    Video Summary:
    This is video on digoxin mechanism of action.
    Notes from the video.
    - Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside
    - It is used in heart failure
    - It inhibits Na-K ATPase pump and thereby increases intracellular Ca after sequence of events. Increased Ca helps cardiac myocyte contract better.
    - Digoxin and K competes with other for same binding site on Na-K ATPase.
    - In case of hypokalaemia there are chances of digoxin toxicity and in hyperkalemia digoxin effect may reduce.

    Sir please please please clear my doubt here that when Digoxin bind to na+ k+ ATPase how it affecting and stop the work of na+ ca2+ exchanger 🙏🏻 plz tell

    • @rna2500
      @rna2500 Год назад

      Sodium concentration increases inside the cell...so sodium calcium gradient exchanger didn't work as for calcium to go outside , sodium has to be low inside so that it can come inside in exchange of calcium.

      Hi Sakshi. There already are many videos from systems you asked. Like drugs affecting Renin angiotensin system, antiparkinsonian drugs, drugs affecting cholinergic system etc. See the playlists. I am currently working on musculoskeletal system and after that CVS is in the list. But because of amount of work required, it will take long before those videos come. Thank you.
