Really makes you wonder just what the hell is the point of a $200M+ budget when 5 dudes in a basement and 1/18th the budget can do a better job at creating a video game…and that’s not hyperbole either. Indies and AA’s having been killing it this gen
Five dudes in a basement don't get the attention of crunch-happy publishers, nor folks like Sweet Baby Inc. who attempt (and often succeed) at extortion/racketeering to be "hired" to ruin your game or else they'll destroy you in social media & press to ensure you go broke either way.
If the Avengers game initially released in the state they ended the games life where everything was actually unlockable without anything online at all whatsoever it would have been alot better.

The name "Kill the Justice League" should have been off putting already. Then after the trailer showing who was killing the justice league, that should have been the nail in the coffin. No one wants to see these D list villains somehow beat S tier superheroes and also an s tier villain.
SS:KTJL was the perfect example of WBD not knowing a single thing about the games industry. A smart company would've given that game (thought it still would've failed) to a company who specializes in those types of games and has been successful in the past with them. Giving it to a company who has never made those types of games, had no interest in making those types of games, and specializes in single player games (See the Batman Arkham games), was ones of the biggest mistakes I've ever seen. It's not hard to just let companies to do what they specialize in. Why WBD finds it so hard is beyond me.
Nintendo seems to be the only company left that consistently makes AAA titles that match the quality of their budget, with Indie developers not even needing the budget to make high quality games. Most modern day AAA games are best described as "The photorealistic graphics hide how bare bones and/or full of glitches the actual gameplay quality is." Of course not all of them are like this, and even Nintendo doesn't have the absolute perfect record ever; for every absolute master-piece of a new game that revolutionizes the IP, there seems to be some overpriced remakes or ports thrown in a few years later. But anyway, higher budget =/= game quality, it is the love and passion that the hard working developers put into it that does.
6:55 Really? How about TLOU2, DOOM Eternal, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and of course Cyberpunk 2077 which was probably the top 5 most anticipated games of all time
SSKTJL is even more disappointing because of the current seasonal release DLC Microtransaction model that games won’t stop doing. The humor was not funny, and the narrative of captured Leaguers somehow being less competent with Brainiac in control losing to a bunch of reject villains is even less believable.
Missed opportunity to call Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite a "MCU wannabe" because it was literally made by MCU fanboys, trend chasers, and executive meddlers who excluded the lesser known Capcom characters and the X-Men.
Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite is really unfair. The gameplay mechanic is really really fun. But it came out in a weird time between Disney and Fox so a lot of people were pissed because there was no Xmen characters; add the lackluster single player campaign and story, ugly character models, etc. All the characters in the Marvel side were good choices as well. Just wish that they would have release an expansion with the same amount of Xmen characters after the Disney buyout and it would be perfect. But Capcom and the community gave up on it too soon.
How come Battlefield is there but not Cyberpunk 2077? Title said “Worst AAA games” but you focus on the bugs of BF2042. It got fixed and the game has a 24h peak of 16000 players on Steam. Same with Cyberpunk 2077. The game was buggy at launch and got fixed. Hmm I don’t agree with your list!

Every wwe wrestling game fan actually needs to thank WWE 2k20 exists because it was the reason 2K was given one more year of devolopmemt for the next installment 2k22 which already was a massive improvement over the past entrys but also set the foundation for future titles to get even better 2k24 the latest installment was once again a massive hit for the fans and though it still has it problems mainly in tve online modes it was a huge success and continues the ongoing improvement we see since 2k20. 2k25 is already confirmed and set to come out as usual in march next year before Wrestlemania if the rumours are true it might be the first fully current gen exclusive finally ditching PS4 and xbox one promising a much better gameplay quality
I played the Anthem beta way back when. I really liked the artstyle and the flying mechanics were surprisingly satisfying, but that's about the only praise I could muster. Besides that, it was just another cookie-cutter looter-shooter grindfest I could never see myself putting significant amounts of time into.
5. Resident Evil is very lucky to be in the incredible state it's in today, because if this didn't kill it, there must be something strong keeping it afloat. 2. The general gamplay was great. The problem: Basically everything else. The Marvel side of the roster was missing some prominent characters like... basically ANY of the X-Men. In fact, nearly all the Marvel Characters were already in the MCU at the time. This was due to Disney having the rights for Marvel characters and they went a little "My Precious" with it's characters. They even tried to defend other characters being "functions." Like giving Ultron some of Magneto's moves for example. That's like taking out Luigi in Smash Bros, replacing him with Fawful, and giving him the Negative Zone ability. 1. One question remains: Can Skull and Bones turn things around and pull a No Man's Sky, Sea of Thieves or a FF14: A Realm Reborn? Possible, but unlikely. Still, one thing many people often don't realize or acknowledge is that stuff stuff all the examples I gave can ONLY happen due due good leadership. Naoki Yoshida knew knew just patching FF14 a bunch of times wasn't the answer and that the game was flawed on on fundamental level. Basically, he went "There's no use saving it, we need to pull it out by the roots." So unless one of the key staff gets replaced or someone gets a Buddha-level epiphany, we can only hope that they do better in the future.
I've always thinking what diffrences AA and AAA games are and what they actually mean? But when Ive saw Marvel VS Capcom Infinite and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League I know much better what AAA games are and being the WORST AAA games dosen't mean they're not all bad games because for me it gives more interest to play those games how much more people say they're the WORST like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that I've been interested since it's launch and now i'm interested about Marvel VS Caocom Infinite because LOVE Marvel and Capcom both of them and Fast and Furious Crossroads because LOVE Fast and Furious movies! So WORST dosen't always mean it's actually WORST game, even bad games can be FUN! 😊❤
Most of these games don’t really appeal to me anyway cause they’re “Bang Bang Shooty Shooters” I’m an old snob who still can’t play shooters on consoles cause I was spoiled by CS 1.6 as a teen, and a mouse will always be superior.
Get a Switch and play Splatoon with gyro. I promise it works just as well as a mouse. Not to mention the game itself is more innovative than the genre has been for DECADES.
Who in this day and age combines AAA Companies or Products with Quality and value? Except a very few exceptions, triple A means to stay away and double they announce quadruple A games or life service.
I'm sorry, but I actually liked Skull and Bones. My nephew and I got to play in the beta (I was actually in multiple closed beta, as well), and we had a lot of fun

I have lost faith in AAA games studios lately, not ALL of them, but developers don't care what the audience wants anymore, which is sad.

An IP in 2020 that had almost as much hype, but actually lived up to expectations was FF7 Remake.
