I disagree. South Park Snow Day is the best. Trey Parker and Matt Stone just wanted to do something different. Trey likes RPG style kinda games Matt love 3D animation multiplayer games. So South Park Snow Day is the best
I know this seems weird but i was _really_ disappointed on the Micromachines game on PS4. its technically a licensed game and all the micromachines games were pretty solid, but this one fell flat between the lack of online play and the digital currency-bought cosmetics
Square's guardians of the galaxy. The constant guns blazing combat, unresponsive qte and playing only as starlord and crossing your hands to initiate commands

I dont understand why they didn't just make a third South Park turn based rpg.
Because they wanted the big constant fortnight pay out but failed miserably like every other live service game
becasue one of the 2 South Park creators did not like the genre and wanted to try something different. Is what they said. But yeah could just as well just be them trying to chase a trend and failed

There is really no excuse for licensed games to be in this state in this day and age. Good licensed games are VERY MUCH A THING nowadays. Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom, The Simpsons Hit and Run, The Batman Arkham Series, Ducktales, Hogwarts Legacy, Mad Max, Alien Isolation, Injustice, The Ubisoft South Park Games, The Middle Earth Series, Kingdom Hearts, Epic Mickey, The Insomniac Spider-Man Games, VARIOUS Star Wars Games like KOTOR and the Star Wars Jedi Games, AND ALL The Travelers Tales Lego Games have repeatedly proven that! The difference is that they knew that just having a recognizable name attached to it WASN'T ENOUGH and that they NEEDED good gameplay to back that up! But one thing many people or publishers don't realize or acknowledge is that stuff like all the examples I gave can ONLY happen due to good leadership. Sony and Insomniac knew that rushing the game out the door to meet fan hype/demand WASN'T THE ANSWER and that they needed to take as much time as they need to complete Spider-Man 2, and hey, Wolverine is shaping up to be another smash.
Gamemill also had a rough go with Nickelodeon Kart Racers 1 and it shows, no voice acting, simplistic animations, stiff controls, and the worst sin for a crossover kart racer, ABSOLUTE BAREBONES CONTENT! Compare this with Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway, a large roster of characters from a variety of Nickelodeon shows. How many characters does Kart Racers 1 have? 12 characters. From 4 shows. 3 Spongebob characters, 3 Rugrats characters, 2 Hey Arnold Characters, and all 4 of the Ninja Turtles. Where the fuck is Timmy Turner? Where the Fuck is Danny Phantom? Where the Fuck is Jimmy Neutron? And as I mentioned before, the characters that DID make the cut were missing 2 crucial characteristics: Personality and their voice acting. A smash?! HA! The real smash actually happened with Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway, which MASSIVELY expanded the roster and gameplay, tightened the controls, AND added in full voice acting. So, at least they learned their lesson and evolved with each sequel. Now if a slip up only happened once or twice, this wouldn't be a big issue. You can make a few mistakes when putting out a good game, it's easy to screw up. But Gamemill just keeps making the EXACT same mistakes (1-year deadline and quanity over quality) DESPERATELY HOPING AND PRAYING IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN THE NEXT TIME THEY DID IT!

So unless one of the higher ups gets replaced or someone gets a Buddha-level epiphany, we can only hope that they do better in the future. Unfortunately, given the stubbornness of some publishers and companies, that just isn't the world we live in. So it is with fated breath for now that I hereby dub Gamemill Entertainment "The New LJN."
I wouldn't count Kingdom Hearts as a licensed game as it's a Square game with Disney elements.
Why would Square Enix, a company that is KNOWN FOR AWESOME GAMES from franchises like Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, associate themselves with a sloppy mess that was Marvel's Avengers? Between this game AND the hot mess that was Balan Wonderworld, I'm now starting to question Square Enix and their game making decisions.
Cause they like to experiment and they chase trends. Results show tend to miss more than they hit. They're also are pretty darn stubborn.

Rocksteady: Warner Bros, I'm afraid this is your worst AAA game of 2024, it has all the AAA smells.
WB: So you're saying that it requires a constant online connection in order to play?
Rocksteady: Yes.
WB: The story is half-assed?
Rocksteady: Yes.
WB: The gameplay loop is boring and repetitive?
Rocksteady: Yes.
WB: It's set for release the same day as a far better single-player game with more bang for your buck? [I.E: Persona 3 Reload]
Rocksteady: Yes.
WB: With poorly implemented live service elements?
Rocksteady: A-A little bit, yes. In addition, we found several completely different new fails in it.
WB: I see, but, higher-ups said everything was fine.
Rocksteady: Um, no, that's because they relied on mock reviews and clueless suits. If you have a minute, I can explain.
WB: Well...

