DOOR LOCK. There's a little tab you can depress on the back of that trim on the side facing the handle and the whole assy. Pops off clean🫡 found this out cause my nylon slide had never been removed

How do you know the Vvt selenoid needs replacing?

Very few with in depth installation instruction, super appreciate the big effort on recording the underside and tips from your experience, will be using this also as future reference since we also have a daily NCP92 (4 Door 2NZ-FE). Lots of claim for this for product to improve ride quality even just for street use on this platform/chassis, no downside just pure simple upgrade for every vehicle. Other significant upgrade I was hoping for this platform was a Brake Master Cylinder Stopper since the thin firewall has some flex to it even on simple braking, but havent seen one manufacture yet, probably to how tight the area is and maybe the battery position. If you have some lead or fabrication plans, would love to see it in the future.

Thanks for giving the mighty yaris/vitz/belta some love That Ultra Racing rear brace and Cusco brace look useful for reducing torsion and flexure between the connected components. My Yaris has a lot of understeer under heavy braking so the front brace would help, after the stiffer springs, front tower bar, and front sway bar and you have already installed. I'm having trouble visualising what forces the 6 point brace and fender brace counteract significantly, but perhaps a mechanical engineer would be able to explain it.

Are these trying to make the surfaces of a shear joint larger with aluminium washers? You can tell if you need this because the bolts will have failed. If they haven't failed, its not moving and something else is introducing the flex you want to solve. If you think you require higher friction in a shear joint, you should use higher grade bolts and calculate the required torque spec. The friction holding the shear joint is between the surfaces of the joint.

Using the ultra racing rear end brace, you don't really need a sway bar anymore. It's totally personal preference but with that rear brace minus the weight of the rear sway, the car simply feels better to me with no loss of stiffness. I also have the spoon rigid collars front and rear with BC coilovers. Try getting a leile dog bone next, that thing makes the car feel "centered" and tight. Great video as always!

BEWARE. I have a 2009 Yaris which has two screws that hold the radio in. Took me forever to determine the reason the radio panel did not pop out easily. Of course, as fate would have it, now my radio does not turn on after reassembly. Yikes!! Ever onward!

Thank you very much for this video -- it is very well done and specific to my model! I have replaced the side-mirror assembly but have an odd problem with the use of the mirror controls on the inside door panel with the driver's-side mirror. The left arrow lowers the mirror angle, the right arrow raises the mirror angle, and neither the up nor the down arrows do anything. The mirror controls still work properly with the passenger's-side mirror. I was thinking I might have done something wrong with plugging the wiring harnesses back in (I did remove the door as you very helpfully instructed in the related video), but I believe the plugs in the harnesses fit only one way. Would appreciate any ideas -- thanks again for the videos! Edit: I just clicked "...more" on the header for this video and saw your caution to disconnect the battery before doing anything with the electrical connections, and I didn't do that -- so I'm now wondering if disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it (perhaps a little later to allow any residual charge to drain from the system) might help.

I have this problem with the shifter is stuck in neutral, and key is stuck in ignition!! Shifter moves up and down but won't stay anywhere. And key is stuck.

Hey I'm looking to get my ECU reflashed through FTG tuning as well and in the description on Chris Taylor Racing they say "Yaris ECU's can be swapped but MUST not be equipped with factory alarm/security.". How would I go about removing the alarm/security system? This may be more of a question for them but I figured I'd ask you first since you've been wicked good with answering questions!
