateful if u would do it for me(plz!)..anyways ty for all ur rest of videos.
Hi Sakshi. There already are many videos from systems you asked. Like drugs affecting Renin angiotensin system, antiparkinsonian drugs, drugs affecting cholinergic system etc. See the playlists. I am currently working on musculoskeletal system and after that CVS is in the list. But because of amount of work required, it will take long before those videos come. Thank you.
Yea!i went through it but i want it on ANS-adrenergic,antiagrenergi...CNS-antiepileptic,antipsychotic,antidepressant,opoid analgesics..CVS-antiarrhytmic,antihypertensive,antiangina.
Yes... It will take time but everything will be covered eventually.
okay noworries..ty!!!
smart
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing sir
Thank you...😊
I didnot get concept from any other video but yours is outstanding truly clear the concept of digoxin as im student of pharmacy please keep doing videos like this on drugs mechanisms
Glad to be helpful. Yes I am regularly uploading videos. Check out more at the channel. And do share among your friends and colleagues so that all can benefit from it. Thnak you.!
Sure
Thanks
🙂❤
Just before exam😅