Rocksteady: Ok, so this doorway represents the game and these are development issues. [Gestures to the fluffballs] This is crunch, this is poor management, this is obliviousness to what fans really want, and this cute little cuddlebug is all the devs that left. Now here's what happens when they all try to make a game. [Tries to shove all the fluffballs through the small doorway, but to no avail] Woop woopwoopwoopwoopwoop! Move it, Chowderhead! We call it "The Troubled Development."
WB: So what your saying is "It can be released."
Rocksteady: Oh no no no, in fact, even a slight change or delay could-
WB: It can be released.

matrix path of neo and Peters jackson King Kong were legendary back in 2005
While the matrix is near unplayable because of the graphics and fidelity it was still a banger for sure but King Kong was an absolute gem of a game. I’d kill for a port if it
The amount of time they spent making the garbage that is “Snow Day” they could have done some epic DLC’s to “Fractured but Whole” imaging expanding to Denver to fight Batdad, Canada, or even Mexico where Butters could lead a Cartel as Manteguilla.
Or do a 3rd Turn-Based RPG that poked fun at JRPGS that fans wanted.
Mantequilla, you were close, just swap the "G" for a "Q", but yes. I would've loved to see a few missions or so with Mantequilla. "Work,Mexican, Work!" The Batdad would have to have the line "I thought this was America!"
Can most of us agree that the only good GameMill game of 2023 was Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2? Turds like their games for Walking Dead, Kong, Avatar, Trolls, and DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing, and yet they made a worthy successor of their first attempt at a Nick platformer fighting game (aside from the Switch port).

They should’ve treated every language that’s supported by that game fairly instead of only giving English voice acting.

Back in the 2000s and maybe early 2010s, good licensed games were more common. Now we live like we're in the 80s where good licensed games are random, except Movie Tie ins are all but gone and even when there is, it 99% of the time sucks.

I managed to beat that trash since the used copies are dirty cheap now. Easily one of the worst writing on a videogame period. Also one of the worst zoom in on any modern videogame.

It's not modern anymore but I still regret buying Alien: Colonial Marines the day it came out.
Yep, the trailer made it look amazing and the game...was not.

It is wild that the developers of that Rambo game went on to create RoboCop: Rogue City which is fucking great.
Rambo the video game was crap. They used or reused lines from the movies just thank god they did a great job with Terminator and robocop. Snow day wasn't even promoted by the creators of the show so that should tell you how bad it was. Suicide squad was destroyed because they allowed wokeness to be put in, you made each character play pretty much the same, you had hard flirt with an underage ivy, you treated the male justice League members like trash, you had Harley shoot Batman in the head and you took what might have worked out better if you made it single player it also didn't help that it was filled to the brim with micro transactions
Home Alone & Many other SNES & NES Games were alot worse than South Park Snow day & TMNT Mutant Mayhem imo.

I played Amazing Spiderman 2 that Literally didn’t Focus on the Movie a lot except for the Electro Boss Fight. But Everything about it sucks.
Gladly I didn’t try it out because something didn’t feel right about it but didn’t finished the first Amazing Spider-Man Game So I guess they didn’t wanna Add Gwen Stacey Death Scene in the game from the game

TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan is basically a poor man's Granblue Fantasy Relink. It even used the same source code when that game started development back at PlatinumGames to where the similarities are pretty much identical. Turtles die too quickly forcing you to revive them over and over and levels took way too long.
Then came Ghostbusters 2016, the last Activision licensed game which was so bad it caused its dev to file for bankruptcy and got buried in obscurity afterward.
I'm just glad you didn't show Nickelodeon Kart Racers and All-Star Brawl. Those are GOOD GameMill games.

Gollum should be #1, it almost singlehandedly killed the gigant Embracer. They haven't recovered from this yet. Same with that latest FF7 "remake" game almost killed SquareEnix. The gaming industry has a such severe problem now.
God, I was soooo disappointed with Marvel's The Avengers and South Park: Snow Day!
If snow day was developed by Ubisoft, it would’ve been better. What happened between Trey, Matt and Ubisoft?
Also, suicide squad killed the justice league had a lot of potential but couldn’t execute it. In addition, I know this is kind of a small detail, but they invited some of the DCAU cast for this game, but they couldn’t get Susan Eisenberg back as Wonder Woman? She is like Kevin Conroy, a voice acting, she’s synonymous with WW.

Really? In this day and age you think Ubisoft would make a good game? Assassin's Creed is dead, Prince of Persia is dead, Rayman and Rabbids (sorta) are dead and they keep getting shittier by the minute.

Ubisoft made the Watch Dogs series, which is one of my personal favorite franchises. So I have a soft spot for Ubisoft
The thing that hurts me the most about how badly the Avengers game bombed is that it took away the spotlight from the Guardians of the Galaxy game that was excellent in every way. That game deserved waaaaaay more love than it got.

Rocksteady isn't to blame for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Warner Bros/Discovery is. It was them who forced them to make a style of game they had zero interest in making.

