    Thank you very much for this video -- it is very well done and specific to my model! I have replaced the side-mirror assembly but have an odd problem with the use of the mirror controls on the inside door panel with the driver's-side mirror. The left arrow lowers the mirror angle, the right arrow raises the mirror angle, and neither the up nor the down arrows do anything. The mirror controls still work properly with the passenger's-side mirror. I was thinking I might have done something wrong with plugging the wiring harnesses back in (I did remove the door as you very helpfully instructed in the related video), but I believe the plugs in the harnesses fit only one way. Would appreciate any ideas -- thanks again for the videos! Edit: I just clicked "...more" on the header for this video and saw your caution to disconnect the battery before doing anything with the electrical connections, and I didn't do that -- so I'm now wondering if disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it (perhaps a little later to allow any residual charge to drain from the system) might help.

    I also run the Stop Tech stainless steel lines on my Yaris and they are definitely short, but I've been running them for about 3 years now, both daily and autocross, with no issues. I do want to comment about setting ride height on the coilovers. The ride height should be set by adjusting the spring perch, not the lower perch. I have a video on my channel that goes into properly adjusting BC coilovers (Megan coilovers are also very similar) on my 08 Yaris. Adjusting the lower perch affects the amount of travel your damper has before it bottoms out and hits the bump stop at full compression (and if the tire will contact the inner fender). You can test it out by removing the spring from the coilover assembly and jacking up the upright assembly throughout the full range of motion with the wheel mounted. Once you set the damper height, then you can set ride height with the spring perch. You may find the spring is a little short on full droop, so a helper spring might be needed to keep everything together. Enjoying the progress on the Yaris so far and would like to see some track footage of the car!

    Hey Interior Auto Mechanic!! I have been loving your videos and honestly have a bunch of questions. I have done a cold air intake, 2az throttle body and ported my intake manifold. Did you find doing the injectors was worth it and worked well? Also you said you have an Intake manifold spacer. What spacer was it and should I also do that if I wanted to do the injectors. Lastly, unrelated but I have been trying to get in contact with FTG Tunning and have had no response, any clue why? Im assuming they are busy or something. Sorry for all the questions, a response would be seriously appreciated because I am a little clueless with figuring this stuff out!! Thanks for all the info you have provided the yaris community!!

    • @TheInteriorAutoMechanic
      @TheInteriorAutoMechanic 2 месяца назад

      @@cyrillegreasley7254 Hey there! Happy to hear that you have been enjoying the videos! I'll have more to come soon! To answer your questions: #1 I'd recommend doing the injectors without them you run the risk of your car running lean because you are adding more Air. Anytime you add more air you should ideally add more fuel so that your air fuel ratio will stay the same. Too lean (too much air) and you'll burn valves too rich (too much fuel) you'll wash the cylinder walls out neither of which are good. Its all about finding a happy balance; so far so good with my set-up however yours may differ. Be sure to do new o-rings if you decide to upgrade your injectors. #2 the intake spacer I have is a Tooter spacer. Unfortunately they are not made anymore so you'll have to try and find a used one. I just got lucky and found mine on Facebook marketplace. I'd recommend checking out the Yarisworld forum and see if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell. This is not a necessary mod. #3 Most likely FTG is in the middle of their racing season. I'd recommend continuing to email them and possibly look for a response a little later in the year when their racing season has cooled down. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions, I'm happy to answer them! Good luck with your project!

    Will this swap work with stock stamped steal 🛞 wheel? Or you must upgrade?

    • @TheInteriorAutoMechanic
      @TheInteriorAutoMechanic 2 месяца назад

      @@abrahamgsolis you will need to upgrade to an alloy or steel that clears the calipers. The factory wheel does not. However, I use a set of Mini Cooper alloy wheels that are 15" that barely clear but they work great just be sure to use hub centric rings and the correct lug nuts. Perfect to keep miles off my track tires.

      @@TheInteriorAutoMechanic thank you! I currently have 15 inch stock steel wheels I wonder if they’ll work. Also how was the difference in stopping? Was it a huge difference?

      @@abrahamgsolis 15" stock wheels will not work. And yes quite a bit of improvement on stopping.

    This video helped me alot on research on the 1nzfe, im still 17 and looking to buy the P1 yaris TS and doing some upgrades on it. Makes me happy to see that people still do videos on these engines in 23/24 and not 2006 lol. Will do some videos myself on the build (probs in a year or 2 from now I kinda dont have a car nor license yet)

    Did you take the intake manifold off and clean it while it was out and what about the inlet ports, they have some carbon deposit in there. Just asking since i have a little more buildup then you do.

      @@tanishanand9773 you definitely can take yours off and clean it if yours has a lot of build up. As for me I did not in this video.
