Followed your instructions to the letter and everything worked out just fine! I did the passenger side. The only recommendation I have is when you put the screws back in don't over tighten. Otherwise thanks for your video I am mechanically challenged and successful!
Thank you! Replaced mine today. One caution. If the panel is notto be completely removed, support it. It stressed on another wiring anchor but it didn't break. If it had, no big deal. Also, I shorted the leads on the original and th e fuel door opened proving it was the activator and not the fuel door.
Once you remove the door panel, you will see the metal panel that the window motor attaches to. From what I can tell, you must drill out the pop rivets all the way around the metal piece to access the innards of the door. It's a poor design in my opinion, but that's how it's made. If you do not have the tools to drill out the pop rivets safely, I would highly recommend taking it to a mechanic to have them do it. It will need to be put back together with pop rivets again. Please consider liking the video and subscribing to the channel!
What happens if window gets stuck fully down and now window won't work at all? Does opening door panel allow you to manually "pull" the window back up? Gonna be rainy season soon! 😂
@@stephentang8536 In order to do that you would need to remove the window motor and then reinstall it to keep it up. Chances are the window motor is bad. I have a video showing how to remove the window motor. Good luck on your project!
Very good video! Helped a lot. However, I had simply unscrewed the inner door handle assembly rather than used the push pin to remove the cables. Next step...the power window regulator! Would be nice to add that to the video.
You will most likely have to drill out the pop rivets that attach it to the door. I cannot say for certain because I never took ours completely apart. In my opinion it's a really bad design. I'd recommend taking it to a mechanic just to make sure you don't cause any damage.
Great video! My front driver side interior door handle broke. Assuming I follow everything here to remove the panel, is replacing the handle just a matter of removing the screws on the back side around where you show the cable mechanism attaching?
Hi thanks for your question. Unfortunately the answer to your question is not going to be one that you're going to want to hear. More than likely you were door latch has frozen up. 9 times out of 10 you end up having to break the door panel to access the inside mechanisms of the door. You may get lucky and be able to remove the door panel without breaking it but most of the time it ends up getting broken. I would highly recommend taking it to a mechanic if you are not mechanically inclined just because this can be quite a task. Good luck on your project!
Unfortunately there is no real easy way to do this. You may have to end up breaking the door panel to get inside. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic and seeing what they can do so hopefully the door panel doesn't get destroyed unless absolutely necessary.
Your latch mechanism is jammed. You may have to take it to a mechanic and they can work on it. It may require removing the seat and attempting to remove the door panel, chances are it will break so be prepared for that. It's not the shops fault if it does, its just very tough to remove without breaking it without the door opening. Once they are in there they will have to gain access to the latch mechanism.

Do you HAVE to remove the door panel just to remove the side mirror assembly? Forgive my ignorance, I'm a newbie to working on vehicles like this. Thanks!
Hi Joshua, you will need to remove the door panel to give you as few headaches as possible when accessing your mirror. Technically you don't have to remove it but when it comes to removing/replacing the bolts it will make your life so much easier. The amount of time you will spend fighting the bolts out and back in could just be spent removing the panel and making the whole process easier.