Putting games like, Avengers/Suicide Squad and Snow Day alongside games like Golum/Kong/Fast and Furious/etc, is just criminal.
The design of the ninja Turtles was based around the IDW comic book series

You should have checked the reviews. Angry Joe was true to his name in this game. He tore the game to pieces. He had a high end PC and Gollum had trouble running on even the lowest settings.

IMHO, much of the bad talk about it was deliberate over-exaggerations of technical issues in order to cover over the real reason for the hate - player reactions to Kamala Khan being the "ordinary person" character. By that, I mean the character used by ordinary people to identify with in order to have a framework for the story when the other main characters are so far outside normal human scope. In the Civil War comics, they did this with Peter Parker, so we could see his viewpoint shift as he became aghast at what Stark was doing and became more in line with Team Cap. In this game, it was Kamala Khan. The problem is many gamers are high school to college-age teen males who are not very female protagonist friendly.

I loved the Arkham series, so when Avengers was announced, I got excited. The story is actually great, in my opinion, but the repetitive gameplay killed it for me. Outside of pokemon, I haven't touched a licensed game since Avengers. Heard too much negative stuff about Suicide Squad and South Park, by the looks of this video, rumors were true. As far as the other stuff? I always remembered as a kid, another of the licensed stuff sucked, so I never really played too many anyway. Sega and PS1 spider man games were the best. And Shrek 2 for ps2 😏

I think Avengers should go at the bottom of the list. Like I thought it was alright. Granted I am a Ms. Marvel fan but that's ultimately what that game felt like, a Ms. Marvel game. None of the other Avengers interesed me whatsoever and I thought Black Panther DLC was cool imo
I actually liked Fast and Furious: Crossroads. And Gotham Knights was awesome a lot better than Suicide Squad: Kill Rocksteady Studios.

Nahhh, Suicide Squad is NOWHERE near as bad as you made it out to be.
The game is good, people just hate it because it doesn't feel like a Rocksteady game, as if that actually matters.
Never played the avengers game but the game play looks good, but like what people said the micro transactions killed it.
But by far the worst has to be the walking dead game as a huge game of the comics and series it a crying shame how awful, cheap and out dated that game was.
Honestly Avengers and gotham knights were fairly decent, enjoyable games

X-Men: Origins Wolverine the Wii version. Terrible game, that had horrible graphics, and the use of the motion controls was just unenjoyable.
Aliens: Colonial Marines. Absolute garbage game when it finally released. Thankfully presently released Alien games have redeemed it.

I bought the walking dead knowing what I was getting going into it, I paid $20 and to be honest sometimes I enjoy playing a simple brain dead crappy game like it, yes it’s bad but I like the walking dead and the combat is fun in like 20 minute sessions every now and then 😂.
Suicide Squad did mistreat all the characters, and not only do we NOT want to kill our favorite heroes, but the way they chose to kill off Arkham Batman as Kevin Conroy’s final role in a video game was the final nail in the coffin. 9 years for a new installment and they just do THAT?
Avengers was good for the first time I played the game, but the recycled areas for missions with the same outcomes and lack of a “New Game” option is what ruined the game.
Mutant in Manhattan was a terrible game. Boss fights was kinda ridiculous. Combat sucked. And it was boring

I thought Arkham Drone tank battles was bad but Avengers did bashing drone thing for the entirety of the game and it's boring (Epilogue was the best part of the game) Suicide Squad then did even worse with the repetitive shooting/mission that makes you want to sell the game and just watch the cutscenes on youtube

South park isn't that bad, and the humour is still there, plus they did a great job on containing a 2d style animation in 3d

Honestly, marvels avengers wasn’t too bad, despite a few bugs . It was an ok game, I mean it wasn’t up to par with marvels Spider-Man, but it was a pretty good game NGL.

Rambo the Video Game had shitty graphics and repetitive gameplay and it should really get the remake treatment using Unreal Engine 5 like Terminator Resistance & Robocop Rogue City or maybe the id Tech Engine from Doom Eternal, and there you go.
Marvel's The Avengers Game was just utter trash 🗑, the Guardians of the Game was way better!!
Suicide Squad KTJL would've been better if it was delayed and released in 2025.

Enough with the Avengers hate. The campaign was solid and the combat is superb. It was that damn micro transaction BS they forced upon the game that destroyed it. But the game is actually fun.

The campaign was good, nothing special but good. Voice acting was great, but that was expected.
The gameplay loop was horrible though. Even the campaign was boged down be the terrible gameplay loop.
The game was a disappointment. Square Enix just continued to fail with their live-service model. Babylon’s Fall got crashed, burned, and died. Wait till Foamstars gets the axe as well.

Graphics were also pretty bland. Cap looked like he had a beer belly and the others looked like Wish versions of each character. As he stated in the video, the story was overshadowed. No one cares about that if the game isn't worth playing. You're just dik riding them for putting out a half azz piece of shite game. The Guardians game is better, but should've been 4 players like Avengers.
